Little miss has been having a quiet few days, still feeling movement but definitely not as active. Makes me feel more at ease reading alot of you are also the same

I also get quieter days and then phases when baby seems to be having a dance party!

Has anyone else developed eczema since becoming pregnant? The backs of my knees look so raw.

rainbow1982 · 11/02/2020 17:12

Me too with the movements then a quiet time, baby moved for a solid 8 hours one day last week then nothing the day after, must've worn himself/herself out!

I'm a big worrier and I said when movements started I'd stop worrying so when there's a quiet time I have to keep telling myself there's no routine until around 28 weeks apparently

Smiffette · 11/02/2020 18:19

@SearchingTheSkies I used to get eczema when I was younger and then have had flare ups at various points in my life.

But yes since being pregnant I've had a patch appear on my forearm along with really dry flakey forehead!

Busylizzie85 · 11/02/2020 18:28

@SearchingTheSkies I had it on my lower back in the first trimester it’s eased of slightly now thankfully!

peetieswie · 11/02/2020 18:35

So, I've just either just got a great bargain or been stupidly scammed, but been thinking about getting a doona as a lot of people say how great it is. However as its not good for long periods so would only use it for short journeys I decided not to as I couldn't justify the £300. But just seen the same thing on fb advert for less than £30 + free delivery.

Ordered it and hoping for the best!

strolldirect.com/?variant=31994522730631 Anyone see any obvious scam signs?

Blizy · 11/02/2020 18:38

I have my anomaly scan tomorrow, I am utterly terrified. My consultant is scanning me and checking for any Down syndrome soft markers, I'm so scared that my baby has ds but terrified of any related health issues.

peetieswie · 11/02/2020 18:40

Good luck @blizy. Will be thinking of you

chocolate26 · 11/02/2020 18:45

@SearchingTheSkies I've developed a bit of eczema in the crease of my arms, I've never had eczema before. I'm not sure the best way to treat it, I've been putting gentle fragrance free moisturiser on it to see if that helps, maybe E45 cream?

I'm really struggling with work and I think I might just call it quits 😕 I've been off since 6 weeks and went back last week but immediately caught a virus and have felt so unwell and lethargic since. I'm feeling a bit better today but I'm thinking of staying off and then starting my maternity leave at 34 weeks. I'm not going back after maternity leave so I'm not worried about missing out on time with baby after it's born. I'm having a hard time with sickness, tiredness and aches and pains. I have another health condition that makes it harder for me usually so it's no wonder being pregnant is making it even harder.

@Blizy good luck for tomorrow! I'm keeping everything crossed for you 😊

Pegase · 11/02/2020 19:53

Good luck @Blizy. My scan is tomorrow too - will be thinking of you.

APD1981 · 11/02/2020 20:47

Best of luck @Blizy. Will be thinking of you. And you too @pegase! X

Zoey92 · 11/02/2020 21:38

@searchingTheskies I've little bits of my psoriasis returning. I'm really hoping its just a little bit as i battled with it for years

SearchingTheSkies · 12/02/2020 05:36

@Zoey92 @chocolate26 @Busylizzie85 @Smiffette Gosh - seems like it's super common in pregnancy then. I had no idea it could happen! I've been using E45 which is very soothing. Hopefully it goes away again after birth.

Good luck for today @Pegase and @Blizy - let us know how you get on.

Lemonysherbet · 12/02/2020 07:50

@rainbow1982 oh yes I'm a right grumpy Mardybum with no motivation right now. Thought it was just me!!

Been a bit rubbish posting on here lately. My sickness came back badly last week and is still clinging on a bit. I'm so fidgety and grumpy too. Hopefully it passes soon!

25 week midwife appointment today so WFH which is a nice break from the office.

Gigitree · 12/02/2020 07:51

Good luck today @Pegase & @Blizy

Blizy · 12/02/2020 08:29

Good luck @Pegase

APD1981 · 12/02/2020 08:34

@rainbow1982 I'm struggling with motivation and tiredness too. I thought it was just me as everyone says you feel great in the 2nd trimester. I'm finding it really hard in work to actually give a shit. Just doesn't seem like my priority anymore. I also think falling pregnant just 2 months after traumatically losing my dad has meant I've deferred some of my grief. It sort of hit me again last week when I had to go to another family funeral and I feel quite low at the moment. Thought it was just me but if others are feeling a bit crap too, it makes me feel less alone x

chocolate26 · 12/02/2020 11:17

Is anyone having braxton hicks? I started getting them early at about 18 weeks but since last night they have been quite constant and I was awake with them during the night. When they are happening I get back ache and pains in my lower abdomen. I don't want to rush to the hospital for no reason if they aren't real contractions.

Smiffette · 12/02/2020 11:36

@chocolate26 have you called your MW or Triage department? It might be worth just talking to them to see what they suggest.

23+2

chocolate26 · 12/02/2020 11:40

@Smiffette I called them when I was 19+2 and they asked me to come in to be checked as I was having similar tightening and pains. They checked me and checked my cervix and said it was completely closed and they weren't worried. I feel like this is probably similar to that again but I'm a worrier and am terrified of going into labour early, especially before they will even try to save baby.

Smiffette · 12/02/2020 11:46

@chocolate26 if I were you I would just calm them to ease your worry. Getting yourself worked up about it won't be good for you x

Blizy · 12/02/2020 12:06

My scan showed no abnormalities, although I have to back in 3 weeks to get a closer, clearer look at the heart. My relief is palpable. Oh and I'm having a GIRL!

peetieswie · 12/02/2020 13:58

That's great news @blizy. Happy to hear that!!! Congratulations 💖

LillianFullStop · 12/02/2020 15:23

@chocolate26 yes I've been having them for the last 3 weeks. Weird sensation but definitely not painful - also seems like baby is on the bottom half of belly when it happens.

The leg cramps have also started and yes those are really painful!!

Mj2196 · 12/02/2020 15:57

Well we’ve just had our 4D scan brought forward So it’s not 2 weeks today 😁. she saw I said I had anterior placenta and have asked me to come at 24+3 . They recommend 24-26 weeks and they will only offer a free re scan up at 26 weeks with anterior . So hopefully still get 2 chances of getting some good pics of baby !
