@LillianFullStop all my baby’s kicks are super low too, she used to be kind of sideways but now I think she’s head up feet down. They still have loads of time to turn though right? At what point does it start to be a concern if they haven’t turned?

MissisBee · 10/02/2020 15:50

Mine seems to enjoy kicking my cervix more than anywhere else. Most uncomfortable! @UKtoSK wouldn't worry about position until after 30-odd weeks. I don't think they consider turning breech babies before about 37-ish.

MrssC92 · 10/02/2020 16:07

All my kicks have been lower down as well. Has anyone been told they have a low lying placenta and been referred to a consultant for it? Just wondering what to expect really. I wasn't told at the scan but I telephoned today to ask why I had a consultant appointment and was told it is because of the placenta position

SearchingTheSkies · 10/02/2020 16:53

My kicks are also very low down and I'm sure baby is pressing on bladder a fair bit of the time as it feels like it has pressure on it.

My boobs don't seem to have changed a huge amount. I was expecting a huge growth spurt but no obvious change yet other than itchiness and slightly fuller feeling.

Hope everyone in the UK survived the storm. Not too much damage in my area.

AmyMaria2 · 10/02/2020 16:57

@MrssC92 I had a low lying anterior placenta and was referred to the consultant as it can take natural birth off the table, it's usually covering your cervix and birth canal but my placenta had moved by my 20 week scan, it's still anterior but it's now high, hopefully yours moves out the way as well as baby grows xx

Rinoa · 10/02/2020 17:39

Same kicks feel low and usually at the sides

Gigitree · 10/02/2020 18:16

My kicks have always been low the whole time, in the middle and to the left most of the time. Which makes sense as she was laying over to the left during my 20 week scan on Friday.

@UKtoSK haha I know how you feel! My boobs never change size no matter if I gain weight or due to hormones etc. I can remember my friends and I going on the pill at various stages when we were in our late teens and they all got massive boobs and mine stayed a b cup 😂
They have got a tiny bit bigger during pregnancy but only noticeable to me and my hubby and deffo don’t need to be buying new bras etc! Oh well saves money I guess 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Smiffette · 10/02/2020 19:02

I'm still not feeling anything... although I'm beginning to wonder if the discomfort I get in the exact same place everyday just below might rob, is actually her pushing some body part there!

23 weeks

BabyBird20 · 10/02/2020 19:02

Had the second part of my 20 week scan today! He behaved himself for them so got the shots they needed and he is all good! 😍 love his little foot!!

The comments on here about the boobs made me chuckle, mine have been getting progressively bigger but only really clocked it yesterday when my husband commented and he never notices anything!! 😂😂

@BabyBird20 ahhh glad it went well and they got what they needed! Such a lovely scan pic ❤️

RPPs · 10/02/2020 21:59

@BabyBird20 That's i lovely wee pic. That would make a nice framed photo.

As for boobs, I'm only usually a B cup but now I actually fill it. Ha ha for the first time ever. My DH refers to them as Page 3 boobs, clearly jesting but it gives us both a laugh.

Has anyone had mega kicks that literally make you yelp. Not in pain but a little uncomfortable? Im derparate to know what is happening in there. I wonder if Bambino is kicking my placenta.

I'm in the 💛 team too. I keep referring to Baby as him because the kicks are so strong.

Ive also noticed my bump expanding over night just after 20 weeks. It seems to go all the way around my sides now and feeling kicks mostly low but also in the corners of my sides. Its mental. Anyone else feeling this?

newbyxx · 11/02/2020 06:49

Anyone still getting quiet days with there little one? Two days ago he was kicking and my belly was moving and then yesterday I struggled to work out whether it was him or not. Sets me off worrying today x

APD1981 · 11/02/2020 07:14

@RPPs I get really strong kicks like that too. They can take your breath away. Last night it felt like it was punching my belly button and stamping on my bladder at the same time. I think mine is a boy too!

@newbyxx I've not had days where I've not felt it at all for a few weeks now but I definitely do have days where it's not as active. On Sunday it didn't stop moving all day. But then yesterday it was just the regular times it normally moves that I noticed it. Try not to worry, they're still just playing about in there and probably move more than we can feel!

Cb31 · 11/02/2020 07:20

I definitely have some days that are quieter than others. It is hard not to worry about it. I seem to get kicks in loads of different places. Had some really high yesterday, usually they are lower and can be on either side. The worst are when I can only assume they are kicking my cervix. Some days loads of kicks can be felt on the outside and other days only I can feel them. I've got an anterior placenta but still seem to feel quite alot of movement. Baby must be super wriggly!

Busylizzie85 · 11/02/2020 07:39

I have a lot of quiet days and I am sure there is no regular pattern either to the movements I can feel which worries me some times! It’s very hard to know what’s normal and what’s not at this stage, there’s a lot of room in there still which makes me think the baby could just be facing the wrong way but is still maybe kicking a lot but I just can’t feel it!?

Is anyone waking up in the night with pins and needles in their hands? It's driving me insane. Not sure how to make it stop without lying on my back instead of my side

RPPs · 11/02/2020 07:46

@newbyxx I do have very active days followed by very quiet days. And i never feel Baby when Im standing or walking, only when sitting or lying down. If you are really worried just call the Day Assessment Unit and speak to a midwife. Or try to get a reaction by drinking a cold drink or eating something sweet. They will ask you to try this before coming in.

chocolate26 · 11/02/2020 08:15

I definitely have days where baby is more active than others, Friday i felt it move pretty much all day and then Saturday i felt it move a little bit in the morning and a little bit in the evening. Sunday and yesterday he/she was quite active and today I've woken up and it's kicking all over the place 😊 I had a day last week where I didn't feel it move until midday and I started to panic then.

I feel kicks mostly low down too, sometimes I feel like by my belly button and around my sides but mostly down low.

UKtoSK · 11/02/2020 09:02

I’m another one with quiet days and busy days. Friday evening and all through Saturday she was moving so much I actually started to worry about that lol. Then since Sunday she’s been moving just at her regular times and when I eat. Some days the movements are stronger than others too. @RPPs I also feel a lot of kicks in the kind of low down corners. And yes to belly expanding overnight since 20 weeks!

AndddddHerewegoagain · 11/02/2020 09:21

@Cb31 thats carpal tunnel syndrome. Another fun pregnancy side effect. You need to get some wrist splints to sleep in. I had this with my first.

Im a few weeks ahead of you guys (should technically be in the May group as i got my dates wrong but i started here so im sticking here Grin )

Im 25+6 today and baby still hasn't settled into a pattern, my son definitely had a routine by now. And 2 or 3 weeks ago i could go all day without feeling much!

LillianFullStop · 11/02/2020 11:35

@UKtoSK I don't think having feet down is anything to worry about at this stage - probably not until 36w or so. They still have so much room to spin around!

I feel more movement when I'm sitting or lying down as well. Sounds about right as DD1 as a baby wanted to sleep on the move (in a sling, pram, carried and walked/bounced around) but as soon as you stopped or sat down she would wake up! I think our movements lull them to sleep.

Cb31 · 11/02/2020 12:13

@AndddddHerewegoagain thanks! I had a physio appointment this morning for some pain I've been having at the top of my back. So I mentioned the pins and needles and he gave me some wrist splints! Hopefully I'll get a better night sleep with them tonight x

rainbow1982 · 11/02/2020 12:42

Hi ladies, does anyone else have days where they feel really lethargic and grumpy? Today is an absolute write off, I lay on the couch all morning and then had to force myself to even go to the post office with an eBay parcel. I'm back on the couch now, everywhere is clean and tidy and there's nothing I should be doing but I feel bad when I have a lazy day like this!! I feel really sick on and off and have got ZERO energy! Please tell me it's not just me?

Rinoa · 11/02/2020 13:09

@rainbow1982 yes I thought it was just me ! I feel so grumpy and just off for no reason. It's so annoying! I was so tempted to just call off work it was so bad. But forced myself to come in lol

rainbow1982 · 11/02/2020 13:32

Aw I feel for you having to go to work, be proud of yourself for making it in though, well done!! I'm not working at the moment, I had 3 losses really close together and I was only in a temp job, the 3rd one hit me hard so we decided I'd quit and we'd focus on getting our baby, I'm so glad I quit! Thing is though I feel a bit useless now and at 23 weeks I'm pretty much unemployable, normally keep busy doing lots of batch cooking, cleaning, visiting family etc but then get a day like this where EVERYTHING annoys me and I just stare at the tv! What type of job do u do and how long have u got left?
