@BabyBird20 yes mine said the same! Luckily I'll be just over 25 weeks when I see MW next so if I've still not felt anything, I'll
Mention it.

MrssC92 · 04/02/2020 18:59

Try some chocolate or a cold drink to get baby moving. My baby was a little quiet today and last night so I've just had a cold glass of Apple juice and some chocolate and sure enough baby is kicking away again.

I had my 20 week scan on Friday but baby wouldn't stop moving so they didn't get to see the heart, diaphragm or nose and mouth so we're back again on Thursday. I'm a bit worried that she said she didn't see the nose and mouth because she showed us baby moving their mouth open and closed (I cried because it was so sweet!) so she had seen it. Just hope all goes well on thursday!

BabyBird20 · 04/02/2020 20:09

@MrssC92 I have exactly the same, got the second part on Monday to see the heart, nose and mouth and abdomen. They have very specific things they need to tick off so I'm trying not to worry. Everything they did see was positive so feeling hopeful!! 🤞🤞

umabb · 04/02/2020 20:31

I had an appointment in the afternoon to see the doctor to get a repeating prescription and didn't expect to see the MW but I did - really lucky. She listened to baby's heart beat and it's all good. While I was waiting at the pharmacy I felt the familiar fluttering again - a bit lighter as if he turned to a deeper corner but he's active as usual again. Phew !
Thanks for your replies ladies as always appreciate them xx and yes agree all MWs have said to me not to expect a pattern just yet . I just couldn't control myself overthinking 🤪

When you think about the 20 week scan and the sonographer tells you they can't get a proper view because Baby is moving so much but You don't feel it at all. It goes to show that there are many movements we dont even feel.

Getting a 24hr heart monitor on Thursday as well as the whooping cough vaccine and bloods rerun. Then having an echo on Sunday. Hoping all will be fine.

Cant help thinking that the stress levels at work are a major contributor.

MissisBee · 04/02/2020 21:22

Hi ladies. Had my scan this morning. All went well, baby mostly cooperating, and she's a girl! Big long legs like her brother. At one point had both feet up by her face, then was trying to grab her feet, then she relaxed with her hands behind her head!

Rinoa · 04/02/2020 21:45

@MissisBee congratulations! You broke the boy streak 😂 aww I love watching scans ! It's amazing how they grow

QforCucumber · 05/02/2020 10:34

oh that's lovely @MissisBee.

We have booked a holiday, for Sunday! so, SHIT need to run about like a lunatic on my lunch breaks for the next 3 days to get everything sorted - but am definitely looking forward to relaxing (as much as you can with an almost 4 year old)

Maternity swimsuits are not the most flattering though are they?! Can't find any I like!

Smiffette · 05/02/2020 14:05

@QforCucumber I've not been able to find any swimsuits that look particularly flattering! Next do a few though...

We've booked a mini babymoon to the Brecon Beacons at the end of March, don't expect to do a lot of walking, I'll be 30 weeks then, but it looked so peaceful and relaxing.

22+2

Rinoa · 05/02/2020 18:31

I ordered this last week for a babymoon beginning of March, think it's a bit old lady but will only be for the indoor pool lol I think I'll be 27 weeks by then

QforCucumber · 05/02/2020 19:29

I've ordered a couple of bikinis from next and a maternity swimsuit from boohoo. We are going to tenerife and apparently its supposed to be 24 degrees while we are there.

UKtoSK · 05/02/2020 21:05

I hope everyone having babymoons has a great time! We’ve just cancelled ours this week. We had booked four nights in Guam at the end of this month but had to cancel because the risk of Coronavirus out here is getting too much. So far at least 18 people in Korea, but with so much travel between here and China it’s bound to increase.

Started a prenatal yoga class this week, thought it’d be a good way to meet some local pregnant women but there’s only one other in my class so far, and she’s already 33 weeks so might not be coming for much longer.

mrssunshinexxx · 05/02/2020 22:26

Got my scan in the morning ladies feeing v anxious be glad when it's over x

peetieswie · 05/02/2020 22:52

Just bought an owlet monitor second hand. I know I'm going to be paranoid about breathing and husband's triplet died of SIDs so he wasn't opposed either. Probably a waste of money but I'll be checking on baby Constantly otherwise. I've become baby product obsessed over the last week since scan! Bought a second hand pump but not I've read online you shouldn't reuse the medela pump so not sure what to do with it now.

Anyone else baby product mad?

Gigitree · 06/02/2020 05:40

Good luck today @mrssunshinexxx
Got mine tomorrow and I can’t wait, feels like it’s taken ages to get to this point!

@peetieswie we’ve been thinking about getting the owlet too, we don’t have a family history of SIDS but we’re just generally worrisome people (the next few months/years will be a hoot! 😂)

AmyMaria2 · 06/02/2020 06:16

Good luck @mrssunshinexxx I'm sure it will be lovely to see baby again🤗

@peetieswie yes! I got so much after my scan, and some before.. I don't think I need alot more. I do need a pump, and looking at sleepyheads x

23+1

mrssunshinexxx · 06/02/2020 07:38

Barely slept a wink will update soon thanks ladies x

Twittlebee · 06/02/2020 07:55

Got my scan today too @mrssunshinexxx 🤞

Not sure why you shouldnt re use that pump @peetieswie as those are the pumps they gave us in NICU to share. If NICU are happy to let people re use and share those pumps then surely it's okay?

Will you be looking elsewhere @UKtoSK ? Worth seeing if you can pop somewhere else maybe?

We are meant to be going on a little caravan holiday end of March but not sure its wise now as I'm meant to be on rest

Zoey92 · 06/02/2020 08:42

Mornong all, hows everyone feeling?

Ive one active little girl, managed to catch the kicks a few times on camera 😊
Finally started buying, I've been abit laid back with buying tbh & just enjoying being pregnant.
Anyones boobs really itchy? Mine are crazy!
Anyone on here self employed? I really cant decide when to finish work. I run a salon an plan on slowing down from mid April but not sure on finishing.
@twittlebee hope you're doing ok. Maybe ask your midwife but I'd say take it easy

20+4

BabyBird20 · 06/02/2020 08:58

@Zoey92 mine are!! Drive me nuts when I can't scratch the itch!! I'm using a lot of palmers cocoa butter which does help though. My little bean gave me a few kicks the other day but still not really feeling him yet, nothing yesterday but the last couple of scans he's been lying facing inwards so probably just kicking the placenta! 😬🤞

UKtoSK · 06/02/2020 10:21

@Twittlebee Guam itself would probably be safe but it’s the going through the airport here in Seoul that’s worrying. 23 people confirmed now in Korea and two of those caught it while travelling, one in Thailand and one in Singapore. We might be able to have a weekend away in country in a few months if it’s all passed by then. If it isn’t contained before June I’m worried my mum won’t even be able to come out here for the birth. Hope you’re doing ok on rest!

BabyBird20 · 06/02/2020 10:36

I've just been back to docs as still feeling awful and they've finally given me antibiotics! She's also signed me off for another week of rest so having major teacher guilt!!

On the plus side, she listened to baby's heartbeat for me and it was incredible!! First time I've heard it!! 😍😍😍

mrssunshinexxx · 06/02/2020 11:17

Scan went mainly very well they picked up a problem with one kidney so going back in 3 weeks for another scan and to see consultant we are so lucky to have the nhs

Cornishbumpkin · 06/02/2020 12:37

Oo @QforCucumber when are you going to Tenerife? We are going last week of feb Grin

Finally felt a kick inside and out last night, despite it being 3am it was the most amazing feeling

QforCucumber · 06/02/2020 12:45
