Lovely thank you!

Rinoa · 02/02/2020 21:51

Yea so far loving the Boots parenting club thing. Even if you don't see it on the shelf while shopping it's worth asking at the till. I did that for the first freebee and they had it in the back room.

Larrydavid · 02/02/2020 22:43

@peetieswie yeah I'm not convinced either way. I've had a look at pics and don't think I'd be able to tell! My partner has been convinced it's a girl the whole time so I think he's just using this to prove his point 😂

AmyMaria2 · 02/02/2020 23:49

@newbyxx I'm still not feeling movement, I was told at my scan that my placenta is still anterior but not low lying anymore, so natural birth is back on the table but still no movement!! I feel the odd thing happen when I'm in the bath, I assume it's baby but nothing much, I'm really hoping I start feeling him soon!!
You must of been worried when you stopped feeling as much, at least you heard heart beat and know everything's okay, hope you feel more again soon it must be lovely!! X

22+4

Gigitree · 03/02/2020 05:31

Has anyone else’s morning sickness come back? Mine disappeared for a few weeks but since week 18 has slowly come back and today it is worse than ever! Confused

19+5

AmyMaria2 · 03/02/2020 05:38

@Gigitree I'm still sick every now again in the mornings and if the smell of something sets me off 🙈 I'm 22+4. I hope yours isn't back for long x

Gigitree · 03/02/2020 05:45

@AmyMaria2 oh no! 😫 I’m starting to think when they say it eventually goes away they’re just lying and in fact it will be with me for the rest of the pregnancy 😭😭

Fingers crossed it goes away soon for both of us (and anyone else still suffering) x

Magpiefeather · 03/02/2020 06:35

Yep @gigitree exactly the same for me. Yesterday was the only day this week I haven’t been sick...

I was the same last pregnancy and if it’s any comfort it did wear off again, but I did have the odd day of sickness here and there through the rest of the pregnancy. Looks like it’s going to be the same again for me!

Hope you feel better soon.

Agree with most of you re sex! I actually do feel quite sexy and am up for, er, other things, but actual sex is not fun at the moment for me so it’s off the table!

Re 20 week scan and finding out baby’s sex, with ours she had to properly zoom in and have a detailed look at the bits. No way would I have known just from a passing glance . But I think it probably depends on baby’s position. They asked us whether we’d like to know before the scan and then again at the end when they’d done all their anomaly checks.

TMI but anyone else have crusty nips already?! Only 20 weeks here but must be leaking a tiny bit?!

chocolate26 · 03/02/2020 06:44

My sickness was awful at the beginning, sick up to 6 times a day, that lasted until I was about 10 weeks and then it went down to once or twice a day until about 12 weeks and then since then it has got gradually better. I've found my sickness has been replaced now with the worst acid/indigestion! It's so bad it makes me feel so unwell, I take omeprazole for it but going back to my doctor tomorrow about it.

Scan at 8.30 thismorning! It feels like I've been waiting ages for this ☺️

APD1981 · 03/02/2020 07:15

@chocolate26 finally scan time. Enjoy it! X

mrssunshinexxx · 03/02/2020 07:58

@Magpiefeather yes to crusty nips

peetieswie · 03/02/2020 08:12

Off work with a cold today. Feel like a wuss but it's really hit me. I think not being able to take cold medication hasn't helped. I've checked and coronavirus doesn't present as a cold thank goodness or I'd be convinced I was going to die.

Felt two kicks when I was bed in last night. Thought I'd be excited but it really scared me and I didn't like it. Is that really bad? It's a good sign obviously, but felt really weird and freaked me out.

peetieswie · 03/02/2020 08:15

Also, keep seeing adverts on my social media for a special seat belt click that clips the seatbelt down between your legs. I have been worrying as it naturally sits across my stomach and I keep trying to pull it down. Anyone got one or am I just being a paranoid pregnant person?

Cb31 · 03/02/2020 08:33

@peetieswie I keep seeing that advert too! It's horrible, just makes me really worried. I'd never heard of it before so wondered whether anyone else had bought one.

Twittlebee · 03/02/2020 08:51

Regarding that seatbelt, if it was an issue then our MWs and Drs would be telling us surely? If the NHS doesnt recommend it then I would question if it's really even safe for us to wear it?

I was in a car crash with my 2nd son (hit from behind) and the Drs weren't remotely worried about baby being harmed by the actual accident itself. They of course done all the checks etc. But what they were far more worried about was my anxiety going crazy for my pulse and blood pressure etc effecting my baby

APD1981 · 03/02/2020 09:28

@peetieswie I have got the most horrendous virus. Started a week last friday as a really bad throat (thought it was an infection) but by last Monday had improved and I dragged myself to work for 2 days. By last Thursday I felt like I'd been hit by a bus again and eventually on Friday afternoon cold symptoms came out. But this has been the worst cold I've ever had. Seriously. I've not been able to eat or sleep. I've been ever so poorly and still am. Fortunately it has fallen mostly on my days off from work but I'm due back in tomorrow so I'll have to see if I can cope. I've never missed cold and flu remedies more. It's been a horrendous week or so.

I hope you feel better soon x

BabyBird20 · 03/02/2020 09:33

@peetieswie I keep seeing that ad too! Haven't asked Mw yet but on the nhs website it just says to ensure the seatbelt is under the bump not across it. I keep trying to tuck mine under but bump isn't the right shape to keep it there yet!! 😬😬

Sorry hear about your cold! It's so rubbish, I've been signed off for the week as already been off for a week! Feeling terribly guilty about it!

MissisBee · 03/02/2020 12:07

I don't think there's any need for seatbelt adapters and may make it less safe for you in a crash. If they were necessary, they'd be telling us all to use them.
My sickness is definitely improved from about 16 weeks, but definitely hasn't gone away. Tried to do without a sickness tablet on Saturday and still feel rubbish, even though I've been taking them again as normal. Really tired today. Have skipped our usual mums and tots as DS has a bad cold. Was going to go to the shops for a couple of things, but can't even be bothered to do that. It's a lovely day, so I feel I ought to get us out for fresh air, but really haven't the energy

Pegase · 03/02/2020 13:37

Has anyone experienced sharp stabbing pains at all? Am having sharp pains at the top of my pelvis/underside of bump like someone is driving a needle into my womb for a second and then it goes away. It is really making me catch my breath though. Doesn't feel like a contraction as is acute in a single spot.

MissisBee · 03/02/2020 13:55

@Pegase I had that last weekend. Felt like a jab just to the right of the middle of the lower part of my bump, going down towards my pubic bone. Happened quite frequently over several days then stopped as suddenly as it started. I put it down to a nerve being irritated.

BabyBird20 · 03/02/2020 14:14

@pegase I'm getting that quite a lot at the moment with coughs and sneezes. Got to a point where the stabbing pain gets me gasp! Think it's the ligaments stretching still but have an emergency midwife about my blood pressure this avo so will ask her!

Twittlebee · 03/02/2020 14:29

Yeah think that's all part of the ligament pains @Pegase as we are all getting to that point of rapidly expanding bumps now!

(You'll know it's a contraction as your bump goes all hard)

QforCucumber · 03/02/2020 15:40

Hi all, you're all so chatty! We've had the busiest weekend moving into FIL house, 4 weeks then our own one will be ready and can start decorating - cannot wait.

Ref finding out the sex - with DS we'd not have had a clue tbh, but this time around I noticed as soon as she started measuring the thigh, DH too shouted 'its a boy there's his penis' and the sonographer laughed and said yup those are boy bits. That was at a 16 week fetal medicine scan, she confirmed again at the 20 week scan.

RPPs · 03/02/2020 17:17

@twittlebee yes Ive literally noticed that my bump has bloomed. It was kind of pointy but now I've filled out at the sides now too. Slapping the bio oil on as my skin feels quite taught.

So apparently at this stage our babiws can hear us. So I've started talking to see if I can get any movement. No joke, little Bambino is kicking away when I talk to it. Ive tried it on 2 different occasions when there's been no movement. Once in the bath and lying in the bath. Feeling like Im falling in love with baby but nervous of getting ahead of myself with 19 weeks to go.

chocolate26 · 03/02/2020 17:23

20 week scan today went well, everything looks good 😊 very relieved! Saw baby yawning, it was really sweet. I am 20+2 today but on my scan notes she has put that baby measured 20+6, she didn't change my due date though, does this mean I am still 20+2 or am I now 20+6?
