Hey all, don't know if anyone still around on here, but I don't use Facebook but I would like to join the thread. I am around 5ish weeks pregnant, due mid October, I am not fully sure of dates because I've luckily fallen pregnant straight after a miscarriage at 9+6 at the start of Jan, so have no idea when to date from. I feel a little shell shocked by the whole experience, part of me still partly wonders whether it's left over hormone but the EPU have told me it's extremely likely to be a new pregnancy due to scans saying nothing left and a negative pregnancy test a couple of weeks after the mc. Plus I've had no period and still getting stronger positives.. so here I am. Looking forward to getting past the first trimester!
I have 2 children already, 5 and 3.

Hi seaduck I've been hoping to Cathay for the last few days wondering if everyone's over on fb? Congratulations and sorry for your loss. I'm so nervous about losing this one I've had a stressful few weeks and just feel a bit exhausted right now. My hormones are flying a bit already I've cried twice today!

@seaduck Hi, this will be my third too. Mine are 6 and 2. I had a miscarriage in November and it took 6 weeks for the HCG to go so my tests were positive for the whole 6 weeks. So sounds like this is a new pregnancy for you! If you had a negative then the HCG must have gone. Do you think the EPU will see you after 6 weeks to check? I'm hoping mine will for peace of mind !!

@butterflylove81 Ah, I am very similar, so far my only symptoms are extreme moods, including crying a lot and exhaustion. It must be hard to read about people's losses when you are anxious already, remember more babies stick around than don't so you've got that on your side.
@rhirhibumblebee I know, I need to stop clarifying everything with might be pregnant and start believing it now. So sorry about your mc also. The EPU didn't seem to want to see me, just said test again in another week. Lovely you are on #3 too, how do you find your age gap between your two? Mine will be almost 4 years apart when this one arrives, seems so big compared to 2 years!

@seaduck I think it's just so common sometimes it's hard to believe things will be okay, I've got two gorgeous girls fingers crossed all goes ok for us all xxxx

Nice that this will both be your thirds too. My age gap is going to be quite small I'm sure it will be okay I know it's going to irritate me when I tell people one person I told has already called me mad! I was like thanks!

Ps, I’ve got major jet lag as we got home from Vegas last night. I knew I had a digital test in the drawer that I wanted to do once I’d had my BFP...

Non stop crying for the last 10 minutes and a huge wave of nausea, not sure if they’re pregnancy symptoms or shock seeing it in black and white 🤣 xx

@seaduck I had a feeling EPU won't be interested unless there's a problem! I found a place that does early scans from 6 weeks for £45. Not sure if I'm tempted or not!
Actually the 4 year age gap was perfect! Now I'll have an almost 3 year old and a baby and I'm more nervous with the closer gap. My 4 year old was a good age because he could do a lot himself and after 7 months he went off to school too. This time I'll have two at home for longer xx

I've created a FB group for mums due in October. It's called 8481 club and the picture is a purple flower bush so l no one will know you're pregnant from joining.

At the moment its private so you can still find it, but once everyone has joined we can make it completely hidden.

Hi can I join the chat on this thread too please? I'm not ready to join a facebook group yet, I feel like I'm chancing my luck. I got my bfp last night at 12dpo so I'm currently 3+6 if I follow the nhs website (I have long cycles though so if I use date of last period I am 4+6). Due 28th October. Eek! I have a 3yr old DS already.
