@GinUnicorn it's not an exact science so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, but good to get it checked out anyway for peace of mind.

@november90 definitely look up spinning babies! But there's still time for baby to move around. Do you have a birth ball? There's definitely things you can do to encourage baby to turn head down if you have a search Smile Your midwife/hospital wouldn't "let" you vaginally birth a breech baby?

I found an interesting article earlier about vaginal examinations in labour, which I thought I'd share. You don't have to be on your back and you don't have to say yes!

My regular midwife is amazing and SO supportive. She was my midwife with my first and I'm so lucky to have her again. I feel like she really understands me and cares esp with what's happened. She told me that they don't discourage breach deliveries any more given the baby is a good weight but mine is measuring large 😩😩😩
I've been on all fours for about 30 mins now and my shoulders are hurting so I'm gonna call it a day!
I'll look up spinning babies, thank you !

@november90 - what a little cutie he is 😍😍😍

Clairesoph · 06/03/2020 08:06

Hi all,

Long time, no post from us!
How are you all getting on? Mat leave starts (well, annual leave first) on 31st of March but my SPD just kicked it up a notch so I couldn't be more grateful for an earlier finish. Hormones are everywhere, anxiety is through the roof about this bloody virus and we got our planning permission do building starts at 32 weeks pregnant, cheers hubby! 🤣👌

My baby is breech atm too but hoping he'll get himself organised at the last minute! I love seeing all your 4d scans, I can't wait for the comparisons after they're born 😍

Anyway, the sun is shining here today and it's getting me excited, summers coming! These babies are coming, better days are coming! ☀️ have a fab weekend xxxx

Caspianberg · 06/03/2020 10:05

@november90 - what a clear image. Our recent ones have been fairly fuzzy due to face in placenta!

Baby was head down here at scan yesterday. Not sure if they will stay that way though as assume they can still move back the wrong way also atm. He's estimated 4lbs already.

facevalue · 06/03/2020 10:16

@Clairesoph hehe i want whatever drugs u r on!
thanks for spreading the joy🥰 our building work started monday and we r a mess already! so stressful- how long is your building work is going to take ( x2) x good luck

facevalue · 06/03/2020 10:16

@november90 beautiful baby x exciting to see

Sunshine8888 · 06/03/2020 11:14

Thanks for replying @Naughtysausage. I’ve looked on amazon and there seems to be loads of different ones - how do I know which one to get?!

Sunshine8888 · 06/03/2020 11:14

Awww such lovely pics @november90 💙

Naughtysausage · 06/03/2020 14:46

@Sunshine8888 mine was a secondhand boots own brand one. Worked a treat. Just need to find where I put it and check I can buy replacement pads. Hmm

Clairesoph · 06/03/2020 17:00

@facevalue 😩🤣 honestly have to force it most days, but the sunshine is helping a lot!!! Oh bless ya, I feel for ya with all the work going on. Makes such a mess doesn't it!!! Ours is being split into two halves, the first starting in a couple of weeks involves moving two bedroom windows, knocking through two walls to create a long landing and then plastering, decorating and carpeting all before baby is born. The next stage is the extension itself and knocking downstairs about a bit but that will be this time next year probably!

Oh another thing I was gonna ask everyone was how much weight they've gained 🤣👌 I'm packing an extra 3 stone so far, no self control whatsoever!

helpasisterout · 06/03/2020 20:39

Being brutally truthful here - anyone else struggling to shave now? Can't see passed belly! Would hair removal cream be an option does anyone know? Apologies for lowering the tone!

sazzlerazzle · 06/03/2020 20:49

@helpasisterout get yourself booked in for a wax! Painful but so worth it

sazzlerazzle · 06/03/2020 20:50

@Sunshine8888 I believe you can hire them from boots, have you considered this instead of buying one?

facevalue · 06/03/2020 20:55

@helpasisterout speaking of lowering the tone! i've got a problem - i'm not sure if it's dryness or eczema which i never had before😒 i'm using a nappy rash cream to sooth but there's nothing to see to be honest so no idea what's going on!

definitely book for a full bikini wax- i really don't find them painful

Moonstone12 · 07/03/2020 00:08

@Sunshine8888 you can definitely hire tens machines from boots. Highly recommended. My 2nd labour it's all unused as pain relief. Need to book mine for this time from boots x

AlmostAlwyn · 07/03/2020 07:56

I don't think you can just switch to waxing? How many weeks would you have to leave the hair to grow before going?

@helpasisterout would your partner help you out? Have a nice bath and ask him to do it? Grin

sazzlerazzle · 07/03/2020 08:00

@AlmostAlwyn true, you would need to give it around 4 weeks minimum after shaving so it’s a bit of a pain but I find the results of a wax so much better than shaving.

Although your suggestion of getting partner to do it certainly isn’t a bad one 😉

sazzlerazzle · 07/03/2020 08:03

@Sunshine8888 actually I’ve just looked and you can buy a machine for around the same as the boots hire!

sao81 · 07/03/2020 08:17

@helpasisterout don't use hair removal cream whatever you do, teenage me tried that once and I've never felt a burn like it 🙈🙈🙈

AlmostAlwyn · 07/03/2020 08:35

You don't want to accidentally miss a bit of the cream Blush

facevalue · 07/03/2020 09:09

@sazzlerazzle i wouldn't worry about having to wait 4 weeks, as soon as the hairs are 3mm /visible /can be held you can go for a wax- also these days they have (Hard wax) which only binds to the hair, never the skin, therefore it can be applied several times to the same area without causing damage to the skin underneath ( slightly more expensive but i find it to be completely painless). i get no irritation at all.

goodluck

Sunshine8888 · 07/03/2020 09:36

@sazzlerazzle yes I was looking on amazon and they didn’t seem that expensive! Just wasn’t sure which one to get as prices did vary a bit!
