Hey everyone,

Hoping there will be some people moving over here from conception like me who just got their BFPs.

I’m currently 3 weeks and 5 days - feeling the bloat already and tiredness! Scared but excited :)

Could only see an Aug/sept bus and I’m a little later as my EDD is 18/09/2020

Did try and join the September bus that’s already on there but was lost in translation or something šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø As nobody wanted to chat, feeling a little lonely as the girls on the conception boards were so lovely and wish I had someone to move here with!

Anyway I’ll try and start a new one here and see how it goes :)

I haven’t told anyone yet. When I fell pregnant last year, I told 4 of my closest friends and my PIL (they were about to book a holiday for the August (DD was September) when I wouldn’t have been able to fly. I then had a MC so I am telling no one this time. I couldn’t cope with having to tell them that my pregnancy was over.

I’m up for the FB group. Has one been set up or would you like me to do it and post a link in here?

mimmi91 · 17/01/2020 06:29

I'm up to join the FB group too! :)

I'm going to tell my mum today, mostly for support ; so won't be doing anything grand, just blurt it out... The only thing I worry about is my dad feeling left out once I tell him...

My boobs finally started to hurt a bit last night, after I removed my bra! Yay haha! It's not constant, but they feel really heavy, and when my sweater rubs on my nipples it tingles hard!!

My HCG line on IC's is also getting stronger, so at least I feel happy each morning haha!

Hope everyone slept well! Anyone else falling asleep and waking up ridiculously early? I am literally out by 10pm, and therefore wide away before my alarm even goes off at 6:30...!!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/01/2020 06:51

I have always been an early to bed, early to rise person but it’s particularly bad now mimmi91. I was fine last night and then suddenly I couldn’t keep my eyes open.

Louisewmcg1234 · 17/01/2020 08:29

@K8113 I hear you with the nausea. I'm not vomiting I'm just heaving like crazy and with cramping it makes me feel even more sick. I've a little box of crackers by my bed now for when sickness hits. Seems to be at any stage of the day. Got my early scan at 6+5 and everything looks good according to my doctor. I'm booked for another in two weeks to keep an eye on our little bundle of joy. Congratulations to everyone on your bfp Smile xxx

Louisewmcg1234 · 17/01/2020 08:38

I should have said I'm up for the Facebook group too! Xx

abwebbs · 17/01/2020 08:41

If someone wants to set one up as im not very tech savvy and no doubt will do it wrong šŸ˜‚šŸ™ˆ
Xx

Bumblelion20 · 17/01/2020 08:45

Good morning. May I join? Due 20th September. First pregnancy so super nervous but excited Smile.

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 08:58

@K8113 I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, I can imagine that it's especially emotional for you now, being pregnant. I'm sure she would be so happy about it and it's really nice you're close to your mother in law. šŸ’›
Yes this is my first everything too - we got pregnant very quickly which was a blessing so just hoping everything else keeps going well! I understand about the worrying. I'm generally a bit of a worrier too. I did sooooo much googling in first few weeks but I've stopped now, although definitely still look up things sometimes! I don't think it helps that we don't see the midwife for bloody ages, my first blood test and appt is on Mon when I am 8 weeks! Apparently this is normal but some people seem to be having earlier appointments so I'm not sure šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
Anyway I found the expression "worrying is like praying for something bad to happen" slightly helpful haha. I mean at the end of the day, worrying probably won't stop things it cause things. For me it got a bit better after 6 weeks ish maybe just got a bit more used to feeling pregnant...

Welcome to all who have recently joined and congratulations x

I can try to set up a FB group now and will post link! āœØā™„ļø

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 09:01

*won't stop or cause things is what I meant to say!

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 09:09

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 09:13

The setting is private so only members can see who is in the group and what we post. I made the name "DD September 2020 ā¤ļø"
To keep a little bit of the mystery haha

abwebbs · 17/01/2020 09:16

@IslayBrigid the link worked. Ive asked to join 😁
Thankyou for setting it up x

Flossie333 · 17/01/2020 09:42

@IslayBrigid you are so right- just not worth it purely for the feeling of guilt I would have if something happened. Going to come up with another plan! Thank you xx

@BeingATwatItsABingThing sadly I live in London so driving parking isn't the easiest haha! I may just bail on a few things xxxx

notasillysausage · 17/01/2020 10:04

@IslayBrigid I’ve asked to join, thanks for setting up!

IslayBrigid · 17/01/2020 10:48

@Flossie333 good plan! You just need to put your poker face on. Did you see the FB link? Hoping we can all join.

All - here is the link again for those keen to join a private FB group!

Takeabath · 17/01/2020 11:02

Just joined :) hope that’s ok & thanks for setting up

B0220s · 17/01/2020 11:05

I've just requested to join, fingers crossed this isn't me tempting fate lol šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø.
My sickness has been so bad this past week I'm 6+5 today and I just feel like death lol! My boobs hurt a lot less still having random cramps and I'm covered in spots but it's definitely the sickness and nausea that's really awful at the moment.
Hope you are all well x

Sunflower2019 · 17/01/2020 12:39

Hi girls, I’ve now joined!!! See you on the flip side! Xx

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/01/2020 12:44

I’ve just sent my request to join.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/01/2020 13:52

I also booked in my midwife appointment today but it’s not until the 12th February. Not sure I can wait that long... She was fully booked up until then though.

mimmi91 · 17/01/2020 15:12

@BeingATwatItsABingThing my first appointment is also on the 12th!! And that's not even for a scan lol, just a "chat" :P

I'll also join the FB group as soon as I can :D

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/01/2020 16:17

Yeah, no scan at mine either @mimmi91. Probably just bloods and booking in. I’ll be 8+6 though.

I’m still on the fence about booking an early scan. I don’t want to go too early and risk worry over nothing but going later and I may as well wait for my 12 week scan...

mimmi91 · 17/01/2020 16:45

@BeingATwatItsABingThing yeah I'll be 8+2 for my appt on the 12th :)

I think I'll end up waiting for the 12w scan as well ; as much as I want to do it early... But zouldn't want to turn up to then hear they can't hear a heartbeat "yet" ...!!

mimmi91 · 17/01/2020 17:27

PS: I've just requested to join the FB group :)

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 17/01/2020 19:13

@mimmi91 yeah, that’s my worry. The ā€˜yet’ would kill me.
