@SunStruck Thanks for the tag! So lovely to see you all here! I couldn't remember the name of the pregnancy thread that you've all moved on to, been thinking about you all often. How is everything going for you girls?
No pregnancy news for me at all. I had a tough few months with TTC towards the end of last year, decided to quit, I might be back on it now but I'm not tracking or temping. This year is like a fresh start for me, I've been healthy and fit (lost 9lbs), got promoted, booked a couple of holidays. I still think at times about what happened especially last month around my due date. But tbh it's quite rare now. I'm also not thinking about TTC, that was really driving me mad!

I also may have landed a very interesting job offer this week...it's still early stages but I think there's a pretty good prospect of me getting it. This would mean long commute for a period of time until we'd sell up and move, so big big changes. But I'm not thinking too far ahead yet, I may not like the guys there or they may not like me, haha! I just have a bit of a feeling that a big change is on the horizon, so perhaps not the best time for pregnancy news right now anyway. Maybe the fact I didn't get pregnant quickly again will turn out to be a blessing, after all.

Lots of love to you all ❤️ Oh, @Avocuddles this is a fabulous group of ladies who have been with me from day one - you'll love it here 😊 xxx

SunStruck · 12/02/2020 05:16

@MrsMGE so good hearing from you, I've been thinking of you and wondering how you are! 🥰

Exciting with the potential new job! 😯 have to keep us updated about that! And well done on your weightloss, that's a good loss! I know you haven't been starving yourself but have been trying a slight lifestyle chance instead so I'm certain you'll lose more and keep the weight off 😄

Hope to see you around more ❤️

@Catconfusion so good seeing you here too! Yes I'm trying to not be too neggy about it, take each day as it comes. New egg, new sperm, new pregnancy and all, chances should be ok right?! Next scan Tuesday! So you're giving birth in April.. so soon 🥰 I hope you're not too uncomfortable now!

@Kiki061190 it's great you're doing well in pregnancy! I'll definitely update you after the scan 😄

MrsMGE · 12/02/2020 08:53

Thanks @SunStruck you're too kind 😘 How are you & the bean doing? Everything going OK? 😘

I might pop in here every now and then for a chat but don't want to hijack the thread as a non-pg one!

Lots of love to all of you xxx

Kiki061190 · 12/02/2020 09:07

@MrsMGE Oh heyyyy! So lovely to hear from you! I’ve been thinking of you loads and wondering how you’ve been getting on. Fabulous news about the potential new job, you are amazing gal! Sounds like you’ve been into your fitness and healthy foods, I also think this helps my mindset when I do this. Taking a break from ttc seems to have been fabulous for you. 💓

@SunStruck Please do! I’m sending so much love your way! 💓

@Catconfusion So I had the midwife yesterday and turns out the baby is head down! That explains the pressure and the need to pee every 2 mins 😂 they don’t need to see me for 4 weeks now as everything is clear so roll on 35 weeks!

Catconfusion · 12/02/2020 09:12

@SunStruck I’ve always admired your optimism and it’s great to see you on here. You’re completely right, it’s different with this one.

My due date is April 12th but I’ve been diagnosed with polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid). Baby is also huge and 5 and a half pounds at 31 weeks. It’s likely he’ll come early so realistically it’ll be end of March. The excess fluid and big baby means massive bump so I’m getting really uncomfortable. Luckily I’m not working so can rest up if I need to.

Definitely keep us posted on how you are. It’s so exciting.

@MrsMGE it’s great to hear from you. Congratulations on your exciting job opportunities. To be honest if I wasn’t 40 I would have had a much bigger break from ttc. It really takes it out of you. It’s great news you’ve been able to focus on your health and career. I’m sure it’ll all work out in the end. I know it doesn’t take away the pain but it’ll happen when the time is right. Please feel free to come and chat! Xx

Catconfusion · 12/02/2020 09:18

Hey @Kiki061190 great news she’s head down. It explains a lot. We saw the midwife yesterday and we’re feeling much better about things. Baby was head down again too. His heart rate was strong but she took a few attempts to record it as it was difficult to hear through the fluid. She’s brought forward the second GD test to Monday so we should be able to rule it out. She thinks just big baby and the fluid is there because he’s peeing more. She’s going to see how I am in a couple of weeks and get me in for a scan if things have changed. She agreed bump is massive and said if she’s honest it looks like twins 😳.

There are slightly raised risks but it seems unlikely something bad will happen. He’s probably having a whale of a time in his own personal swimming pool! xx

Kiki061190 · 12/02/2020 11:18

@Catconfusion You know my midwife got the heartbeat but it was hard to hold it to record because of the position of the baby! Awwww he is probably having a whale of a time in there! It’s crazy how close we are now. As long as they’re not worried is the main thing!

Kiki061190 · 12/02/2020 17:32

Also ladies has anyone started leaking breast milk? Both of mines have started leaking the past two days!

Catconfusion · 12/02/2020 18:15

@kiki061190 I had a wet patch one day but nothing since. The midwife told me to not stimulate the nipples in any way as if the milk comes in it can trigger labour. Are you getting much? I’d call the midwife if you are. The first stuff that comes out is really nutrient rich. At 37 weeks it’s safe to express and freeze it as it’s good for baby. I’d seek some advice on this. xx

sadtoday21 · 12/02/2020 18:44

@Kiki061190 this has never happened to me - no wetness or leaking at all. I think it's common though and @Catconfuson is right about not stimulating it.

@SunStruck I'm so happy for you and wishing you the best of luck as you enter this new phase of your journey! We are here for you 100% of the way if you need to talk about anything.

@Hoping2020 and @avocuddles I'm so sorry for your previous losses and we can all relate to everything you have been through. Pregnancy after loss is so hard. The anxiety never goes away! All I can say is try to take one day at a time and reach out to any of these lovely ladies when you are feeling particularly down. They have all been a lifeline for me in the past year and its good to have support from people who really understand what you are going through. Wishing you both all the best! Xxx

@MrsMGE great to see you on here and congrats on the weight loss and promotion! It sounds like things are going great for you and totally support your decision to take time away from ttc - it's really rough and messes with your mind. I think these things tend to happen when you least expect them!

@Catconfusion did the midwife allay your fears a bit now? Good that you pushed for monitoring sooner and it sounds like they might scan you in two weeks, instead of four? Sorry if I got that wrong. But I agree that most likely everything is fine, just something to keep an eye on which you are doing.

36 week scan tomorrow, getting a bit nervous! Also hospital tour and midwife visit. I really hope baby boy is up from 34% back to something more average. I don't like him being on the small end, even though they didn't seem concerned about it. Now I'm worrying about not getting the group strep b test - they don't do it on the NHS - and I'm really stressed about not having it given the potential consequences. Basically I'm always up half the night worrying about some health issue these days :(. The only good thing is that movement has picked back up in the last few days.

OP posts:
Kiki061190 · 12/02/2020 19:18

@Catconfusion @sadtoday21 No not getting much but have noticed it the past two days. Just seems like they’re wet? Also one had a few drops leak out last night. I’ll keep and eye and put some breast pads in just in case any patches show up! I wasn’t sure if it was normal or not.

@sadtoday21 Hope everything goes well with your scan. You are SO close to the end. Baby can come anywhere from week 37 as my midwife kept reminding me yesterday. You’ve had so much anxiety this pregnancy, I hope you can manage to get a few weeks of bliss and just enjoy pregnancy 💓

Catconfusion · 12/02/2020 20:01

@kiki061190 I think it can be normal for some women. If you feels like it’s properly coming out I’d call the midwife. xx

bananamonkey · 13/02/2020 10:15

Hi @MrsMGE! Congratulations on your job offer and well done on the weight loss, lovely to hear you on getting on well x x

Congratulations @SunStruck, I know it's early days and totally get the anxiety, hope you can take it one day at a time but I'm so pleased for you, hope the next scan goes well x x

Welcome @Hoping2020 and @avocuddles, so sorry about your losses. I know it's an anxious time but these ladies are great support if you want to chat x x

Good luck for your scan today @sadtoday21! x

That's so great that the MW could give you some reassurance @Catconfusion

@Kiki061190 I haven't ever experienced this but I know some women who have and started harvesting colostrum from about 37 weeks, not sure it's necessary but might as well save it!

I spent yesterday afternoon at the hospital as I've been worrying about reduced moments and hadn't felt anything but since early the evening before. They were really nice and everything seems fine but I'm still feeling a bit stressed about it as I don't think she's quite as active as she was, also was a bit disconcerting as being in the hospital brought back memories from the ERPC which was exactly 1 year ago to the day. The woman next to me was being booked in for her induction for her 6th Shock child though which was a good distraction! I also had a funny turn on Friday and fainted, had to throw up at a children's activity centre with a 3 year old in tow which was interesting and a little scary as I was on my own and there weren't many people around.

I'm also feeling pretty breathless in the mornings, the stairs and the nursery run are taking it out of me! And feeling a bit of plantar fasciitis which is a bit crap. Hoping to feel baby a bit more today.

MrsMGE · 14/02/2020 09:07

@Catconfusion @Kiki061190 @bananamonkey Thank you girls! 💞 So lovely to see you all here and how exciting you haven't got long left now! I'm delighted for you all & hope you're keeping well. It's mad how you're nearly there already 🥰 Happy Valentines day! Xxx

MrsMGE · 14/02/2020 09:09

And @sadtoday21🥰 sorry only now saw your post, didn't have the notification! You must be getting really close to the finish line now, lovely? Xxx

Kiki061190 · 14/02/2020 09:44

@bananamonkey Omg! I’m so sorry you had to go in for monitoring. I’ve been worried baby girl is moving less than normal too, she’s still moving but it’s seems less than what she usually does if that makes sense? I’m glad all was ok. Is there any way you could get a week or sick line? Something to allow you a bit of a break. I completely understand feeling out of breath, I feel like I can’t get comfortable either just now no matter what way I sit or lie.

@sadtoday21 How did the scan go? How has baby boys growth came along?

@MrsMGE Happy Valentines!!! 💓💓💓

sadtoday21 · 15/02/2020 17:55

@bananamonkey really sorry to hear about the reduced movement episode, especially since it was on the day of your ERPC. The same happened to me, I just couldn’t get my mind to relax that day. Hope it has picked up again now!

Thanks for asking after me @Kiki061190! How are you doing? 37 week scan went ok, but he’s now on 25% and weighing only 5lbs 9 ounces. Had antenatal class and for some reason another consultant appointment next week.

OP posts:
sadtoday21 · 15/02/2020 18:23

*sorry meant to say 36 week scan! Typing too fast and hit post too soon. So I’m still kind of worried he is small and also wondering why they’ve booked me in for consultant, but I hope it’s just routine. The antenatal class was somewhat useful and it was interesting to see the labour ward! I’m rethinking the sweep now and might just try to see if things kickstart naturally. Having a hard time doing perinieum massage and not really keen on the idea of a sweep either if I’m honest. I just feel very closed off and tight down there! Hard to imagine how labour is going to work...but really hope I don’t go overdue and can get it going naturally.

How’s everyone else doing?

OP posts:
Kiki061190 · 15/02/2020 22:11

Oh @sadtoday21 I’m so sorry his growth has dropped and is causing you anxiety. Hopefully the consultant will give you more clarity. I’m sure if there was an issue they would have kept you in but we naturally worry though! I had a surprise baby shower today. I was so shocked I couldn’t believe it. Baby girl has been incredibly spoiled! 💕 I hear ya on going overdue. I am feeling large and uncomfortable!

bananamonkey · 17/02/2020 09:59

Thanks Ladies, yes thankfully she's been more active since then, I had a diet coke the next day and she was going crazy! Then I felt guilty but was reassuring to feel her moving around again.

Sorry you're still a little worried @sadtoday21, were you a small baby? Although if you think about them putting on half a pound a week at this stage that doesn't seem small by the time you get to 40 weeks? DD was on the 27th at birth almost full term and she wasn't small, (6 lbs 1) just not a chubby baby.

That's so lovely about your baby shower @Kiki061190, hope you had a lovely time Smile

I'm not keen on the idea of a sweep either, I think the statistics are not actually that great in terms of their effectiveness, I'm hoping for a slightly early arrival again. Will get my ball out and do some bouncing instead.

bananamonkey · 17/02/2020 10:00

6 lbs 13 even

Kiki061190 · 17/02/2020 18:28

@bananamonkey @sadtoday21 oh I would love to go early! 38 weeks would be the dream. I’m feeling so uncomfortable just now and can imagine it’s only going to get worse. Baby seems comfortable though so more than likely I’ll go way over 🤣 the thought of another 5 and a bit weeks at work is killing me!

Catconfusion · 18/02/2020 07:54

Hey everyone, we’ve been away for a couple of days to Suffolk for our baby moon so sorry for the absence.

@bananamonkey I’m so sorry to hear you were so ill and then had reduced movements too. So pleased baby is ok and more active now.

@sadtoday21 glad baby looks healthy on the scan but I can appreciate you’re worried about the drop in growth. There is still time for him to get bigger and 6/7 pounds is a healthy birth weight. I’m sure he’ll be just fine. Not too long to go for you now!

@Kiki061190 I hear you on the uncomfortable front. I’m barely able to walk now. I had physio yesterday and they are talking about crutches for me in a couple of weeks time if my mobility gets worse. It’s not ideal but would rather that than no walking at all.

As for me, bump is huge and tight so a little worried the excess fluid has got worse. I had my second GTT yesterday and saw the midwife. She reassured us and said bump looks consistent with a 36 week pregnancy (even though 32 weeks) as baby is likely over 6 pounds at this point. Also the excess fluid is not helping. We start our birthing classes next week so I’m looking forward to learning more as we still haven’t decided on delivery. The physio gave me some feasible positions such as on all fours with my bum in the air and against the wall with an exercise ball. She’s written some notes to my consultant about my poor hip and that my legs must not be forcibly parted. I guess I’m waiting on the scan results. If his growth has accelerated more and the fluid issue has got worse I’d be leaning towards c section. Xx

@Amanda81 how are you getting on? Hopefully you’re feeling more recovered and your routine is working well for you! xx

Kiki061190 · 18/02/2020 10:23

@Catconfusion amazing you had a baby moon! We had a night away Sunday night which was lovely. Definitely the last before 👶🏻 crutches isn’t ideal but hopefully they help you. I just feel like I can’t get comfortable, I’m short of breath and can’t walk very far without feeling pressure. It definitely seems like you might be a March baby!!! Sounds like he’s getting all ready to come. Hopefully they don’t keep you far over 37 weeks as you might end up on bed rest!!!

Catconfusion · 18/02/2020 11:34

@Kiki061190 it’s so nice isn’t it to be away. It’s definitely helped my state of mind. Similarly I’m really breathless and lots of pressure low down. I think I was just a bit naive about how difficult the third trimester is. My friends are doing a baby shower on Saturday then I’m planning to rest up and just do some light exercise if I can. I’m not going to drive anywhere or arrange anything. Like you say the pressure is really uncomfortable and I’m really worried my waters will break suddenly, especially with the excess fluid. Hopefully we’ll both have end of March babies! Xx
