Ok. So just realised our thread had been moved and closed so I hope you all find your way back to this one!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Dec19baby · 27/12/2019 12:48

I've been off since 26th Nov as well, so I'm going stir crazy. I also cannot stop eating anything sweet at night. I have a big sweet tooth anyway, but it's been exaggerated these last few weeks!
Been going for walks as well, but it's awful weather here as well. Think we're gonna go out to shops soon, literally just to get out of house and stop focusing on my bump 🙈

lazybutton · 27/12/2019 12:56

I need to check the dates on the goodies that I packed in my hospital bag - about 2 months ago 😆

Comps83 · 27/12/2019 14:36

Things are getting increasingly tense between us too. Both of us ready to snap

OP posts:
PinkSpring · 27/12/2019 14:46

DP keeps asking me what is taking so long........ yes because I am deliberately not giving birth for the fun of it Angry

Xiaohei · 27/12/2019 18:00

Went for sweep no.4 today, and another scan and another ctg- all fine. Was told all moving in the right direction, which you’d kind of hope for at 41+5Wink

Dec19baby · 27/12/2019 19:13

Glad to hear it @Xiaohei!
Do you think multiple sweeps are necessary? If things aren't progressing? I'm 40+5 today, still haven't had a sweep. Due a midwife appointment on Monday which I'm hoping I don't get to attend!! 😂
Are you getting any pressure to induce?

Xiaohei · 27/12/2019 20:22

Nope! Smile I have literally no faith in a sweep at all! And I was adamant I’d not do them this time! However, they have been able to tell me each time that things are changing ( which FYI they couldn’t with DS2 and that was v disheartening) which I’ve found really reassuring.
Lol- am I getting any ‘pressure’ to induce? Yeah only from about week 38! I have some really stupid pregnancy risk stats which make me a candidate in the medical world for induction. But I’ve been down that pathway with DS1 and there isn’t a snowball in Hells chance I’d even considered it unless there was an issue with the baby/ placenta etc before 42 weeks. Am currently booked in for induction at 42+1 but I reckon I won’t get there

bespokepaininthearse · 27/12/2019 20:22

So what snacks has everyone got in there hospital bags? When I was in labour with my first I couldn't eat anything at all, the only thing I managed was some dried cranberries 😅

My due date is tomorrow and have my sweep booked first thing so am hoping baby is in a good enough position to get things moving! I am sure my midwife told me I could only have 2 which is annoying as other people on here seem to be offered more help a lot sooner which I would much prefer!

Comps83 · 27/12/2019 21:17

Well I’ve got no ‘healthy’ snacks
Mainly chocolate. And a bottle of lucozade

Comps83 · 27/12/2019 21:42

Just got a msg from someone I barely speak to anymore asking me for news. Seriously pissed off with it. Whenever I’ve had friends who are due I just leave them alone knowing that they will let me know . It’s plain bloody rude . Just like the ppl who constantly ask if we’ve got a name yet!

OP posts:
Dec19baby · 27/12/2019 22:20

I haven't got healthy snacks either! Sweets, chocolate, cereal bars, I suppose the babybel I'll bring is healthy Grin😂😂 I'd rather be prepared with loads than go in with nothing!

Yeh I've got asked by a friend have I got my induction date booked, to just focus on that- like it's literally a given thing just coz I'm "over". Hate how healthcare has made people so matter of fact about medical intervention for no real reason Sad

We haven't told anyone our name shortlist. Even when people asked, I tell them I'm not telling anyone. I've found once you become pregnant, it seems you're just open to anything and everything from people, even if you weren't overly friendly with them in the first place.

PinkSpring · 28/12/2019 09:50

Now 40+6, had three sweeps and NOTHING.....

He clearly doesn't want to come out. I am booked for a planned home birth so if he doesn't make his appearance soon they are going to start pushing for a hospital induction Angry

Comps83 · 28/12/2019 09:54

I’m really fed up and so upset that it looks like I’m going to end up being induced
I feel fine in myself . Like I’m not suffering but I really wanted this to be as natural as possible

OP posts:
Dec19baby · 28/12/2019 10:26

How far over are you @Comps83?

I've been having period pains/cramps all morning. But it's sometimes hard to differentiate between them and my pelvic girdle pain, coz it's flaring up. I'm just hoping they ramp up today into something more regular.

Comps83 · 28/12/2019 10:28

I’m 40+4
Induction at 40+7

OP posts:
Comps83 · 28/12/2019 17:08

I’ve decided to ignore any further messages for updates
I’ve been in quite a good mood all day and just received yet another which put me into an instant rage . I’m sure I’m being unreasonable but at this point I don’t give a shit

OP posts:
Dec19baby · 28/12/2019 17:40

I don't think you're alone. I have ignored the questions asking about labour starting or when baby is coming, and just answered or replied to the other questions asked. They'll get the picture.
I'm 41 weeks tomorrow. Genuinely thought I might have been in early labour this morning, now it's just turned into PGP that's agony at times.
I keep crying every time I hear of a baby being born (from the multiple forum threads and other people I know). Jealously at it's worst!

Comps83 · 28/12/2019 17:47

I know what you mean
It’s the same ppl asking everyday who are the ones who are really getting on my wick . I’m answering with one word, no , and nothing else . Pretty sure I’ve always known not to harass ppl at this point. You’d think the ppl who have had babies would know to leave it alone . Problem is by ignoring them they will probably think I’m in hospital

OP posts:
Marleym28 · 28/12/2019 22:12

I'd just reply honestly and just say
'no. I'll let you know once it's happened. Not being rude but at the moment I'm just inundated with everyone asking and it's making me feel overwhelmed '

They'll soon stop/slow down lol x

Xiaohei · 29/12/2019 05:26

I thought I was on a roll today- lots of contractions which were getting increasingly painful. When to bed convinced this was it- 4am woke up and felt nothing. Then brain started worrying about induction on Monday....arrgghhh. I’m going to go mad before I have this baby.

Comps83 · 29/12/2019 10:28

@Xiaohei
I’ve had nothing. Nothing at all . Nothing resembling contractions. No plug or anything coming out . Naff all. If I get the slightest twinge or pain it turns out to be a fart Grin
I’ve just had to tell dh off for asking if baby is coming as that’s also starting doing my head in

OP posts:
Xiaohei · 29/12/2019 16:08

Went for final monitoring visit today and opted into a sweep- and my waters broke as a result ( a cautionary tale indeed) so now I’m definitely on a 24 hr count down.....

Funnybunnyfluff · 29/12/2019 16:15

Wishing you all healthy babies to come 😁 xx

Comps83 · 29/12/2019 16:19

Oh well that sounds promising!
I’ve just been for a long walk . I’ve tried everything now
Just finally snapped with the messages too
