Any of you wonderful first time mamas due March 2020? Would be lovely to chat to you all! I'm thinking of potentially setting up a Whatsapp group if anyone would be interested? It seems that some threads die off pretty quickly on here and what with peoples sometimes busy lifestyles remembering to post on here can go on the back burner! I'm based in East Riding of Yorkshire, would be lovely to have other ladies to chat to about our pregnancies! Smile X

@HighOnStilts Hi I am due March 19th, there is actually a pretty active March Bus thread with lots of ladies who are due in March. Have a look for it x

Yvonne1988 · 11/10/2019 11:28

I'm due 20th march. Also on the march thread :)

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 11:34

@MockingJay27 Hi lovely, I am actually on there already but it seems fairly quiet at the moment! X

Hi @HighOnStilts! I'm on the March thread too - due 12 March. How about you?

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 12:30

@sadtoday21 Hey!! I'm due 22nd March. Still doesn't seem quite real. Are you showing yet? I'm not, just look a bit bloated. Sad Have you felt any movements yet? X

@highonstilts just saw the bit about the WhatsApp group. I'd join.

Ginandgingers92 · 11/10/2019 12:36

Hi! Due March 17th, would love to have a group of women to chat to along the journey! :)

Ginandgingers92 · 11/10/2019 12:36

Ah sorry, not a first time mum, this is number 2, but still have the anxiety as if it were number 1!

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 12:39

@Yvonne1988 If I get some more people interested I'll set one up and get your numbers! It'd be nice to chat daily and give each other some moral support! It's a scary/worrying time when it's your first! X

Yvonne1988 · 11/10/2019 12:43

Oh I'm not first time either! Oops lol but there is a 9 year difference so it's like doing it again

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 12:45

You second time mamas are more than welcome on here!!! 💖

@HighOnStilts its my first too! Have had an anxious time after previous loss, but trying to stay more positive now at 18+1 weeks. Our due dates are so close! It's great to talk to other ladies who are at the same stage. I'm having a baby boy.

I haven't felt any movements yet - unfortunately! I really really want to feel him. I was told at the 16 week scan that I have an anterior placenta, so may be a while still. Just hoping I feel something before my anatomy scan in 10 days! A bit nervous for the scan. I do have a bump though, but a small one and not enough for strangers to comment yet. Just enough that my jeans feel uncomfortable and the hair bobble trick isn't quite cutting it anymore. How about you? Do you have a bump? Have you felt any movement yet? Xxx

Yvonne1988 · 11/10/2019 13:11

Iv been showing for ages now. Felt movements for nearly 3 weeks. Yesterday was the most iv ever felt. 17 weeks today and 3 weeks today til my next scan.

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 13:30

@sadtoday21 Sounds like you're little baba is sticking around for good this time! 💖 I have many relatives who've had MC and I can't even begin to fathom what you must have gone through. I was making myself ill with worry during my first 12 weeks. I know if anything had happened it would have destroyed me, so stay strong!

We've had a 'nub theory' prediction done and it came back a girl, much to my OH's delight as he really wants a girl first! Lots of girls on my side and his so wouldn't suprise me if it's correct. We've got our 20 week scan to confirm on the 5th of November - I can't wait!!

I have a little bump very low down, but to me I just look bloated 😂 OH reckons he's seen a change but he's just eager for me to have a big bump he can cuddle lol. I think I felt some flutters the other evening but then again I was windy so... 😆 xxx

@Yvonne1988 Oh that's amazing!!! What do the movements feel like? I know everyone has a different way of explaining it but I'm so eager to feel something myself!!

Yvonne1988 · 11/10/2019 13:41

@highonstilts it really just feels like a tiny poke from the inside lol
I know some people can't tell between that and gas but I can feel where my uterus is growing so I know where the movement is and anything else has sort of moved up.

Ginandgingers92 · 11/10/2019 13:43

@HighOnStilts I'm 17+3. It's been a ride! Was in hospital on a drip last week for a few days due to hyperemesis, which came to a wonderful crescendo when they couldn't hear the heartbeat on a Doppler... but scan showed all ok. I'm still worrying though! 20 week scan isn't until 1st Nov 😫😫
I've got a bump, but no movements as yet, I think last time around i started feeling them around 20+ weeks. It's such a lovely feeling. :)

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 13:44

@Yvonne1988 I've been trying to feel for my uterus but honestly, not really sure what or where I should be feeling for it. I do feel a little firmer just above my pubic bone but it only feels like that in a morning or when I've had food!

MockingJay27 · 11/10/2019 13:45

No movement for me yet at 17+1 but I also have anterior placenta and 1st baby. I've spoken to a few friends who had anterior an all said they didn't feel movement until 24/25 weeks but hoping I'll feel something sooner than that x

Ginandgingers92 · 11/10/2019 13:47

I always liked this in terms of where bump/baby is :)

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 13:51

@MockingJay27 Did the midwife or sonographer pick up on anterior placenta? I haven't been told I have one so assuming I don't? X

MsInconspicuous · 11/10/2019 14:00

Not my 1st baby (2nd) but may as well be given that my eldest will be a couple of weeks shy of 13!! Due date is 11th of March- living in Essex!

sadtoday21 · 11/10/2019 14:07

@Ginandgingers92 this is a great graphic - thanks for sharing! I guess baby is just about an inch or so under my belly button then at 18+1.

Thanks @HighOnStilts it has been a rough ride and I think the anxiety never really goes away! I cried when I saw the baby at the 16 week scan, it was just such a relief to know he was still there. As for anterior placenta, they didn't pick it up until the 16 week scan (not at the 12 week), so you may have one and not know it yet. It also moves around a bit (I think).

@MockingJay27 we both have anterior placentas and first baby due around the same time, just a week apart! I'm relieved to hear that your friends in a similar situation said 24/25 weeks, but also really want to feel something sooner! Have you had any flutterings? I'm not sure I've even had that tbh, but its hard to tell.

Anyone have any tips for how to feel movement sooner with first baby?

HighOnStilts · 11/10/2019 14:07

@MsInconspicuous Wow you aren't messing around girl! How are you feeling? X
