I am a little nervous about starting this thread as I was previously on the March 2008 thread but m/c'd. But I got my bfp this morning and although still faint it is clearly there.

Anyone else coming to nervously join me?

I keep thinking that the tiredness must be a good sign, as that's the only symptom I have consistently.
Am fretting today - DP was up in the night worrying about how we will afford a baby and we nearly had a row this morning about it. I really want to give up work for a year to spend time with it, as we only get 4 months maternity leave here and I can't bear the idea of putting a 4 month old in full time child care, especially after losing my first one. But I earn more than DP and will be a real struggle. I am going to save and save for the next few months, and I was thinking I could do some childminding for extra cash once have the baby. It will be OK won't it?

Oh god so sorry about that my computer went all funny and I couldn't get it to stop posting the same thing over and over!

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:29

@ all your posts!

Money wise-save everything you can! we are! you will get CB when baby born, thats nearly £70 p/m for first dc. it helps tons!

IKWYM about leaving small bay-i would not like to either

studentmum1 · 16/08/2007 13:30

omg nearly 65!! he he

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:31

Sorry very embarrased

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:33

Ellie-try not to argue with DP about money-there is no point really, baby coming, you will manage!

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:34

I will try. Am going to the bank tomorrow to get my standing order increased to my savings account in a very organised manner.

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:38

Men often worry too much about the things like money; when actually it is fine. Saving v. good.

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:41

OK, I will stop fretting. Posting 65 times was a good way of getting people's attention wasn't it? It's all about meeeeeeeeeee

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:42

When DP talks about stuff to do with him alot, i sing

'its all about you, its all about you baby'

like McFly do.

I am mean!

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:44

Hee hee I think I might try that! I had a strop and said 'Oh I'm so unhappy you don't really want this baby waaaaa' or words to that effect. Very mature and not at all hormonal.

modsaluk · 16/08/2007 13:45

Received my letter from th hospital today, my scan date is 20th September it seems ages away, just want confirmation everything is ok. Also my first appointment with my midwife is 4th October this seems to be too far away too i will be 14 weeks by then is this right? You would think this is my first child but can not remember anything apart from been sick first time round.

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:45

I've asked my dP so many times when ttc and now pg about 'do you want this baby' and everytime he says yes; he rings me up to say how happy he is-but i still dont believe him! im right moody lately and a shouty mummy

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:46

Modsa-sounds about right, although maybe a MW check before scan may be better?

my appt is next week, dont know about scan yet.

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:49

I am too. DP asked if everything was alright last night because I was being 'a little bit snappy' e.g a right cow to all and sundry including DSD and he has now taken to calling me his 'little crocodile'

scorpio1 · 16/08/2007 13:50

@ my little crocodile!

Kirbo · 16/08/2007 13:52

Just stumbled accross this site - glad to find loads of other mums to be - don't feel like the only one in the same boat! BF and I haven't told anyone yet, waiting for the first scan before we get them all excited - anyone else the same?

EllieG · 16/08/2007 13:56

Yep - though I keep telling people anyway and dropping large hints so they guess!
Welcome kirbo and congratulations on your news x
