Had a wonderful night out in Town with DH and our 2 besties but blimey I haven't been able to sleep properly since, been waking up every hour with Braxton hicks. Not painful just bloody uncomfortable and they last for a good couple minutes each time. Think I over done it again.

excitednerves · 09/06/2019 07:58

Leg cramps and heartburn in full force here too! Leg cramps less frequently (prob diet related after reading this post) but heartburn at least once a day every single day. Honestly feel like I’m keeping Rennie in profit single handedly! Ha ha!

Bought our cot last night (Ikea) and now feeling ready for baby! 12 weeks and a couple of days to go!

NotwhereIshouldbe · 09/06/2019 09:22

If anyone is interested and has the Bounty app there’s a discount code on there for the Cosatto Giggle 2 travel system where you can buy it for £339 instead of £700!

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/06/2019 09:48

Some places have the giggle2 for less than that! And they are releasing a giggle3 plus a 4 wheeled "quad" version so i suspect giggle2 prices will drop even more in the next few weeks!

IVEgottheDECAF · 09/06/2019 09:53

I am currently stalking cosatto to see if the price on the wow drops any more!

Lowest prices seem to be on TrendyBaby and Online4Baby

I tried the turning under thing last night. I'm very glad DH was still downstairs and not there to witness the indignity! It was not a pretty sight. And then when I'd finally rolled I realised I'd managed to trap the duvet under myself and had to roll back to free it.

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 10:24

I don't understand the turning under thing.
If I'm facing outwards on my right side and want to turn onto my left side, surely I'd fall out of bed if I roll more to the right to go face down?

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 10:25

@excitednerveswhat Ikea cot did you go for?

I'm still unsure what to get!

kyles101 · 09/06/2019 11:25

Yay - just got the changing bag I wanted for half price!

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 12:20

I've just noticed another thing! I have cherry angiomas appearing everywhere. Argh

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 12:22

Oh I'm not getting a changing bag. I have loads of rucksack I can use.

kyles101 · 09/06/2019 12:45

We have one rucksack, but it's very manly, we use if for carry on, or days out for do to carry, and it's kind of always semi packed for that sort of thing. I did get a "changing" rucksack too so dog would feel more comfortable carrying and for with the sling, it's very unisex. And has lots of what I'm assuming will be useful pockets. The one I've just got is full on proper mummy changing bag lol!! Although to be fair do isn't precious and would carry it if required.

Oh it's cute :)

kyles101 · 09/06/2019 12:46

Replace do and dog with dh - stupid autocorrect - sat in the sunshine too so can't see properly!!

kyles101 · 09/06/2019 12:47

Seriously mummy though!?
What are cherry angiomas?

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 12:50

Hehe yes seriously mummy!

There are like tiny moles but are red because they're made up of blood vessels. They're not big at all but I hate them!

Megan2018 · 09/06/2019 13:23

@Whisky2014
I’m looking at this one
www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/childrens-ikea-products/baby/cots/fritids-stuva-cot-with-drawers-white-spr-09276848/

With some of the other furniture to match. I definitely want a cot bed and something with drawers for storage.

But I do keep changing my mind. No rush though, baby won’t be in it for at least 9 months from now.

Whisky2014 · 09/06/2019 13:49

@Megan2018 yeh I like that one too. Are you using a next to me crib initially?
Our plan is to use the cot bed from day 1

Megan2018 · 09/06/2019 14:07

Yes @Whisky2014
We have a really cheap Tutti Bambini Cozee crib (Second hand) for first 6 months. Cotbed wouldn’t fit next to bed (although would fit in bedroom) and I don’t want to get up and down.

kyles101 · 09/06/2019 14:29

We have that cot and some matching bits - we were really impressed with the quality, not too bad a job to put together either. The toy chest is really good value, I'm going to make a seat cushion to go on top.

KnobJockey · 09/06/2019 14:32

Those who have got the next 2 me, I have found for your little one website online that stocks compatible sheets- Ive just ordered 4 white with grey stars for £10, waiting for them to be delivered.

BBell2 · 09/06/2019 16:27

We really dont need a new cot and will resist but we did an IKEA shop last night and they have a grey cot bed with drawers underneath. Really lovely! Makes me wonder if I can loose the bits off our second hand mama and papa 60x120 cot and have this baby in one a lot longer that DD stopped in hers!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 09/06/2019 18:00

Thought you ladies would appreciate this article. One to show the other half 🤣

TwittleBee · 09/06/2019 19:36

Should send that to all my former bosses BridgetJonesDaiquiri !

easterbuns1 · 09/06/2019 20:17

I had a pink lining bag for the older two, they are really good quality and have got plenty of room even for two in cloth.

Got a dispatch email for the cot so that arrives Tuesday. I think I will have to put it straight up in our room as not got room for the box anywhere and think I'd rather have the cot out for an extra 12 weeks than the boxes. Bloody sick of boxes.
