The baby in it was less than a year old so i assume so?

I think because i have had cosattos for my last couple of prams i am really used to light weight. And i am small. And weak. Lol.

Megan2018 · 07/06/2019 09:58

I suppose it depends on the comparison. I had it lined up next to Pioneer, Mixx and Joie and they were all pretty similar in size unfolded. Where they differed was fold and weight.
The weight I’ve decided matters most to me as boot is high so will be lifting in and out a lot.

boodles101 · 07/06/2019 10:11

With those of you have bumps measured and worrying about growth - I haven't had anything since my 20 week scan and next scan isn't for another 2 weeks! So I've no idea how the twins are doing! I know I'm getting huge and I can certainly feel them all over, it's weird to see a definite divide between them too! I really wish I'd had a 24 Week scan. DH says I can book a private one if I want but I'm not sure I can justify the cost when it's only 2 weeks to wait?!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/06/2019 11:03

boodles i am surprised there isnt more monitoring for twins!

boodles101 · 07/06/2019 11:45

decaf me too. They told me i'd be monitored constantly but don't actually seem to be bothered until 28 weeks. I have 2 placentas so maybe that's why, it's less high risk than just having 1.

db92 · 07/06/2019 11:45

I'm currently measuring 5 weeks ahead and have decided to take no notice at all until my consultant or MW say otherwise. From what I've been told fundal height measurements are really quite unreliable

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/06/2019 11:50

I would not be surprised if i am measuring a few weeks over

According to nhs site if not first baby then appointments are 28 weeks then 34!

Megan2018 · 07/06/2019 11:51

Day off today as doing 4 day weeks instead of 5 - bored!!
Waiting in for washing machine service, have ton of laundry I could do otherwise (inc baby things!), also have a load of errands in town but can’t go out. And the chickens need cleaning out but it is pissing it down. It was ok to start with but now I am bored and lonely! I usually love a day off Confused

happydays00 · 07/06/2019 13:35

God @Megan2018 I would love a child free day off every week - make the most of the freedom and time to relax!

Megan2018 · 07/06/2019 13:53

I love a day off normally too @happydays00
But not when stuck in unable to do much waiting for someone to turn up. A day in my PJ’s would have been fine, but this has been boring as just been sat around waiting.
He arrived at 1, looks like it will take a while! DH home at 3 so at least I can go out after that.
Off on Monday too with no plans so that can be a good day!

kyles101 · 07/06/2019 17:10

4 interviews today, 2 were excellent and the other 2 were ok too to be fair. Such a relief, anxiety was definitely starting to kick in about that. Oooh I think I'm soon going to have a leave date to count down to too!!

Stroan · 07/06/2019 21:49

I agree on the measuring, I dread to think what I currently measure as, even though they think baby is exactly average. The fundal method doesn't count for your natural body shape, amongst other shortcomings.

Interested to hear the tip to roll under @ivegotthedecaf rolling over is now almost impossible. Can I ask where your pain is? I'm getting really bad hip pain, it's definitely on the outside so I was hoping it wasn't SPD but the midwife has recommended physio anyway? DD fell asleep in between my legs today (that's as awkward as it sounds by the way!) and I was in complete agony for hours afterwards.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 07/06/2019 22:10

I’d also like to know how to turn under - can’t move in bed now without agony. Had first physio today and got a bum strapped with bright pink sports tape!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/06/2019 22:17

Turning under -

So your say on your left side and want to get to your right. Instead of turning facing upwards, you need to face down into your bed!

Not really sure why it hurts less but it does

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/06/2019 22:21

stroan my pain is in so many places, lower back, pubic bone, across both bum cheeks (knicker line), inside of thighs. When i lie down the pain is pubic bone and which ever hip i lie on. I wake up hourly at best and need to switch sides. There is literally no position i can lie in that does not hurt!

Stroan · 07/06/2019 22:35

@ivegotthedecaff I'm definitely not that bad. It's just the outside of my hips really. I sometimes struggle to open my legs if I've been lying too long!

Have you had it in all your pregnancies? The midwife said that my. body can remember delivering a big baby and is preparing for it by softening up. Well, it can just stop that nonsense. This one is coming out a different exit!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/06/2019 22:40

Didnt have it with my first. But was pregnant with second my time first was 7 months and i reckon thats what did it! Had it with each one but worse each bloody time. Apparently this doesnt always happen. Some women have it once then not again

TwittleBee · 08/06/2019 05:24

I can confirm that SPD doesn't appear to always reoccur in subsequent pregnancies. I appear to be getting away with not having it this time ( touches wood )

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/06/2019 08:08

Twittle you lucky thing!

I slept a bit better with new pregnancy pillow. However i have just been sick Sad If its not one thing its another!

boodles101 · 08/06/2019 10:18

I got hit with the dreaded leg cramps last night! Wow they really hurt! Off to buy bananas.

kyles101 · 08/06/2019 10:46

Oooh banana milkshake 🤤

kyles101 · 08/06/2019 13:26

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. Hopefully i'll measure bigger at NY next appointment!

Has anyone had or considered using a water pool?
Visited the midwife led unit last week and hadn't really thought about it before but kind of like the idea! Maybe not for the actual birth even but for the labour part perhaps.

Whisky2014 · 08/06/2019 17:17

boodles101 is leg cramps a thing?!
Omg I was.coming on to say I had horrendous cramp in my left leg last night. I was crying out in pain and husband woke up all confused. I told him a had cramp and he took hold of my foot to stretch my leg out. I screamed "DONT TOUCH IT" it was so horrific. I've really never had cramp before, maybe once, but that pain was unbearable. God knows what I'll be like in labour!

Also, we had our nice meal out with friends on Whitby 2 nights ago. We all got dressed up and I wore wedges because my mum told me they'd be much better than heels, more supportive etc. Well, through the night my back was in agony and then all through the day walking around Whitby, well I could barely walk. I've thrown my back out :(
My left leg which is the one I had cramp in, is still aching. I know if I tense it a little the cramp will come on again.
What a time I've had of it. Just drove 5.5hours home and I'm knackered! Ready for bed right now!

Hsunshine · 08/06/2019 17:35

@whisky2014 I’ve had leg cramps every night this week. For me, when it starts if I rub it, it stops quicker and doesn’t hurt as much the next day
