yes babylovesmuffins we are sisters - so all bets are on to see who will arrive first. purplerabbit has a ds already, so our mum is set to come down and look after him whenever she goes in. would be nice if we could be at least a few days apart so we can visit each others newborns, but will just have to wait and see what happens. will be nice for them to be very close in age - but i kind of hope its one boy and one girl cause then there wont be any competition (however unintentional) about when they do things etc.

Like the tankini BLM and TT, I bought the turquoise coloured one from there when I went on holiday in May - wore it every day whilst I was on hols, but haven't since .However, if I start ML early will be able to attend aqua natal classes as they are all held during the day round here and had been wanting to go - sure I'll find other things I want to do. Feeling less tearful now so will go see the boss after lunch about finishing earlier.

Have a nice time in Cornwall Sweety, can't believe you don't know who Carol V is!!

ok. Now I am really really pissed off with Ebay.

My lovely lot of 50 (%)!!!!) lovely baby clothes went for £5.

I contacted them this week and said i didn't think it was coming up in a search, and they replied to say it was. I thought it was hard to find, and didn't come up in the usual areas, but who am I? Clearly some idiot who has jsut been FLEECED. .

I've spent 1hr in sainsbury's in agony - an I'm fed up with being asked if i want help loading my bags. NO I BLOODY DON'T - I WANT HELP GETTING THE SODDING SHOPPING ONTO THE CONVEYOR BELT.!!

and I come home to find that on ebay.....grrrrrrrrrrr

growing how awful for you re the ebay. Why did you not set a starting bid that would not make you cry? I suspect that people who get good prices for things on ebay have good friends bidding who are relatively untraceable. I never get more than a couple of bids on things. Might be the time of year?

Hi everyone else. Good to see everyone well. Only lurking today as nothing really to say, and feeling quite placid about life really - for someone buying a flat a few weeks before giving birth I am remarkably calm. Really I must have the best cocktail of pregnancy hormones yet. Cannot wait to go on hols next week.

sorry about the spelling - eating my lunch

kite... no, I didn't set a reserve - partly because EVERY other lot of clothing I have ever watched, or bought has gone for at least £20! I think you are right about the ghost bidding. I sat and sobbed for 15 minutes, then ate a cream cake and felt better.

I think I'll stick to the local papers. more reliable and less fuss with postage.

pink - TT was muttering about going shopping at bluewater and did anyone want to do it for her, and I suggested a RL meet up - if only for a giggle at the size of us!!

It looks as though we are going for the 18th (sound right ladies). Tt, MrsS, GillL..anyone else.. well me obviously!

I think we'd have to met somewhere with either loos or coffee or pref both.. we could all wear carnations... or do you think the bumps will be obvous enough?

Are you all going to be "child free" for the meet up? maybe of load ds with Auntie

Report
growingbagpuss · 11/07/2007 13:18

I think child free - my DS (sorry, Icalled your DS a girl earlier!) should be at nursery (providing no sudden illnesses!) - after my experience today I'll either be walking v little, or pushing a pram and small DD!!

Let's be honest, we're all in the same boat aren't we so there's no way we'll be trudging round and around anywhere! We're going to find GillL a dress for a wedding on 2nd Aug (?) and then probably just get whatever bits and pieces we all need and have lunch/coffee.....cream cakes....etc.
So, when would suit best ?

omg...I slept in.

Only woke up once for a wee at 6am, then slept til 1pm, how naughty is that? lol Feel quite refreshed though, must have needed it.

Feeling distinctly un-nesty today, think I might just have some lunch (breakfast??) and a bath. Lazy day.

Wow!! RL meet-up going ahead then!! I think you'll all spot each other quite easily. Won't it be strange using each others RL names rather than your MN names!!

Conker I know what you mean about the rivalry between the cousins. My SIL (DH's brother's partner) is due in August - 3 weeks before me. First babies for both of us and first grandchildren!! We're hoping that one will be a boy and the other a girl because if they're both boys there'll be a lot of rivalry (not between the LO's but between DH and his brother )

At least it's cooler (so far) this year. I was envisioning it being as hot as two summers ago and wondered how on earth we'd cope!

Report
Babylovesmuffins · 11/07/2007 14:14

Banana, I'm very of your long lie-in!! Glad to hear you're taking a rest day - you've done enough nesting to cover all of us. I was also worried that August would be a hot month - everyone kept saying oooh, there's going to be a heatwave this year, you'll be so uncomfortable.... I think the hospital might be rather warm (not looking forward to labour in those conditions!!) but I'm looking forward to still being able to take LO out for walks in the pram while the weather's still good.

Report
Hersetta · 11/07/2007 14:56

I too am enjoying this cool weather Banana. I remember last July travelling to work on the tubes when it was 32 degrees (92'F)outside and an oven like 114'F on the tube. I felt sorry for all the pregnant women then and vowed to myself that I wouldn't be heavily pregnant during the summer months! Well, best laid plans and all that ! Am thinking though that we can't be that lucky and have this cool weather last well into August so am preparing myself for a hot last few weeks. Have bought a paddling pool in anticipation of sitting whale like in the garden!
