I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

@BostonFern one of my cats has become obsessed with me too! How weird. Looking forward to hearing how your scan goes, I have one booked for the week after next when I will be 7+5...

@stripes416 @SideEyeing @PinkFizz19 I have had brown discharge as well. It's like old blood and very small amounts so although worrying I am going to assume it's okay.

My boobs have stopped aching though I'd like them to start again! 6weeks tomorrow and time is going so slowly...

@Coffeeandcake87 welcome!

@lordofthefries good luck with your scan tomorrow, let us know how it goes.

Hope everyone else doing well!

codenameduchess · 14/04/2019 22:17

@BostonFern my cats have been even clingier than usual, one is following me around everywhere and bringing offerings of toys and socks and the other is glued to my side at all times- including all night when the last thing I want is a super heated fluff ball on me 😂

Coffeeandcake87 · 15/04/2019 07:54

@pip it sounds like you and me are pretty similar.

Roxybaby12 · 15/04/2019 08:37

My cat is by my side most of the time too! I mentioned it to my husband.. he’d noticed it over the last couple of days.
I feel like crap today, still bleeding and it’s dark red and has tiny clots in it. I’m so scared that after all I’ve been through that I’m losing the baby after all! Feeling so down😓 don’t feel very pregnant anymore either..

So I’m a little outta touch.. who has scans today? I’m so excited for you ladies-you’re all so supportive of each other. Xx

SideEyeing · 15/04/2019 08:54

@Roxybaby12 You've been through such a rollercoaster and been incredibly strong. Hang in there - you will have an answer soon even if it feels like awful limbo right now. Keeping everything crossed 🌈

@agteacht My boobs were totally normal yesterday and it got me down big time. This morning they're sore again - plus feel totally nauseated 🤢

DP invited some friends over yesterday evening and the men decided to get insanely drunk. He better be in decent enough nick to drive me to my scan this evening. Feel so nervous now it's adding to the pukey feeling..

JayDot500 · 15/04/2019 09:11

@Roxy, sending positive vibrations to you, sorry it's all been so up and down Smile

My nausea has appeared, can anyone give me tips on how to retch silently? I scared a few people on my way to the train station this morning Grin

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 15/04/2019 09:16

Hi everyone, I've been reading but not posting much. You're all so amazing and it's really great to read that we all have the same worries and concerns. @Roxybaby12 I think you are so strong! I have everything crossed that everything works out for you and everyone else here.

I was wondering if I could ask opinions. Me and DH were thinking about going for a private scan next weekend, I would be 8+3 but I'm worried I'll see something I don't want to so I keep chickening out of booking. I've miscarried before. What have your experiences of early scans? Worth it?

Azure83 · 15/04/2019 09:31

Welcome @smart! I've had an mc in Oct but that's exactly why I'll be going for an early scan. I have a couple more weeks but I want to go around 8wks when the heartbeat should definitely be detected as we didn't get to that stage before. It might help you feel less anxious?

Starrynights86 · 15/04/2019 09:35

Hi all, I just got my BFP! EDD 20 December. I’m based in NZ so things are different here with midwives but lots of them don’t work over Christmas so I think I will end up with the hospital service which is similar to the UK system if I can’t find a community midwife. Second baby for me, my first is just about to turn 2 :)

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 15/04/2019 10:01

Thank you @Azure83 I've booked us in for Sunday morning, really nervous though.

Lozzlepop · 15/04/2019 10:03

Morning ladies, I am so bad at keeping up with this thread and it moves so fast so just been catching up!

@Roxybaby12 oh huh what an absolute rollercoaster of a weekend you've had! I hope that you are doing as well as can be expected lovely and that its good news for you ❤️

@BostonFern the appointment went well thanks was just a load of questions, got my height and weight done and had to blow into the CO2 thingy, got a load of leaflets and some free vitamins (after spending a tenner the day before lol) bloods get done at my 12 week appointment which should hopefully some through the post in the next few weeks.

@Thund4rcat @Coffeeandcake87 welcome to the group and congrats on your bfps!!

@PinkFizz19 I had some brown spotting last week (just when I wiped) the midwife said that its not uncommon at this early stage and its nothing to worry about, she even said to me that bleeding after sex is to be expected which put me at ease!

@ lordofthefries good luck for your scan today ☺️

@SideEyeing good luck for your scan tonight ☺️

@BostonFern my cat has started doing this too, he's not normally very affectionate but he was curled up next to me on the sofa last night!

@codenameduchess I woke up this morning sandwiched between the super fluffy cat and the OH- overheating was an understatement 😂

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I am having a private scan on Saturday when I will be 8+3 I just want to know one way or another at this stage. Plus we have decided to tell our parents if everything looks good which will hopefully be a nice Easter surprise for them!

After feeling ok last week the nausea has crept back in this morning, almost cried when I got to work and someone had thrown my bread away 🙈how is everyone else feeling? DP keeps staring at my nipples and commenting on how big they are - honestly such a keeper! In other news who is watching GOT tonight?

codenameduchess · 15/04/2019 10:23

Had my first real sickness this morning! And it's highlighted just how far away from the toilets my desk is and how awkwardly set out the office is 🤦‍♀️ a subtle quick walk is pretty impossible and the loos are next to the kitchen so anyone making a brew can hear me wretching.

I've had to get through a couple of meetings already this morning trying to hide gags 🙄

DieCryHate · 15/04/2019 10:25

Good morning. I am useless at keeping up so apologies!

@Roxybaby12 you are being so strong, I am sending you lots of positive vibes.

To the ladies with scans imminently good luck! I'm only 4+5 but had one at 8 weeks with my first and it was well worth the dosh, hearing the heartbeat and seeing them (him). I think I may book one for this pregnancy too.

Welcome to the latest December 2019 ladies!

PinkFizz19 · 15/04/2019 11:21

Thanks ladies @stripes416*@SideEyeing @MinnieLou* @agteacht I went to EPU this morning as i was still worrying and having it. They've scanned me and said they can see the pregnancy but the sac isn't there so my dates are either wrong and I'm earlier than I thought..(we knew we'd probably only be about 4 weeks from using OPKs but they say 6 cos they go off your last period) or my dates are right n it's stopped growing. We're going back next Tuesday to have another scan and keeping everything crossed that it's developed and nothing changes. She said she can only reassure us next week when she can see it progressing xxx

JayDot500 · 15/04/2019 11:28

Fingers crossed!! @PinkFizz19

RobinsNest17 · 15/04/2019 12:30

Sorry I introduced myself and then disappeared for a week- went on holiday and had no signal! I really feel for everyone waiting on scans - been in that situation several times myself and I know how awful the waiting and not knowing is. In fact I'd forgotten (in just 16 months!) how terrifying early pregnancy is. I'm back to panicking about every little twinge and obsessively checking loo roll again.

I've felt rough this past week, lots of back ache and abdominal twinges, lots of nausea - all a LOT earlier than I've had before. I'm wondering if my body's just getting into the swing of it quicker this time as it's now finally had a successful pregnancy!

I had to take DS to the Dr this morning so I made my booking appt while I was there- it's not until 10weeks! I'm sure it was earlier last time but I was in a different health authority then. I think I'm going to contact the GP tomorrow and ask about whether they would early scan me early, given my history of recurrent missed miscarriages.

PickledEgg89 · 15/04/2019 15:13

Hello ladies can I just dip my toe in here. I got a bfp on Saturday after having a MC in January. I had 2 missed mc's before my youngest so I'm feeling very nervous but would love somewhere to offload a little. EDD is around December 20th I think x

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 15/04/2019 16:41

Anyone else had this? I'm having an absolute job getting a higher dose of folic acid.
The midwife I spoke to when I was about 5 weeks said I would need it due to my BMI and told me to speak to my GP.
The GP said it was the midwives that need to give them a letter. I called the midwives back and almost 2 weeks later have heard nothing. I called them again today and they said they'll call me back. I can't buy the higher dose it has to be prescribed apparently.
I'm just worried it's important. They expect my booking app to be at 10 weeks so almost 3 weeks to go until that.

DieCryHate · 15/04/2019 17:12

Hi @smartcarnotsosmartdriver I'm on the higher dose of folic acid. I went to the GP about something unrelated and mentioned it and she did the prescription there and then. This was actually before I conceived as I was told I needed it from TTC (not BMI related so probably different).

That's pretty shocking they're passing you to and fro. Could you ask to speak to the practice manager for clarification on who is responsible since neither are taking ownership of sorting this for you? Do you have any notes on the system you could refer to (I have a consultant letter from my birth debrief stating I should have 5mg folic acid in subsequent pregnancies, do you have similar kind of thing?). Good luck.

agteacht · 15/04/2019 18:05

Oh so sorry to hear this @PinkFizz19
It will be so nerve wracking until your scan. Thinking of you Thanks

Pip231018 · 15/04/2019 18:10

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I read in another thread that you can buy the higher dose at Superdrug. Not sure if that's right. X

Runnerchick80 · 15/04/2019 18:15

Hello.. not used this before so hope I’m replying to the right thread 😁 hope you don’t mind me joining x

Runnerchick80 · 15/04/2019 18:16

Sorry I should have said I think I’m around 6 weeks pregnant but keep getting differing dates? NHS putting me as five but all others 6.. can anyone recommend a solid calculator or how you work it out? Also when do you get symptoms.. I’m a bit worried as feel quite fine unlike I did with my first pregnancy x

lordofthefries · 15/04/2019 18:21

Hi all, I went for my scan today. I’m exactly 7 weeks and we heard a heartbeat.

DieCryHate · 15/04/2019 18:27

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I've just checked amazon and you can order the higher dose from America. There's plenty of reviews so if you're not getting a quick response from the gps could be worth ordering these? I think I may get some as they only gave me two months worth for the prescription fee.

@lordofthefries that's great news, glad you got to hear the heartbeat!
