Due Mid November.

Hi, just wondered if anyone was due around mid November to “compare notes”, I’m due the 13th.
I’m 5+3 and did 3 positive tests Tuesday (I don’t know what all the abbreviations mean to use sorry).
Have been feeling really sick for the past three days and had some discomfort especially at night which keeps me awake. I’m craving fruit which is not like me.
It’s our first and I’m 34 with previous issues with my cervix so the GP said I’m high risk but talked me through it.
I had a bad gp experience but will discuss that if anyone wants to know.

I've felt a bit nauseous so far but not too bad...mainly tired...so so tired haha
I'm high risk too- high BMI and this is my third pregnancy since last May- unfortunately both previous pregnancies ended in miscarriage.
I hope the next 7 weeks are quick and uneventful! X

Congratulations to you firstly! :)
I'm new to everything too and having to google the abbreviations, so don't worry.
You and are are months apart, age wise, and (IF I truly am pregnant, I'm still doubting, as you do), my due date is supposed to be the 5th of November.
I've done one test so far, which was this morning, and hoping to do another Sunday morning- 48 hours later.
Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience with the GP. That's not nice at all. Feel free to share your experience.
I'm waiting on my next test and will take a picture and post it in a thread I just started today, and will update you on how everything goes, because if it is really a positive, the 5th and 13th of November is not too far apart. :)

Congratulations to you both. How exciting. LAJ let’s hope for third time lucky. I did three tests, two tesco and one boots digital. It’s been a few days and it still hasn’t sunk in. I’ve been feeling really nauseous.
Went to the GP, I had an idea I would he high risk but she said it very blasé which was a massive shock to my partner and he gasped in shock. She then continued with an I cba attitude, didn’t answer any of my questions and kept talking over me when I repeated the questions. She did my blood pressure and nothing else then said the midwife would be in contact in a few weeks. I do a physical job and asked for a note, she said that was not her job to assess and I needed to go to my company ocu health. At one point she was sat playing with her hair. I’m by no means fluffy but I left in floods of tears and shaking . Other half drove straight to another gp surgery where I am embarrassed to admit I cried when telling the receptionists what had just happened and they got me an appointment for later in the day. Second gp could not have been more different, explained why I was high risk and that I may need a stitch later on but I will be monitored to see. She said my age is also a factor at 34! She did my weight, height blood pressure and as I had some discomfort had a feel of my tummy which she said was fine and down to growing pains. She then gave me a note saying I was high risk pregnancy and advised to go onto lighter work. Such a difference and so grateful to that surgery and gp

Oh my God, what a dreadful GP!! I'm so sorry you had to go through that! You truly didn't deserve that at all.
My first thoughts were " Oh my God, you need to leave that practice ASAP" and as I read on, I was so so delighted to read that you did, and straight away, and overjoyed that they were empathetic and even booked you in for later that day!

I'm glad you're in safe hands now and utterly mortified she was even playing with her hair while discussing a serious matter with you. People like that don't deserve to be in a profession that's supposed to be about caring!

I totally would've broken down too, just like you did. You'd just come from there, and it was so fresh and raw. It was a natural reaction. xox

So lovely she checked your belly over too and it's so nice to hear " growing pains " isn't it.
I hope you find some lighter work soon.

I'm 33 and a half, this pregnancy (if confirmed positive by my second test tomorrow morning ) will also be our first. I have poly and also have several fibroids, and my GP sent off for a referral for gynae for these issues AND infertility, but now things are looking slightly different. I'm wondering if given my issues, I would be considered high risk?

@littleseed CONGRATULATIONS how exciting. Have you worked out your due date? I’m so pleased for you. It’s not a nice feeling knowing something possibly isn’t right. It’s reassuring meeting someone in a similar position. Are you going to your gp? I told my Mum and Bro last night, they were shocked but happy and have been told they are to tell nobody else.

Thank you so much! I re-tested today, this morning at around 11:20am to be specific, hehe! The result was positive! It feels surreal, doesn't it!

Based on the calculator on here, my due date should be the 5th of November.

Funnily, I pre-booked an appointment with the GP for this coming Wednesday! Definitely came in handy, and so glad I booked it now. I'll need to raise everything with the GP now.

I'm linking it because there's someone on that thread who has a fibroid and she's having an early scan on the 12th of March. I'm guessing that because yours and mine are not your average pregnancies, that we'll both be monitored much more closely and have much more regular scans for sure.
I've read the thread but not yet commented or added myself to the November ladies.

Aww, that's great your mum and brother were happy for you. [flower] I've not told a soul yet, but I'm thinking of telling mum first, but wondering how hehe. It feels odd telling when I'm still in shock and disbelief myself.

@littleseed I’ve had a look and posted in the other thread. It’s seems great with alot of similar ladies which is nice.

Kind of gross but ended up in gp again today as have thrush which is apparently very common. She was again very nice and put my mind at ease.

I'm glad you're feeling more reassured seeing the other ladies on the other thread with similar things. It seems it's a scary ride for everyone.

That's great the GP was nice and put your mind at ease!
Did she just go by your symptoms? Or did she have to have a look to determine it's thrush?
I think they give you some cream for thrush?

BTW are you aware we get free prescriptions and dental treatment?

I had already bought some cream and she did a test to see what level is going on, if it’s really bad they do a pessary but if not then just the cream.
I just feel I’m worried all the time, I’ve not felt sick, cramps or any symptoms for two days which worries me but need to chill out because it’s not healthy.
It is nice to read the other thread and know we aren’t alone.

I agree, as hard as it is, we do need to try and be calm and not stress because that won't help. Try and think positive thoughts and take solace knowing that symptoms fluctuate.
Thanks hun, as much as I'm looking forward to getting my 1000'2 of questions answered tomorrow, I'm also apprehensive about the appointment as she does rush you and nips things in the bud if " you're talking too much. " So I'm concerned about whether I'll be able to address everything / fit everything in.

Have you arranged anything with the midwife yet?

Aww, thank you for checking on me.
I'm happy to say the doctor's went well- much better than I expected, and I was so happy I was able to address all the points I'd jotted down.
The doctor said for me to still stick with my appointment with the gynae consultant, but to tell them that I'm pregnant.
I got my folic acid and Vitamin D prescription too. I just took my first dose of both.
I also got the maternity exemption form whilst there and filled it in. Reception said it'll be signed by the doctor tomorrow and sent off. Have you done yours? It'll ensure you get free prescriptions and dental treatment.

That's lovely to hear your MW appointment has been booked! I have no idea what to expect either, and was trying to establish what exactly happens but didn't get much response regarding that on the other thread.
One lady said hers lasted 80 minutes though! She said she had her BP taken and bloods taken too, so I'm guessing something of that sort will happen.

Found out yesterday I’m expecting my second in November and immediately wanted to find a group like this as it helped me no end with my first pregnancy 3 1/2 years ago 😁 I’m due around 19th Novemebr and have my drs appointment booked for a couple of weeks time and then from there the midwife appointment. Looking forward to chatting with you all and getting to know you all better over the next few months xxx

I got a call today from the MW!!
I asked her how long the sessions last and she said about an hour. Because of all my other issues, she said I'd have to be seen by a consultant, so hugs it may feel daunting for us at times, but God bless us and help us through it. xx

@littleseed that’s so nice to have received a call, I don’t think I get anything until my appointment. Can’t wait for that appointment. I’ve had some discomfort today which had been different to other days, I’m sure it’s fine. My sister in laws Mum is a midwide so if we have any questions I can ask her ans pop it on her, told her about the gp and she was mortified!

Hi can I join you all? I'm due either the 17th by my last period or a little later by ovulation. First baby if all goes well, a little nervous after a previous early miscarriage. Only found out yesterday and I'm completely on edge, not sure what to do next and the other November thread is bit big for me right now.

As you can see, we have had a week for it to settle in so totally relate to the panic and I think I have only just started to slightly settle down. None of us on here have a clue what the abbreviations all mean and I might try to find a post that shows what they all are?

Yes, it was lovely to get the call- it all felt that little more real.
It was a mobile number and I never normally answer unknown numbers but my heart said it was her, and it was!
That's fantastic you have a midwife in the family. That's so useful and so much help and offers you that extra reassurance.

As @Bells84 said, it takes a while to sink in, hehe and your emotions are mental- you're ecstatic yet worried etc. It's all normal, so we're finding out, hehe.

I've googled some of the abbreviations and now know that:

AF= Aunt flo - which means period. (Actually this one I remembered from years ago but forgot it until I saw it again)

DH= Dear husband.

DS= Dear son

DD= Dear daughter*

DC= Dear child.

TTC= Trying to conceive.

BFP= Big fat positive (pregnancy test result)

BFN= Big fat negative.

HPT= Home pregnancy test

@littleseed I really wouldn’t worry, it’s an easy mistake.

I am so emotional it’s out of control, my bf was working nights two nights ago and I couldn’t sleep. At 4am I ring him sobbing my heart out that I’m tired and can’t sleep. I also keep crying at facebook videos, I can’t stop!
Talking of hormonal, the bf decided to call me that to my face earlier after I got upset that he brought home prawns.....I love prawns and can’t have them so how is that fair??????
Do you guys have partners?

@Bells84 I'm married. My husband is beyond excited about this which is excellent really. Can you not have prawns while pregnant? Didn't know that
