Hi, just wondered if anyone was due around mid November to “compare notes”, I’m due the 13th.
I’m 5+3 and did 3 positive tests Tuesday (I don’t know what all the abbreviations mean to use sorry).
Have been feeling really sick for the past three days and had some discomfort especially at night which keeps me awake. I’m craving fruit which is not like me.
It’s our first and I’m 34 with previous issues with my cervix so the GP said I’m high risk but talked me through it.
I had a bad gp experience but will discuss that if anyone wants to know.

Thanks @Bells84. Smile
Ooh are we not allowed prawns?! Maybe he didn't know that and brought them knowing you love them?
I would steer clear of any things like videos that trigger emotions and tears. I've noticed I'm the same, and so I've decided to avoid things like that now. You'll feel a lot better once you do!

Aph413 · 16/03/2019 11:06

All cooked shellfish is fine! Thank god Grin I have a packet of prawns in the fridge I was suddenly upset at throwing out.
Also quite happy to read that I can have salami if I freeze it for 4 days before hand. Which is going to help keep this quiet, meant to be having a wine and cheese night next week, I'm driving so that stops the drinking.

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:19

Thanks for that @Apha413! I did a quick search and came across the nhs page saying about cooked prawns and shell fish being fine. That's good to know!
Ooh, good to know about the salami too!

Aph413 · 16/03/2019 11:21

Only one I'm annoyed by is well cooked steak only Angry everything else I can live with.
My plan is to go buy all the salami and cured meats for the cheese and wine evening and stick them in my freezer. My brother and sil will never know and it'll mean I can still enjoy my night

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:24

You never know, you may end up going off of steak altogether! That's what I'm thinking and worrying about- all the things I love but may go off!

Aph413 · 16/03/2019 11:27

I tried cooking chicken last night. To me it smelt so bad and strong, husband said nothing wrong with it and well in date. Was fine once it was cooking but the smell of the raw chicken nearly set me off. Also managed to almost throw up putting a new bin bag in at my parents house Blush

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 11:37

Oh no! That's horrible! Our sense of smell does get abnormally strong. The video I watched on here said we'd have the sense of smell of a dog, lol!

Aph413 · 16/03/2019 16:47

That really wouldn't surprise me after today!

Bells84 · 16/03/2019 17:18

The same as a dog Shock
I had the same with chicken, convinced it was off and then the same the next night with sausages (then I realised it was me).
Ohhhhh thanks girls, so I can have prawnsD yessssssssss Smile
I wasn’t sure if it was scaremongering or if there is some truth in an article I read about not wearing normal deodorants as the main ingredient that’s bad for baby is aluminium along with a couple of others. After reading it I have swapped to the Dove No Aluminium one, it’s the same price and seems to do the job. I’ve put a photo of the ingredients it mentioned.

Due Mid November.

Well cooked prawns, still this is great news.

Let's wait and see what we get surprised with @Aph413

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 18:12

Hi @Bells84

YES! you can have your prawns Grin

Shellfish in pregnancy
Always eat cooked, rather than raw, shellfish – including mussels, lobster, crab, prawns, scallops and clams – when you're pregnant, as they can contain harmful bacteria and viruses that can cause food poisoning. Cold pre-cooked prawns are fine.

Littleseed · 16/03/2019 18:14

Oh wow!! @Bells84 I didn't know about the aluminium in deodrants! Although like you said, it's hard to know sometimes, but if there's an alternative out there, why take the risk.
I didn't know there was a dove no aluminium! I hope our supermarket has it!

Bells84 · 16/03/2019 22:21

@littleseed thanks for the link!
The dove one is in boots and tesco but not with the other dove ones, it’s in the sensitive section. It seems to do the job the same but I’m not exactly exerting myself at the moment. I’m super cautious and have been using a Sanex shower gel with no parabens etc but I refuse to give up hairspray I NEED IT!

OP posts:
Littleseed · 17/03/2019 05:24

Wow @Bells84 thanks so much for that. I didn't even think about shower gel and deodrants! You're doing so well! Thanks for telling me!
You know the deodrant, is it the spray type? I'm not keep on the spray ones- I find they're nowhere near as effective as actual roll-ons.
I need to look for the sanex paraben free!

Bells84 · 17/03/2019 19:38

Roll on, It was from boots and I’ve seen it in Tesco. I tried the Simple one but it smells abit weird, the dove one is much better.
I have been feeling really nauseous in the evenings, how are you guys feeling?

OP posts:
Littleseed · 19/03/2019 21:45

Hi @Bells84

Ohh that's so great to hear it's a roll on! Only thing is, I haven't got a Boots or a Tesco's near me. Sad
It's good to know simple do it too- not if it smells weird though. Grin
I've got a water bottle right now for my back.
I also had some red blood mixed with clear when I wiped in the bathroom, so I have no idea what to do now.

Bells84 · 21/03/2019 19:48

@littleseed I hope everything is ok. Did you go to the docs or have any more other than that one wipe?

OP posts:
Littleseed · 21/03/2019 22:14

Thanks @Bells84

I'm seeing the MW tomorrow, so hoping for some reassurance soon!
How are you?

Bells84 · 22/03/2019 15:08

@littleseed how did the midwife go? I hope it all went well.
I feel kind of in no mans land, I’ve known for 2.5 weeks now but haven’t seen any healthcare professionals since the gp and have another 4 weeks until the midwife, it just feels abit strange.

Hello! I've missed this thread somehow! I'm due on 14th November and I'm so excited to be 7 weeks today. I'm now 'properly' pregnant, if anything goes wrong I can get a scan and be taken seriously. I actually have a scan on Monday due to 3 prior mc (all before 6 weeks). Took a test today to see what it would look like!

Due Mid November.
