The Bugaboo fox is the replacement model for the buffalo. I want it because I like shiny new things but I don't need it and I'm not allowed it!

Our Bugaboo Chameleon was fine off road though. We considered the buffalo but it was wide which put me off. There's not been anywhere I've not been able to take the Cam.

Still want the fox!

Husband we really can’t justify a new pram as we have an Egg Stroller that’s only two years old and in good condition - will just get adapters so can use it as a tandem with the carrycot for baby and toddler seat for DD1, so that’s £50 for adapters and jobs a good’un. To be honest over the past 18m it hasn’t got that much use because I quickly found that having a small lighter pushchair was just so much more convenient to chuck in car from when DD was 5/6m or so. If I had my time again I’d probably go for the Bugaboo chameleon or similar as I love the look but would probably find same thing re bulkiness and weight.

But getting excited as will need a second lighter pushchair for travelling abroad with the two kiddos (we have a Babyzen yoyo which is fab and will continue to use with newborn insert, but need something similarly light and not too pricey) - getting excited about something like the Cybex eesy S as can also go as cabin baggage like a Yoyo. Thought about the GB Pockit+ as it’s truly tiny (big handbag sized!) but seat doesn’t recline which is a bit useless.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 21/03/2019 11:27

Will be getting a new baby carrier though as we had the Baby Bjorn One with DD and I absolutely hated it how structured and stiff it was. We have a caboo closer for indoors that I’ll use again as I loved that, but thinking maybe an Ergo baby 360 for out an about or the Cybex Yema. Anyone had either?

KLane · 21/03/2019 12:01

@Megan2018 Ah yes, I forgot about the Fox. I think it's meant to be the best of the Bugaboo pram features- the off roading/larger tyres of the Buffalo but more compact like the Chameleon. They're pricey, but Bagaboos really hold their value for resale.

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri I love by Ergo 360. I used the Caboo Close for a few months around the house, but ultimately turned to the Ergo day to day for better support. I still use it occasionally with DS who is 22 months and 30 lbs!

Well I've told my boss today and he was fine, congratulated me and didn't make any comments that I expected him to, other than ask if it was planned. He really didn't have a clue so think I have hidden it quite well and work with people who don't take notice of anything . Feeling relieved that it's out and I can stop hidding!

IVEgottheDECAF · 21/03/2019 12:18

Well done boodles we are telling last important people this weekend

I havent ever used a sling/carrier with any of my dc but want one for this one especially in first six months just so it gives the option of chucking grumpy toddler in the buggy if i need to!

Ive been eyeing up the icandy strawberry online, anyone had this?

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 21/03/2019 12:29

That must be a relief @boodles101 although HmmConfused at your boss asking if it was planned!

DustyDoorframes · 21/03/2019 12:41

Oh well done @boodles101 ! Bring on the maternity wear! Woo hoo!

boodles101 · 21/03/2019 12:52

Definitely in need of maternity uniform@!

kyles101 · 21/03/2019 12:54

Stroan pleased you liked your cam as that's what we have - like you I had a hankering for the fox but as lovely MIL bought it for us and was so excited it seemed ungrateful to ask if we could pay the difference to upgrade to the fox, and she'd have probably insisted on paying the difference herself anyway bless her. One you add on the black frame and other bits the cam was more than expensive enough! But the fox is lush!!

Stroan · 21/03/2019 13:17

Sling wise, I really loved my Connecta (although I think the company have different owners now so may have changed) and a Tula. DD started sling-refusing just after I bought the Tula to carry her on my back which was a bit annoying!

I prefer buckle carriers once they are more wriggly. Didn't like the Baby Bjorn at all, but DH preferred it.

Oh nooo my exhaustion has come back this week. I feel rotten today with it. I tried pushing my bed time back earlier but I just wake up after 8 hours regardless. I just want daytime naps, why do I have to work all day instead? Sad

DustyDoorframes · 21/03/2019 13:51

Oh no @Lavellan! Working is just such a bore...
@IVEgottheDECAF are you still signed off? Come on physio appointment!
@Stroan we loved the connecta too! But nothing beats trying out several at a sling library. We hired 3 or 4 before striking gold with the Connecta which we both loved (I think the same people still make is under a different name, integra possibly? They had some weird copyright/bankruptcy problems and had to start over I think...)

Karigan195 · 21/03/2019 14:06

@Lavellan was your iron ok on booking in bloods? I’ve been shattered thinking where is the second trimester baby moon. Turned out my iron was low! Or you might be getting a cold. Rest up. Plenty of vit c and leafy greens maybe?

Megan2018 · 21/03/2019 14:31

@Lavellan
I’m not much better tiredness wise either. Better than wks 10-13 but I feel brain dead. Completely foggy, can’t think straight, am forgetting everything and have no focus at work. It a sort of mental fatigue, although could also happily nap too.
Alas my bloods inc iron were 100% normal, so I don’t think it’s physical.

Lavellan · 21/03/2019 14:53

Yeah my iron was great. My only theory is this kiddo's growing in spurts. Might eat a steak and greens anyway just to be on the safe side though. ;)

Fingers crossed for you @heather88 hope everything turns out to be ok. Does anyone know how we join the Facebook group? I’ve tried searching through the previous threads but can’t find how to join. Would someone mind pointing me in the right direction? I’m finding everyone’s experiences and input very helpful and want more! 🤣 best wishes to everyone 😘

Megan2018 · 21/03/2019 15:37

@firstbabybean

You need to add Leyla Preston as a friend and also message her to be added to the Secret September group. Her profile picture is her and her 2 children standing with balloon swords!

Megan2018 · 21/03/2019 15:38

Although I am actually finding it very confusing as can't work out who is who Blush

firstbabybean · 21/03/2019 16:23

Thank you @Megan2018!

challengeyourreality · 21/03/2019 20:27

@Heather88 hope you are okay this evening, my thoughts are with you

Hsunshine · 21/03/2019 21:01

@megan2018 I had to change my car, literally zero prams would fit in

excitednerves · 21/03/2019 23:04

Oh my goodness I haven’t even thought about prams yet!!! We need to move house in June as we literally have no space in our flat for anything so I’ve postponed all buying as we have nowhere to put it.

I literally put my hands on one in John Lewis one day when Husband and I were shopping and that’s it. Research required!

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/03/2019 07:15

Pram wise i am happy to spend no more than £500 or £600 if includes a carseat. I am good at bargain hunting. Dc4s pram and carseat was less than £450, however he outgrew it by 12months.

On that note i will let you all know Cosatto Giggle2 although beautiful are not great size wise. He outgrew the carrycot by 5 months and the seat unit isnt meant to be used until 6 months or sitting unaided (which he wasnt) Then by 12 months his head was touching inside the hood on the seat unit.

Hope all ok with you heather

MyBreadIsEggy · 22/03/2019 07:29

I would never spend as much on a pram as I had in the past Blush
My parents insisted on buying the pram for DC1, which was around £400.
We bought the double when DC2 came along, it was an ex-display model so had a few hundred quid knocked off it, but it was still £500 Blush and then it barely got used Blush
We recently invested in a cheap umbrella stroller which DC2 is happy enough to go in for short journeys, so I think I’ll stick with that for now and then put baby in one of my many slings! That’s how it went with DC2 - he was a pram refuser from the start. So DC1 went in the double in its single configuration and DC2 was in a sling.....for 2 years Blush
