Hello! I think there are a few of us knocking around the due date boards, so I thought I'd make us a cozy spot of our own.
I'm expecting number three at the end of September, so early days yet. It was all a bit spur of the moment, and I'm cacking myself to be honest. I keep losing it with the kids I already have so not quite sure how I'll cope with three!!

Just seen this group... my visit here will be short lived I think!

I am currently 40+6 with my DS3, older DS are 11 and 12. I had two MMCs before this pregnancy so it was kind of our last try (I’m 38 and feeling it!).

Will hopefully have our little boy soon! 😍

On the subject of space.. I have a two bed terrace house 😂 my boys currently share and work will begin in the spring to convert our loft into the master bedroom plus en suite 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hah, welcome @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking (love your user name! My dad used to say that a lot...).
Eeep, good luck with the next few weeks!!!

Hello!

Can I join please? This is my third baby and I mostly just have an overwhelming feeling of being BORED. Felt like I could write a dissertation on giving birth after my 1st, got really into birth stories for my 2nd but now... tumbleweed

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 25/02/2019 13:37

I’ve gone past bored into fed up... I know what you mean though, I’d read up on virtually everything in previous pregnancies, (even though they were some time ago... not that much has changed).

I don’t particularly enjoy pregnancy bar a few weeks in the middle and so I just feel like I’ve been waiting..

I’m 41+4 today, so shouldn’t be too much longer!

DustyDoorframes · 25/02/2019 15:10

Welcome @thepartysover !
Hah, @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking I was about to pop on here to see if you were still going... come on baby Cabbage! turn up!!!

I've felt so much sicker this time, i'm 9 weeks now. I quite like the excitement (and incredibleness) of being pregnant, but I'm not enjoying this one bit. Hopefully the second trimester will be better...

OP posts:
NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 25/02/2019 20:03

I was so nauseated in the first trimester! Was only actually sick once or twice a day.. but felt ill 24/7 😖

I started being sick again in the third, but not daily... and I didn’t actually feel sick at all, it was weird!
Haven’t been ill for a week or so now though 🤞🏼

DustyDoorframes · 28/02/2019 11:51

Are you still hanging on on there @NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking ?? Thinking of you!
I'm 9 weeks now and pretty much showing, argh! I really don't want the cat out of the bag before my 13 week scan...

OP posts:
NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 28/02/2019 12:57

Yep... still here! 😂

Two weeks over today, I’ve been in for monitoring today and everything looks good still, they scanned the cord/placenta and that’s fine, however he’s measuring fairly big at 9lb 8oz, so they’d want to induce even if I wasn’t overdue so as not to allow him to get any bigger.

I’ve had another sweep today, so I want to give that 48 hours to work, but I’m booked in Saturday for induction. Fingers crossed I start naturally before then! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Good luck on hiding your bump!! The fact I wasn’t drinking or smoking gave it away to my mates instantly.. one or the other I could’ve got away with, but to stop both together had people guessing 😂😂

DustyDoorframes · 28/02/2019 15:04

Haha, I've got nct birthday season starting soon, I've told them already otherwise turning away glasses of bubbly would out me pronto...
Good luck with the next couple of days! Did you go over with your others? Someone I know bounced hers out with some vigorous see-saw action in the playground...

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 28/02/2019 16:37

Ha... can’t see me on a seesaw 😂 I’ll stick with my yoga ball.

Yeah, first was 15 days late, second was 12.. so I wasn’t expecting an early one.

DustyDoorframes · 28/02/2019 16:59

Yoga ball sounds much comfier than a seesaw! Come on baby cabbage!!

@notasgreenascabbagelooking all mine have been overdue too. Dd1 was induced at 42wk, dd2 came spontaneous at 9 days late and dd3 was induced at 42wks. She was induced by my waters being broken and it was only 2hrs long. She weighed 9lb 10!

I'm nearly 18w with number 4 who I imagine will also turn up late or need evicting!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 01/03/2019 21:03

@EverythingNow - That’s encouraging thank you!

I am really dreading tomorrow... I am so hoping they don’t need to do more than break my waters 🤞🏼🤞🏼

EverythingNow · 01/03/2019 21:12

Fingers crossed for you xx

DustyDoorframes · 02/03/2019 08:39

Fingers very very crossed! My first was induced for pre-eclampsia, and it was totally fine. I did need the drip, but the midwife and DP helped me keep mobile even on the monitor, and it was speedy and not that sore. But with any luck that babe will turn up tonight unprompted (which is what my second did- born 6 hours before I was due in to be induced...)

Just seen this group. Can I join please .. I'm expecting Baby number 3. I'm 25+1 weeks today with another little boy. I have DD16 and DS11. Just worked out I'll have done 28 years of school runs in total once this little one had left high school😶😂😂😂.

DustyDoorframes · 06/03/2019 07:49

Welcome @Littleray84 !
That's a school run of champions!!
How do your bigger two feel about the pregnancy? I'm only 10 weeks so haven't told mine yet, but they are much smaller (6 and 2.5)...

OP posts:
Littleray84 · 07/03/2019 07:27

@dustydoorframes my bigger two are very excited. My eldest was a bit apprehensive at first but she has come around to the idea and is now buying him little bits of clothes out of her part time wage, and is really looking forward to him arriving. On the other hand I'm very nervous 😕 it's been such a long time since I've had a newborn.

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 09:32

Awww that's lovely!

OP posts:
Easterbuns1 · 07/03/2019 12:03

I told my older two (8&9) last week after my dating scan, they are both delighted. They have been writing name lists and ds has been hugging my belly. They are being very understanding about me being exhausted and grumpy!

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 12:31

This all bodes very well, then! I think my 6 year old will be keen, not sure what the little one will make of it. She's a bit of a loon so there's no knowing- it's definitely going to be key not to leave her alone with the baby...

OP posts:
EverythingNow · 07/03/2019 16:08

My 18yo and 7yo are both excited whereas my 9yo is a bit apprehensive. I think she will be great once baby is here though. Was most worried about the eldest but she's been great.

EverythingNow · 07/03/2019 16:17

@littleray84 your post about school runs til the end of high school has forced me to confront the truth of mine.

If we factor in secondary Dd1 started school 2005, and dc4 will leave in 2035. 30years of school runs! I'm up for 15yrs next year and I am so getting a t shirt.

And dd1 will be 36 when this one is 18! I'm not going to think about it again as it sounds so scary!

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 17:13

Aah everythibg it will be brilliant. What could be better than a grown-up sister to storm off to in a teenage huff?? They will be such assets to each other!
