I'm from the Scottish Borders so not far from @avacadooo

We've just celebrated my DDs 1st birthday. I am so so so knackered. I have a sore throat, the shivers and we have no heating :-( I sound so miserable. We've had a fantastic day with our families and friends. I can't believe my baby is 1 and next year there will be 4 of us! Eek.

@JenMumma such a thoughtful, lovely person you are. Take time to look after yourself and hopefully we will see you popping up on another ante natal club soon xxx

avacadooo · 29/12/2018 22:00

@ScotsBaby2 no way! I was born in the bgh 😂😂
All my family live down there and I work in the borders too 😂

Blueberry2018 · 29/12/2018 22:16

@ScotsBaby2 I feel your pain. I currently have a perforated ear drum from ear infection i didnt no i had, sore throat and am throwing up like a trooper from ms. Oh the joys!

emma1224 · 29/12/2018 22:34

ScotsBaby2 · 29/12/2018 22:55

@avacadooo my DD was born at the BGH and so will this tiddler.

canonlyhopexo · 29/12/2018 23:00

I'm in the south east! Anyone else?

starryeyed13 · 29/12/2018 23:06

Sorry to hear others are feeling pants too, but I kinda glad to hear I'm not the only one dreading going back to work! I am in total awe of those of you with little ones already, especially those with poorly little ones!

My Mum was a midwife back in the day and swears blind that having a ginger nut biscuit before you get out of bed can really help, so I'm going to try that. Also, I'm finding my energy levels crashing quite easily and have naturally been leaning towards eating little and often (usually I'm a 3 square meals kinda gal!)

@canonlyhopexo I'm also from the south east (though currently living more south coast way!)

Notanotherpawpatrol · 29/12/2018 23:48

Blii, not eating will make it worse. Can you try some dry crackers? Dry cream crackers are my go to at the moment. But I've also had digestives and dry bread 🙈

clairelee17 · 30/12/2018 03:10

I'm from North/North West London :-)

Bakingabean · 30/12/2018 06:47

I'm south west London.

Discovered that if I gt to bed later I actually get more sleep because I don't get up to pee so much. I know it's stupidly early now, but 7 hours of sleep seems like a luxury at the moment!

Poppy012 · 30/12/2018 09:34

West midlands here

I joined a while ago under a different user name 'belle2008' but I got locked out of my account as I couldn't remember my password.

Had an early scan yesterday and all looking good for dates 7 weeks today. No real symptoms just very tired xx

OctoberGirl91 · 30/12/2018 10:14

I am from South Yorkshire and got my midwife appointment Thursday at 6 +2 xx

Blueberry2018 · 30/12/2018 10:24

@Poppy012 West Midlands here too x

orangefolly · 30/12/2018 10:25

@clairelee17 I'm North London too - Haringey!

UnicornDust17 · 30/12/2018 10:29

I used to live in SW London @bakingabean (Victoria) before moving further south... 😊

CalmerComber · 30/12/2018 10:32

I’m in Gloucestershire. Though currently doing what feels like a rand tour of the U.K. visiting every single farflung family member and vomiting along the way.

Ninunina · 30/12/2018 10:32

I'm in Malta! I used to live in South West London previously but moved here when I was 8 months pregnant with DD1.

Moncwf · 30/12/2018 10:36

Kjcoe, I'm south ish east Midlands

Poppy012 · 30/12/2018 10:38

@Blueberry oh lovely 😘

Poppy012 · 30/12/2018 10:40

I haven't even arranged the midwife yet 🙈 I'm only 7 weeks tho so suppose it's not that bad. Need to sort it in the new year so I can get my 12 week scan booked xx

stylix1981 · 30/12/2018 10:42

Sheff, south yorkshire here

Nursiemum27 · 30/12/2018 10:55

@Poppy012 I only arranged my midwife appt on Friday and it’s for 16th January!

starryeyed13 · 30/12/2018 11:11

Just had my scan. Such a surreal experience. Baby has a heartbeat and they've dated me at 6 weeks 2 days which doesn't quite tally with my dates, ovulation was 7 weeks ago, but all seems to be ok so far (touch wood!)

ScotsBaby2 · 30/12/2018 11:25

@starryeyed13 that's good! My scan was at 8+1 and the sonographer (which my phone just auto corrected to pornographer!!! 😂) said that even at that point it was hard to date because the structures they have to measure are so small. So I imagine it's even harder at 6 weeks!! It might well catch up at a later scan!
