Also @Everythingnow I'm going to get myself a pillow tonight and see if that helps. I have been waking randomly through the night but had no issues getting back off to sleep, just getting to sleep.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Anyone had their midwife appointment before 8 weeks for my letter today it's for next Thursday I'll be just over 6 weeks I think, last period was 10th Nov but because of ERPC on 4th October I think my period were messed up didn't get positive OPK till 3/4th December.

I told all this to Doctor when they referred me over phone and I'm happy to see them just want to check there will be no concerns with me being 6+2 possibly.

xx

marajade12 · 29/12/2018 12:15

Hi @OctoberGirl91 I had mine at 6 weeks. Midwife was grappling with a new IT system so it took almost 3 hours 🙄

milly2000 · 29/12/2018 12:16

@OctoberGirl91 my midwife won't see me until 8 weeks which will be around the 2nd. But if your gp has referred you I'm pretty sure it's fine. I'm sure they'd contact you if they didn't want to see you so early.

I've booked a 9 week scan to settle my constant nerves has anyone else had a 9 week scan? I had a 6 week scan and there was a heartbeat but not much else to see really. I just need that last bit of reassurance before 12 weeks comes around!

OctoberGirl91 · 29/12/2018 12:32

Thanks everyone I did explain all my dates and everything to receptionist I spoke to and explained MC as well.

I'm happy to have the appointment as I had my ERPC day I was due to have my booking appointment last time. Hopefully she might help me get an early scan wonder if they work from LMP or ovulation because I know I definitely didn't ovulate earlier than beginning of December. Just don't want my 12 week scan to be too early and people start thinking pregnancy is behind.

xx

Kcjoe · 29/12/2018 13:03

@Funkyemzie are you 5+1 from your LMP? It confuses me how the apps etc work out how far along you are. I'm tempted to do a digital again today. Just for peace of mind 😂 My last hcg test was on boxing day and it was around 270. It was 100 two days before.

Funkyemzie · 29/12/2018 13:23

@Kcjoe yes I'm 5+1 from the 1st day of my last period which was 23rd November. My conception date was 8th December, which is the day we celebrated my OH's birthday!

Did u get an HCG test at the docs?

@Octobergirl91 my best friend had her appointment at 7 weeks, mine is booked for 8+3, the day after my first scan. I don't think it's an issue that it's so early and prob a good thing because like you say, you might be able to get your early scan booked in! Just means waiting a while for the normal 12 week scan. X

Moncwf · 29/12/2018 14:06

@Funkyemzie that looks like your HCG is definitely rising then! I actually Amazon primed one as I was feeling paranoid last night. Hopefully will be able to do it tomorrow. I have long cycles so other way round for me, although I think we're probably within a day or two of each other. We're not getting an early scan, didn't last time and there's nowhere particularly convenient round here, plus they seem more expensive than in other places.

@OctoberGirl91 I don't think any of the bloods they do at booking are particularly date dependant so shouldn't be a problem to go early. Hopefully you'll get an earlier scan to help with dates.

After saying I hadn't been feeling much I've been dry heaving this morning and getting that pre sick watery mouth feeling. It has gone away now I've eaten half a loaf of bread though. Ugh. On the one hand I'm flexible of the reassurance, on the other I'm dreading it, I found it difficult last time and didn't have a 2 year old to manage then!

Ninunina · 29/12/2018 14:46

So after feeling confident after my scan on Thursday, I'm now worried again. I just saw some spotting after a BM (TMI). I haven't seen any in a while and they couldn't see any blood in the scan, so I thought I wouldn't see anymore.

I'm 9 weeks today, I had seen some spotting with DD1 at this stage, but I'm worried because there seemed to be some fresh blood mixed with brown and I'm feeling a little crampy.

Kcjoe · 29/12/2018 14:53

@Funkyemzie my lmp was 25th November do I'm a couple of days behind but my cycle is shorter. I have a copper coil in 🙄 it was fitted 3 days before I found out I was pregnant. So they keep testing my hcg levels to make sure they're going up. It started at 20 the day i found out I was pregnant ( I went to emergency gp in the evening because of having the coil in) then 101 two days later and then 270 on boxing day which was another 2 days. So they're definitely doubling as they should. Just got to have a scan on Monday to see where it's growing and to see where coil is in relation to it. Although I can still feel the strings so it should be in the right place. Then they'll take the coil out 😕 25% risk of miscarriage when they do. Fingers crossed we will be due around the same time! X

Funkyemzie · 29/12/2018 14:57

@Moncwf It's costing £59 for our scan but it's about 14 miles away from us. We live in the Midlands so have I have the choice of 2 hospitals to go to, both of them are about the same distance and they both do early private scans with outside companies.

It's both bad and good that you're getting a bit sickly now!

Funkyemzie · 29/12/2018 15:03

@Kcjoe that sounds terrifying for you lovely but im sure it will all be fine, I'll bet they encounter this alot and the good thing is that they're keeping a close eye on you.

So what is it that the coil is supposed to do, is it hormone based? I take it you weren't ttc at the time of having it fitted?

JenMumma · 29/12/2018 15:08

Hey 👋 Ladies
Unfortunately I miscarried yesterday at 9+4 so I'll duck out 😢.
Aghh Congratulations to all the new ladies I haven't yet said hi to!!! 🙂 🎉 🎈
Wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies and babies and hope you're all feeling ok 🙂🙂 Also if anyone doesn't think it's too morbid, I have a lot of baby stuff (unisex) which I will gladly send for free as there's no point in my OTT shopping addiction being in vain 🙄🙄🙂🙂🙂🌟🌟🌟 xX sending copious amounts of 🍰 🧁, poached eggs 🍳 🥚 and (non alcoholic) 🍷 🍷, Jenny x x

Kcjoe · 29/12/2018 15:19

@JenMumma I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 take some time out and look after yourself.

@Funkyemzie the copper coil is the non hormone version of the mirena. I came off the depo in July with the intention of us 'not actively trying but not preventing'. Then I was offered a new job so we decided a baby could wait a while. I did a test on the day it was fitted and it was negative but I knew something wasn't right a few days later. So I did the test. The copper coil can also be used as emergency contraception which is why they were concerned. But it looks like I conceived way before it was fitted but didn't show on the test on the day x

milly2000 · 29/12/2018 15:25

@JenMumma sorry to hear that, take care of yourself my friend xx

Funkyemzie · 29/12/2018 15:26

Aww Jenny, that's totally shit love, hope you're looking after yourself! I'm not getting any baby stuff until later on, with my first MC I brought loads of stuff, mostly maternity wear.

Could you not save it all for next time? I know how hard that can be though. The other options are either sell them or donate them to a local hospital? I'm sure there would be some less fortunate mums out there that would thank you.

Big virtual hugs sweet. Xxx

Funkyemzie · 29/12/2018 15:29

@Kcjoe oh I see. Good grief, that must have been a shocker for you eh?

So do they plan on taking it out on Monday too?

EverythingNow · 29/12/2018 15:46

@Jenmumma, so sorry for your loss, hugs to you xx

@Ninunina, can you call your doctor on monday and get it checked out?

OctoberGirl91 · 29/12/2018 15:52

@JenMumma So sorry for your news :-( take care lovely xx

avacadooo · 29/12/2018 16:06

@JenMumma I was thinking of you today and was going to ask how my poached buddy was doing. I'm so gutted for you, look after yourself!xxx

Ninunina · 29/12/2018 16:31

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news @JenMumma . Sending you lots of hugs.

@EverythingNow I will see if I get anymore spotting and will contact my doctor if it gets concerning. I'm trying to console myself that I saw a really strong heartbeat two days ago, but I guess anything can happen.

clairelee17 · 29/12/2018 16:41

@jenmumma I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Thinking of you xxx

Every day I get more anxious and apprehensive. I previously miscarried at 9 weeks and nearing that point on Wednesday when it's my booking in appointment, and now hearing poor @jenmumma situation and how far along she was, I'm starting to panic Sad

KMic · 29/12/2018 16:43

So sorry @JenMumma ...

@clairelee17 try not to worry, just remember that everyone is different and what will be will be xx
