I’ve been awake for an hour, I’m still a big kid and far too excited to sleep!
Wanted to be the first to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! ❤️
I hope those of you suffering get some relief from sickness ect today and you manage to enjoy it. Just think how different next Christmas will be for us all!

TwinkleDay · 25/12/2018 06:59

Been up for the past hour making cooked breakfast for OH off to work today and tommorow, now back in bed waiting for the others to arise whilst filling my basket at newlook.com got some great stuff on there guys.

Merry Christmas... the last one with silent nights 🥰 x

RoseBud2016 · 25/12/2018 08:08

Merry Christmas! Have a fantastic day everyone!

I’ve slept terribly with all night nausea but our 16 month old Daughter is still asleep..... unheard of!

StargazyDrifter · 25/12/2018 08:40

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Can't seem to get away from the nausea, but I'm determined it won't come between me and that turkey! Very true about the silent nights...

TheScaredyKat · 25/12/2018 08:52

Merry Christmas all! Hope you have days filled with fun, food and laughter.

@ememem84 not a Great Dane no, just a tubby cocker spaniel 😂

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 11:03

IT'S CHRISTMAAAAASSSSS!!!!

Happy Christmas everyone! Morning sickness can fuck itself. Living room is full of presents and wrapping paper. I'm too exhausted to even care. Have a great day ladies! Xxx

Onestep2 · 25/12/2018 11:46

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Good luck for all those telling families today!!!

We told DSD this morn and caught it all on video ❤❤❤ makes it all real now!!

Have the best day everyone xxx

ememem84 · 25/12/2018 20:22

Merry Christmas y’all.

I’ve indulged today in Christmas lunch, canapés, “no-secco” (thanks dsis!!!) trifle and I had a glass and a half of my fave bubbly. And a sip of the red I bought dh for Christmas.

Now sat on couch catface is on my lap, ds is in bed (he had zero naps today...) and I’m eating after eights. Successful day.

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 20:51

Good day here too! I've only really started getting sick now... Had a glass of half lemonade and half prosecco then read that it increases the chance of a second trimester miscarriage by 70%, wtf?! So that's kinda put me off... Grrr.

Trying2bemum · 25/12/2018 23:17

Merry Christmas all xx
Great news on positive scans xx

@Capybaras I get that pain too and it freaks me out a bit. I'm getting tummy pain from constipation and wind too. Lots going on in there!

@BirthdayKake my bump has popped out too the last few days. I'm only ten weeks tomorrow - is this a bit early?!

@RoseBud2016 that's wonderful, and good to know your clinic said that 😊

@FuzzyPixel plenty of time to get those pups ready. After trying so long it's hard to believe it's really happening isn't it xx

BirthdayKake · 25/12/2018 23:54

Trying2bemum hmm is it your first baby? Are you normally quite slim? I think those things can make a difference... I'll just be glad to find out if things are ok at the first scan and then I won't have to try to hide the bump anymore!

Capybaras · 26/12/2018 08:34

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Day! We told the rest of my OHs extended family and they were so pleased - was lovely!
My bump was big by the end of the day - the bloat from Christmas Dinner and lemonades didn't help!
Been looking in the sales this morning to see if I can see any good mat clothes - and I'm struggling. This may sound stupid but why is maternity wear so Mumsy? The only place I've found 'normal' clothes in a mat range are topshop and ASOS. Ordered some tights, bras, over the bump jeans and dresses so hopefully will keep me going for a while as I'm starting to struggle with my normal clothes now. Haven't been able to find any decent trousers for work yet!

TwinkleDay · 26/12/2018 08:50

@capybaras glad you had a lovely day as did we.

I have practically bought out new look they had lots of great stuff just hoping it fits well when it turns up.. going out sales shopping in a min.. please let me know if you find work trousers and also after some good mat jeans if you can recommend x

Trying2bemum · 26/12/2018 12:07

@BirthdayKake yep first baby and I'm usually a size ten. I think it's probably something to do with all the carbs and cheese I've been scoffing...

@Capybaras I've not bought anything but think the H&M maternity stuff looks nice

Trying2bemum · 26/12/2018 12:08

Not sure if this is a stupid question but with maternity clothes ... is it one size fits all with the changing bump situation? I'm thinking if I buy maternity jeans now they'd be massive no?

BirthdayKake · 26/12/2018 12:19

I know, I literally can't stop eating! I think maternity jeans would be quite big now tbh. I've never actually worn them before but I do have some ready for this time

Squ1ggle · 26/12/2018 13:17

You can get under bump ones. I preferred them in early pregnancy last time then moved to over bump later. Think my belly is just a bit too flobbly this time though

FuzzyPixel · 26/12/2018 13:20

@Trying2bemum you're so right, it is difficult to believe it's happening.

I am also struggling with my normal jeans (almost all of which are high waisted!!) but I am almost reluctant to start buying anything before the scan, which is a shame. DH has suggested looking in the sales for baby things but I can't quite bring myself to do it.

ememem84 · 26/12/2018 16:05

trying buy in your normal size otherwise the legs will be huge.

I’m trying to work out what I need to buy.

Last time I was ok with 2 pairs of jeans 2 skirts and a handful of tops.

Tip though. Maternity pants from jojo are great.

Squ1ggle · 26/12/2018 16:15

If you're planning on breastfeeding then it's worth looking at nursing clothes (tops and dresses anyway) because most of them are maternity and nursing so you don't do what I did last time and have the baby then suddenly realise that none of my clothes were easily boob accessible. I mainly wear leggings and dresses so I've just ordered some dresses in the jo jo sale

Onestep2 · 26/12/2018 17:22

Boohoo have a huge sale on and have loads of amazing maternity stuff. I've ordered quite a lot of floaty skater style dresses for work once bump is here. So hopefully that will do me for a good while

TwinkleDay · 26/12/2018 17:37

I have got some lovely bits in prep for Xmas next year for wigglebum, I love penguins so I have got some babygrows and tops with them on and some elf outfits in 3-6 months and 6-9 months as mum thinks I will be having a giraffe- OH is 6ft 7 and size 13 feet... even got some elf booties but in a 9-12 month lol

ohmybaby · 26/12/2018 17:51

Hi ladies, just checking in after a fair few weeks out the loop. Hope you’re all well and enjoying the festive season!

I’ve got my first scan on Friday and I’ll be 12+5 according to my calculations which obviously I’m guessing may change! Has anyone had their 12 week scan? If so, did your due date change by much?

StargazyDrifter · 26/12/2018 18:01

I've been too anxious to shop today, but might do after the 12 week scan.

ohmybaby mine is also on Friday - see you on the other side! 😉 I think there was another mummy-to-be on here with a Friday 12 week scan, too.

Seem to need to eat every few hours today to keep the sickness at bay. Fingers crossed this ends in a few days. 😐

AIDE2424 · 26/12/2018 18:48

Not sure what’s happening but I’ve began bleeding red blood and a few small clots sorry for TMI :( stuck at work at the minute until someone comes and takes me off in about a hour!
