I've also been on the carbs today - jacket potato for lunch and mash and veg for dinner.

Onestep2 · 27/11/2018 21:14

Just marking my space!!

Also one who had a carby dinner.... toast, toast and more toast. Another bread baby here!!

Followed quickly by a trip to toilet to heave!!

Got meds from doc today for acid reflux so fingers crossed they kick in soon

Jxtina86 · 27/11/2018 21:17

Living the carb life here too. Cheesy mash with a chicken Kiev for dinner (and some obligatory peas for balance) - it was the best!

cathyj87 · 27/11/2018 21:18

@softkitty28 and @SnailorSwift I'm in NI too! And this is my first pregnancy.
I have my first appointment on 27th Dec, should be around 12+ weeks and the letter said to allow 2 hours so I guess that's when they'll do all the questions, blood and urine and scan. I'm being sent to the Ulster but hoping to be Lagan Valley.
I have an early scan tomorrow after work that my mum has paid for, I've had pretty feeble symptoms so really hoping I've not somehow cheated 3 tests 🤣

ReginaPhalange89 · 27/11/2018 21:19

I had a pizza crunch for dinner followed by a Krispy Kreme donut and some other junk 🙈 the sooner my sickness kicks in the better 😂😂 I'm going to write out a meal plan for the next few days and try to stick to it , otherwise im going to just continue to binge 🙈

Twistering · 27/11/2018 21:28

Jacket spud for dinner here! Loads of butter, tuna mayo. Token bit of salad :)

HchyScott · 27/11/2018 21:30

I’m struggling so much with food aversions literally everything other than bread and grapes is turning my stomach. Haven’t been sick but feel nauseous a lot. So so hard when there is nothing at all I want to eat, really getting me down.

Softkitty28 · 27/11/2018 21:30

@cathyj87 nice to ‘meet’ you! Hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow, let us know how you get on Smile

Twistering · 27/11/2018 21:31

I’m going to be getting divorced soon too. DH just wandered upstairs (I’m still bloody working) with a plate of gorgeous looking stinky cheese and a glass of red wine!! Not that I particularly fancy it, but rub it in why don’t you!

Kentishgal · 27/11/2018 21:42

Ah Twistering that's cruel! I could definitely still eat some blue cheese - missed it more than alcohol last time!

GiGi18 · 27/11/2018 21:44

That is cruel @Twistering! my husband was drinking red wine the other night and it smelled so strong, I could smell it from across the sofa!

How we all gonna cope with the cheeseboards at xmas? 😭

Kentishgal · 27/11/2018 21:50

I know the NHS website says stilton etc are safe, but I just don't think I want to risk it because I think the worry would stop me enjoying it!

DianaBlythe · 27/11/2018 21:52

Thanks @frazzlerock for the new thread. I am finding it quite a comfort, you’re such a nice bunch!

For a scan at 8 weeks will probably be transvaginal but it’s much easier to quickly empty than quickly fill! I turned up for a pelvic scan with an empty bladder - I’d just forgotten. I hadn’t had breakfast or drunk anything and had just run a half marathon the day before (this was pre-pregnancy). I had to sit in the naughty corner with a big jug of water for ages. Took 5 goes before it was full enough and wasted an entire morning!

Welcome to the newbies Smile

AIDE2424 · 27/11/2018 22:07

I’m just watching the Emma Willis delivering babies and I’m so emotional 😢 how amazing are women and midwifes! xx

SnailorSwift · 27/11/2018 22:21

Likewise @Softkitty28

Awk hi @cathyj87 👋🏻 couple of us here then!
Hope your scan tomorrow goes well.

RooKangaroo · 27/11/2018 22:24

@Twistering, he should totally be buried under the patio for that. Like you, I couldn't stomach those things right now, but it's the principle of it!

MakeAWhish · 27/11/2018 22:30

@AIDE2424 I binge watched the Emma Wills programme recently - loved it! So emotional xx

MakeAWhish · 27/11/2018 22:33

Girls - can I talk bowels??? Yesterday I was slightly constipated, today, it's running through me like a (muddy) river. And a few days ago the same pattern... anyone else? And DP is shocked at my stinky man farts tonight 💨

RooKangaroo · 27/11/2018 22:37

Same here, @MakeAWhish. Mine can even vary throughout the day. It's quite a circus down there......

StargazyDrifter · 27/11/2018 22:49

Yup, me too. ☹️/

Meg1389 · 27/11/2018 23:01

@makeawish I’ve gone from loose to now constipated but my diet has really changed these last 2 weeks and not exercising so much so partly putting it down to that to?
Today I had a Starbucks cheese and ham toastie then a subway choc chip cookie. Loved every mouthful but think I need to start eating better!!

jaykaydee · 27/11/2018 23:04

Checking in.

@Meg I'm struggling to want to eat at all. I literally ate two sausages out of a casserole this evening. Not feeling sick but just not hungry. I feel guilty because I know I need to eat, I'm just not hungry past 1pm these past few days.

Meg1389 · 27/11/2018 23:11

@jaykeydee aww it is rare I have days where I fancy eating. Most days I do feel the same where I literally am just eating because I know I need to and I just tend to pick at bland things. But today the nausea had eased and it was nice just to fancy eating something. I did have a satsuma to try and balance it out haha. I tend to always have this horrid metallic taste in my mouth too which puts me off food.
I’m sure your appetite with return soon. Just try nibbling on crackers or crisps or something as I find if my stomach is empty the more sick and crappy I feel. Xx

StargazyDrifter · 27/11/2018 23:19

I also mostly have no appetite and make myself eat something, and a token bit of fruit every morning. It's so strange to not enjoy food, I'm usually a complete glutton. The only thing is still more or less like are Jaffa Cakes.

KinCat · 28/11/2018 01:18

Checking in to the new thread! I'm really tired but also sleeping very badly, just can't seem to get comfortable.

I'm getting so impatient for my first scan which will be in two weeks two days - I just want to know that everything is going ok!
