@Delilah so delighted for you, what a relief! X

I’ve just booked a private scan for tomorrow as EPU are taking too long getting back to me. I’m so scared. Literally can’t stop shaking.
I’m only going to be 6+1 so probably won’t see much I’m guessing? I just want to see a heartbeat though and make sure pregnancy is in the right place etc. I hope all is okay 🤞

hayleyfx · 29/11/2018 20:13

Omg 12.15 tomorrow my scan is, just confirmed. I feel sick with worry 😣

MakeAWhish · 29/11/2018 20:31

Thanks @BirthdayKake ! Xx

BettySwoll0cks · 29/11/2018 20:32

I think the main thing to remember is that by far the majority of pregnancies are absolutely fine. And of those that aren't, most conclude in the first trimester (and better earlier rather that later, by the way) which is why we'll inevitably have a concentration of early losses.
But above all, in most cases where something goes wrong there is absolutely nothing one could have done to prevent it. So all you can do is to take care of yourself and try to enjoy this completely magical process xxx

BettySwoll0cks · 29/11/2018 20:32

That's just my 2p worth anyway!

AIDE2424 · 29/11/2018 20:48

I’m so sorry to you both today my heart goes out to you!

@hayleyfx I have my scan tomorrow at 9.15 to rule out ectopic, I can’t keep still tonight with worry, my last scan the couldn’t see any sign of pregnancy but could see a small swelling on my tube but I have just had PID which they think could have caused to swelling. Keeping everything crossed it’s good news tomorrow 🤞🏻Xx

Jxtina86 · 29/11/2018 20:49

@TwittleBee & @BettySwoll0cks so sorry to hear your sad news today. My thoughts are with you both and your partners and wishing you all the very best whatever the future holds.

DianaBlythe · 29/11/2018 21:34

Loads of love to @BettySw0llocks, @frazzlerock @Twittlebee. This is unbelievably shit and sad. All my biggest wishes. Wine Flowers

MakeAWhish · 29/11/2018 22:11

Wise words @BettySwoll0cks . Thank you 😘😘

StargazyDrifter · 29/11/2018 23:37

Thank you for those much-needed wise words, Betty and very best of luck for all the scans tomorrow.

Just got home to find a letter from my maternity hospital inviting me to a 'birth reflections' clinic in January... any idea what that is?! I thought this was a post-birth thing some places offer. At my booking appt I was due a referral to the MH midwife and to a consultant to discuss possible c-section. Could this letter be for either of those? Googled the clinic codes and nothing comes up. All a bit of a mystery.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 30/11/2018 00:27

@StargazyDrifter I think they offer those to anyone who has had a traumatic birth before to take you through it all have a chance to go through your notes with a midwife, look at why there were certain interventions etc

Good luck @AIDE2424 and @hayleyfx for your scans today

Congratulations @Delilah7

AIDE2424 · 30/11/2018 03:16

This is the longest night ever waiting for my scan I can’t sleep, just keep tossing and turning 😩

Squ1ggle · 30/11/2018 05:31

So sorry to hear more bad news, so unfair to face that grief while still having symptoms.

I had my booking in appointment yesterday, or what I thought was my booking in appointment, turns out it was just a referral to get a bloody booking in appointment. Such a waste of time and now I feel like there's no chance at all of a scan before Christmas. I realise in the context of the thread recently it's a tiny thing to be annoyed about but u just feel like I'm not getting anywhere and my paranoia about twins is increasing every day along with my ever expanding belly

KinCat · 30/11/2018 05:50

Sorry TwittleBee and BettySwoll0cks even if you were expecting it doesn't make it any less shit.

I'm getting really paranoid that something is going to go wrong. Dreamt I had bright red bleeding last night and then there was some brown spots on loo roll this morning though I was very sleepy so didn't really look too closely at what it was and haven't had any more since. Two weeks to go until my first appointment...

jaykaydee · 30/11/2018 07:22

@TwittleBee and @BettySwoll0cks my thoughts and condolences for your losses.

@AIDE2424 and @hayleyfx wishing you all the best for your scans.

Really struggling with tiredness this week. I wish I could be taking naps when I get home from work like I did the first time round. Feeling slightly nauseous for the first time this morning, it hit me just before I got out of bed and again on the platform at the station, think it was someone's coffee I could smell but like a disgusting version.

StargazyDrifter · 30/11/2018 07:42

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken I should have also said that the mystery is I've never given birth! I will report back when I've been to this appt.

Feeling exhausted today and, for the second time in two weeks, full of cold. Everything hurts and I feel nauseous. Dreading work, cried off evening plans and already looking forward to an early night!

Belmo · 30/11/2018 07:47

I had my 8 week scan yesterday evening, (just one!) baby was measuring 5 days ahead with a lovely heartbeat. It was lovely, it was wriggling away and waving its tiny wee arms Smile

RooKangaroo · 30/11/2018 07:51

@StargazyDrifter, how strange! I also thought it would be talking about your birth last time, but if you haven't given birth before then.... I don't know... Maybe it's what they call the meeting to discuss your preferences/plan for this birth. Just with a weird name! 🤷🏼‍♀️

RooKangaroo · 30/11/2018 07:52

Yay, @Belmo, that's lovely news! So pleased for you x

RooKangaroo · 30/11/2018 07:54

Fuck me, I feel rough today. I can barely function. Genuinely wondering how I'm going to hold my job down when the sickness is this bad.

They're very nice and understanding at work, but how understanding can you be when I can barely do any work or function in the office? Last time I had this up to 22 weeks, and I can't just go off sick for that long.

Sorry, I sound so ungrateful. I just feel like I live in a cement mixer these days, going round and round and round 🤢

Belmo · 30/11/2018 08:00

Thanks RooKangaroo Smile
Poor you that sounds awful.
Remember that it is illegal for them to hold pregnancy sickness against you! I’d feel terrible too, but at the end of the day you can’t help it!

StargazyDrifter · 30/11/2018 08:09

Yay Belmo! Something very heart-warming about how you've desciribed the little arms. Aww.

Roo exactly. I will have to ring and see as would like to get my thoughts together ahead of whatever it is - I find my brain is just mush at the moment if I don't make a few notes in my phone of things to ask GP/MW.

Sorry you're feeling rubbish. It's really ok to take time for yourself, maybe some leave to make it a 4 day week until Christmas or something? Commiserations, it's horrid.

AIDE2424 · 30/11/2018 08:15

A hour to go, I feel sick with nerves 😩

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 30/11/2018 08:18

I'm so shocked and saddened by what so many of you ladies are going through. I can't imagine the pain you are all feeling. I really hope you are being looked after and cared for by your family and friends at this horrible time.

Delilah7 · 30/11/2018 08:40

@RooKangaroo I was struggling to. Go to the doctors I got some anti sickness tablets and I am much better! X
