The old thread got closed at 1000 posts, I'm not sure why. So I've started this new one. I hope you all find it ok. @Swisbest2 @OneMoreWish @frankiefumbles @Kisses4u @hayleyfx @Maydot @Jessabean

Not nice to hear others are suffering but nice to hear it's not just me. Back kills, leg hurts from cramp, tired, still feel abit sick and little bump is getting biiiig! Some lovely names on your lists. We've picked ours but are keeping it to ourselves x

kisses4u · 11/01/2019 16:19

Sounds amazing when a French person says it too @Jessabean 😆

dreaminofholidays · 11/01/2019 18:49

Love the names of everyone's lists.
I know what you mean @junex88 I don't want anyone else to feel rubbish but it is reassuring to know it is pretty normal. I thought I should feel pre-pregnancy energy wise but guess that doesn't make sense!
Better than the first trimester by a million miles though.
At 22 weeks still getting morning sickness so pretty much resigned myself to it staying for the duration.

A couple of people at work told me that baby shows are good for picking up discounts. We have booked to go the one at the excel so hoping to have my pram narrowed down or chosen by then so we can order on the day xxx

xJune88 · 12/01/2019 08:23

All the toddler and baby events are starting next week too girls so keep an eye out x

Pancakes7 · 12/01/2019 18:24

Yeah @xJune88 we're keeping our names secret but thought I'd tell you ladies on here. We're narrowed down to Isaac, Seth, Lucas and Oscar now I think. It's such a big decision. Feeling so happy and grateful to have this little baby on the way. I can't believe we've got here from how down I was last summer. Baby is kicking/wriggling so much atm. Laying on the sofa watching Jack and Dani lol. How amazing is the feeling when you feel your baby moving? Sorry just feeling really excited to meet our baby.

Aw lovely names @Pancakes7 will you make a decision or just wait to see what suits him? I'm so exciting!!! Wish I could just talk girl names with DH! It's getting frustrating having to keep talking boy and girl names. I have to be careful not to show too much enthusiasm and then have to be mega enthusiastic for boy names!!! Haha! Last week he thought it was a girl. Today he says boy as he thinks my bump is so big it's got to be a boy 😆
Least he's not on to me yet, only 18 more weeks to keep up this charade...

dreaminofholidays · 13/01/2019 08:24

@kisses4u I have no idea how you managing to keep it a secret. I would have failed long ago! Amazing effort. Are you secretly stashing pink purchases at home?
Is anyone else having a surprise?
It is very exciting @pancakes7. Starting to feel more and more movement now but looking forward to feeling the big movements later.

Off to the baby shop later this morning to look at prams. Taking my SIL cos she's brilliant at advice and will be able to see things we won't. Also my car so we can see which ones fit in there. Weve got two big dogs who travel in the boot when we all go out so I need a pram which I can fit in the car with us as if we didn't have a boot but it also needs to be sturdy to handle uneven surfaces on walks. Xxx

Pancakes7 · 13/01/2019 12:15

@Kisses4u I'm amazed you've managed to keep it a secret so far. I think I would accidentally say 'she' and give it away. Have you bought any girly pink things yet, or having to keep it neutral? @dreaminofholidays Good luck on the pram hunt. I hope you find a suitable one.

Think I'm a bit hormonal today. I just cried as my DH ate my monster munch lol 🤦🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
dreaminofholidays · 13/01/2019 22:56

@pancakes7 oh my you made me giggle. Did DH replace your monster munch?
We purchased the car seat and fitting thing today. There's an offer on at John Lewis and Mothercare on the pebble plus and the 2 way base. Usually would be £398 for the pair but got them for £294.
Think we've selected the pram too. Eeek. xxx

Pancakes7 · 14/01/2019 08:03

@dreaminofholidays He had a chocolate orange left from Christmas so gave me that to say sorry lol. Ooh we want the pebble car seat and base. I best have a look! Thanks for the tip.

OP posts:
Pancakes7 · 14/01/2019 08:07

@dreaminofholidays I can't see the offer on John Lewis? Can you please send a link?

OP posts:
Pancakes7 · 14/01/2019 09:51

Thanks so much for letting me know about the offer @dreaminofholidays got the car seat and base from JL plus Mum's discount! Got both for £217!

OP posts:
dreaminofholidays · 14/01/2019 12:41

@pancakes7 yay! Brilliant! Sorry I didn't see your earlier message but glad you found it. That's such a saving from £398 😁.
John Lewis went out of stock yesterday so ended up ordering from Mothercare, would have preferred to buy from John Lewis but I guess if anything is wrong with the seats it will be back to maxi cosi anyway. Shouldn't be though as they seem to be the one to buy. xxx

Pancakes7 · 14/01/2019 12:48

@dreaminofholidays Mothercare were out of stock of the base. John Lewis obviously better as I get discount. The base had only 1 left when I ordered. Just in time! Thanks so much again. I never would have spotted that.

Maydot · 15/01/2019 11:57

We got the pebble plus car seat and base from Mothercare, it came free with the pram we ordered! That’s all our big buys done now 😀

Pancakes7 · 15/01/2019 14:58

Oh that's good @Maydot feeling excited to get all these bits. But need house decorated before we can unpack and organise.

OP posts:
dreaminofholidays · 16/01/2019 12:50

@maydot that sounds like another brill deal
@pancakes7 are you updating the nursery or lots of places in your house?
Annoyingly there isn't a single NCT course for May babies where I can make all the dates so will have to miss one session x

Pancakes7 · 16/01/2019 13:06

@dreaminofholidays Doing the whole house. It needs it, we have been gradually doing it up. Lounge, hallway and landing were plastered and painted last year. They had to have walls skimmed due to taking off the dado rail, ceilings too as were the old swirly style. We are now getting spots in kitchen and bathroom, then all ceilings skimmed in all remaining rooms. So will be emptying rooms into our lounge and conservatory and sleeping in the lounge! Lol. Shame you'll miss one of the NCT sessions. Ours are all evenings and Saturdays.

Omg! I just saw baby moving my tummy for the first time. This might have happened before as I've felt movements since 17 weeks and 4 days. I'm now 22 weeks and 4 days. It was amazing my tummy was moving, mostly in one place every few seconds. Magical! I just wanted to tell someone as my DH is asleep.

xJune88 · 17/01/2019 06:30

Amazing @pancakes7 my little girl is kicking me now it really is amazing. Hubby felt her last night for the first time too! X

Pancakes7 · 17/01/2019 06:34

@xJune88 Aw lovely! I think my DH felt for first time at 20 weeks and 4 days just before our scan. So maybe we could have seen it then, just never watched my tummy before lol. It helped I was, lying down I think. Aw it's so amazing to think we have little babies in our tummies lol.
