The old thread got closed at 1000 posts, I'm not sure why. So I've started this new one. I hope you all find it ok. @Swisbest2 @OneMoreWish @frankiefumbles @Kisses4u @hayleyfx @Maydot @Jessabean

How’s everyone doing?
I’m feeling so big and heavy and constantly out of breath but loving how much movement I can feel!!!
2 weeks in to NCT course now too and the other girls are soooo lovely!!
Aaaaaaand only 5 weeks left at work!!!
I’m so excited!!!

kisses4u · 10/02/2019 08:46

Hi @Maydot glad to hear how close you are to finishing work! I still have until end of March, then I've taken April off as leave! So looking forward to that month to relax and prep for baby 😊
Good to hear you like your NCT gang! Three years on and I'm still very close to 3 of the mums in my group! We do lots together and in the first year saw each other loads! It really is a god send having a group like that!

How's everyone else doing? Lots of wiggly babies I hope!

xJune88 · 10/02/2019 08:49

Good thankyou @maydot wow that's so exciting, how far are you now? I've put my last day as 29th April (but finish on 16th have 2 weeks holiday) I'm so used to my bump now unsure it it has grown. I have my 28 week appointment next Wednesday for anti d and whatever else. Still having days of anxiety when she doesn't move but she soon starts popping out and kicking the hell out of me. Think I'm going to pay for a 4d scan just want to see her I love her already. Ordered nursery furniture and painted nursery too. (We had an extension so still ALOT to do no floors or skirting or anything) it's going so fast. Soz for long story haha how are you all xx

xJune88 · 10/02/2019 10:12

Bump has dropped massively too hope it's nothing to worry about 😔 will text midwife tomorrow for reassurance x

clairehr · 11/02/2019 06:32

Hi all, very late joiner as have been part of another pregnancy after loss group til now, but it's gone quiet.

I've had 2 MCs and a chemical pregnancy to date, and am now 39 +6 with our rainbow baby (team yellow). Due date tomorrow and I'm still terrified of something going wrong, but can't wait to meet this little person!

xJune88 · 11/02/2019 12:31

Congratulations and welcome @clairehr x

dreaminofholidays · 11/02/2019 22:23

Lots of lovely updates and welcome @clairehr. Congratulations and surely not long now until you are holding your little one. How are you feeling?
@junex88 how are you? did you talk to the midwife regarding your bump? sure it's all perfectly fine. 😊
@maydot how lovely, when are you due again? I felt so much pressure picking an NCT course, just imagine if I've chosen a group and it's a bad one or no one likes me. Ahh.

xxx

clairehr · 12/02/2019 06:36

Thanks for the welcome ladies! I hadn't had any signs of going into labour up until 9pm last night when I think I got my clear out, haven't been so sick since the very first weeks of this pregnancy (who knew sick could come out of your nose?!!). Keeping fingers crossed today is the day - A due date baby would be pretty cool.

How far along is everyone else? How's everyone feeling?

dreaminofholidays · 12/02/2019 18:34

@clairehr how are you feeling? any more signs? I didn't realise throwing up was part of it.

I'm 26+4, due 17th may. Still being sick but it has now reduced to maybe 4-5 times a week rather than daily. I'm totally crap at being pregnant but fortunately not long left at work now. yay

How is everyone else? xx

clairehr · 12/02/2019 21:20

@dreaminofholidays No more signs and an unsuccessful sweep today, looks like I'm in it for the long haul 😂

I do feel for you being poorly so far into the pregnancy, mine eased up about 22 weeks so I was quite lucky. It was the all day and night long nausea that made it unbearable too! When are you finishing work?

dreaminofholidays · 12/02/2019 23:14

@clairehr oh no, are you sure it wasn't successful? I don't know anything about these things but is it one of those things that just takes effect pretty quickly?

22 weeks is a long time to be sick too. I think that's worse with the nausea. I'm quite lucky on the nausea front generally. It will hit at some point, then I'm sick and 99% of the time its done for the day.

I finish work in 2 weeks, looking forward to time off to prepare for the baby and get it house sorted. xxx

clairehr · 13/02/2019 10:03

@dreaminofholidays Definitely not successful, only 1cm dilated and had no show or anything, baby is stubborn like his/her parents 😂

Ah not long to go now until you can get yourself prepared then, how exciting! I think that was the big countdown for me, gave me something to aim towards that wasn't baby's due date!

Maydot · 13/02/2019 12:00

@dreaminofholidays & @xJune88 I’m 33 weeks now!!... And only 4 weeks left at work after this week!
@clairehr How did you find the sweep? I’ve heard mixed opinions of them and can’t decide if it’s something i’ll Have if I go over my due date and get offered it or not.

clairehr · 13/02/2019 12:15

@Maydot The sweep was uncomfortable, but not painful at all (although have been told that I have a very high pain threshold).

I decided to go for it as baby needs to be out before Sunday if I don't want induction, so this was a last attempt to tempt them out.

Unfortunately the sweep was unsuccessful for me as my body obviously just isn't ready for birth. The positive stories I've heard have been when ladies are already 2-3cm dilated, so I think if your body is prepared for labour already they're great to get things moving further, just in my case unfortunately baby has put up the shutters 😂 I'd do it again though, it certainly hasn't put me off.

xJune88 · 13/02/2019 12:36

Hope you have your baby sooner rather than later! @clairehr
@maydot wow not long left at all now!! Exciting.
@dreaminofholidays didn't speak to midwife as day after bump seemed rounder again I'm positive she's moved as she kicked under my ribs before and now I feel movements extremely low down she's scaring me atm and I'm struggling with anxiety majorly atm. Trying to get in for a private scan this week/weekend x

Maydot · 13/02/2019 13:56

Thanks @clairehr, nice to hear it’s not always an awful experience, I really hope things get moving for you this week!!
Sorry you’re feeling so anxious @xJune88, have you tried going to maternity assessment for some monitoring? Might put your mind at ease x

xJune88 · 15/02/2019 21:55

No didn't go for monitoring she's done it before and I thought she was just having a lazy day (I was right a few hours later she was battering me) been for a 3d scan tonight was amazing defo recommend. Love her so much already.

dreaminofholidays · 17/02/2019 09:56

@junex88 aww she's yawning. So sweet.
I sometimes feel movements very low too. I ended up going to ADAU yesterday, hadn't felt the baby at all yesterday morning. It had also been quieter the evening before but I was shattered after a ridiculously stressful and long work at week. Everything was absolutely fine, baby even did an almighty kick while the midwife was using the Doppler. Then in the afternoon the baby was kicking away like mad so guess it was just one very big sleep! x

kisses4u · 17/02/2019 15:48

Wow @xJune88 she's a beauty!!! Amazing how much you can see! Love it! I had a 3D scan at 18 weeks and it's incredible how much of baby you can see then too! I doubt I'll have another one now. I think I've spent enough 😆
@Maydot not long for you now! So nice to look forward to some relaxation and preparation time!
@clairehr sorry the sweep didn't seem to work! I had 2 or 3 attempted sweeps before my induction with my first. Your body does need to be a bit ready for labour. My cervix was having none of it! But try not to worry about an induction. The pessary they give you can work super quick for some ppl! My friend had her son 5 hours after the pessary!
I had mine put in then went for a walk and played crazy golf with my mum! Was funny as I started to get heavy period like pains while playing! Which was the start! 😆 the main thing is to get baby out and safely so wishing you lots of luck! Have you tried any of the wives tales? Raspberry leaf tea etc?!

kisses4u · 17/02/2019 15:54

@dreaminofholidays glad you went to be assessed! It's frightening when baby doesn't move for a long time isn't it! I was super worried the other day myself! Then I'll have days where she doesn't stop wriggling! I prefer the very wriggly days! My bump is super low down this time, with my son it was high up under my boobs. I feel most movements in my groin area with my girlie! Bit awkward when ppl ask to feel as I have to put their hand uncomfortably close to my bits 😆

xJune88 · 18/02/2019 08:04

Yeah I've defo spent enough on scans now too 🙈 felt her so much since though it's been lovely feel like I've bonded with her more. She's head down and measuring good (after worries of twins or a whopper) haha. 28 week app on Wednesday and been buying more things. Nursery gets delivered today too yay. Hope you're all ok xx

xJune88 · 20/02/2019 08:25

Anybody else starting nesting?! Probably doesn't help that I follow Mrs hinch. My house has never been so clean and organised, ever. All cupboards wardrobes and drawers even sorted haha. Nursery hasn't even got skirting boards mind. Going to get that done over the weekend and then flooring can be put down and wallpaper. Furniture is ready to be assembled then will add finishing touches. Getting very real now! X

dreaminofholidays · 23/02/2019 13:22

@junex88 the urge is definitely there to organise everything. Work continues to be ridiculous so I got a nice notepad and started a list of everything I want to get done.
Then my dog shredded my list, I was dispportionately upset about it. So I'm going to start again this weekend.
I need to get involved with Mrs hinch. I started following but haven't watched any of the videos yet. My friend loves it and has accumulated a big supply of zoflora. 😂 x

xJune88 · 23/02/2019 13:37

@dreaminofholidays I always judged her and her followers but I am now a hincher. Crazy how much I clean now and my cupboards are so organised! Hoping to get nursery skirting boards on today then we can get floor down and wallpaper on! 6 weeks 4 days left at work for me!! X

Pancakes7 · 23/02/2019 17:38

Hi Everyone, Sorry I've not logged on for a while. I'm glad you're all doing well @xJune88 and @dreaminofholidays I'm wanting to nest. I've gone through babies bits and sorted. But house is all over the place still with DIY going on. We're currently sleeping with our bed in babies room, while we decorate ours. It's a tight squeeze lol. @Kisses4u I'm the same lots of movement down there lol. He's been head down at all scans, so I think it's his hands and head. I do get kicks higher up too though. They're becoming higher now and more regular. I'm now 27 weeks and 5 days. So 3rd trimester starts Monday. Excited to be getting near the end now. I'm very uncomfortable. My suspected sciatica is actually my ligaments. GP referred me for urgent physio which is on 4th March. Pain is now in my pelvis, so got pgp i think it's called. So waddling atm and having to rest alot. Ribs ache sooo much too. It's like bump is really low but also really high lol. Ok running out of space! I'm so happy and excited still though. So definitely all worth it! 28 week MW appointment Monday. Eek bloods again!
