Thanks for your response @Footymum81 I rang the midwife and she said everything will be fine and that passing out wouldn't have affected baby. Was just from all the vomiting! Blergh! At home on the sofa now! Isn't this being pregnant malarkey fun at times :P xx

notasnowploughoratiger · 20/11/2018 18:07

Thanks for replies - 🤞 for reassuring movements regularly soon!

Since I posted I have had a few more feelings that I am more confident to say was movement.

Hopeislost · 20/11/2018 18:34

Congratulations on everyone that's feeling movements. 19 weeks here and not even a flutter. I thought I felt something the other day, but it was just wind Blush

MigMog · 20/11/2018 20:25

@hopeislost me too. 19 weeks and 2 days and nothing yet. Can't wait to feel it though.

Well jealous of you all!

Treaclepie19 · 20/11/2018 21:24

Same. Nothing here either!
I'd really appreciate feeling him after having the amnio.

OP posts:
sodababy2 · 20/11/2018 22:04

I've been feeling flutters since 16 weeks ish but with my first I didn't feel anything til after 20 weeks.

How did the amino go @Treaclepie19 - when do you get the results?

Treaclepie19 · 20/11/2018 22:06

@sodababy2 he did it fairly easily despite having to go through lots of placenta because it's anterior.
It was more painful than I expected and I'm very achey. Results will be back within 2 weeks. I just hope baby is ok.
Thanks for asking xxx

OP posts:
sodababy2 · 20/11/2018 22:10

Sorry it was painful @Treaclepie19, hope you're getting a chance to rest up. If you've got an anterior placenta that's possibly why you haven't felt much movement yet.

Treaclepie19 · 20/11/2018 22:12

@sodababy2 thank you :) Yeah it will be, it's just so frustrating when I want to know he's ok.
I think I was just a wimp with the pain.. I'm not normally but I was very worried.
My husband is looking after us all so I can rest :)

sodababy2 · 20/11/2018 22:16

Yeah I can totally imagine you just want to feel him wriggling around.

Glad your DH is looking after you. Enjoy some sofa time! Everything crossed for your results xx

jellybeann · 21/11/2018 22:20

this is a bit of a weird one, but i don’t feel pregnant anymore? i didn’t really start feeling pregnant until about 20 weeks. my bump grew like crazy in the space of 2/3 days and i felt my first bits of baby’s movement. now all of a sudden at 21+1 i literally feel like my bump is gone and i no longer feel pregnant? baby’s movements aren’t consistent yet either so haven’t really felt her today either :( do we think it’s anything to worry about? i’m probably being silly, but i am a big worrier! Xx

Griffer · 22/11/2018 22:23

Hi Jellybean, have you felt anything today? I've been feeling really strong movement most days, then some days nothing.
Always phone the midwife if you are worried.
21+2

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 23/11/2018 07:42

@jellybeann I’m almost 20 weeks and have days like that. This is no.2 and I expected movements earlier and although I have had some they’re not consistent at all and although I definitely have pregnant belly I think to most I just look fat (well fatter!) and some days it looks bigger than others. It shouldn’t be long before it changes again and then we’ll all be huge and uncomfotable and wishing we were back to this stage!

Buttons28 · 23/11/2018 13:00

Is anyone doing any Black Friday shopping?

SPR1107 · 23/11/2018 17:07

Saving myself for Boxing Day instead of today.

Will have had 20 week scan by then, and then it's the long wait from 20 - 40, so something to occupy myself!

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 23/11/2018 17:53

We don’t actually have much to buy as we have most of DS bits, also 20 week scan isn’t till Monday so reluctant to buy anything much before then. There are definitely bits around though, mamas and papas have a few bits as do John Lewis. Worth checking out if you fancy a bit of shopping!

Hopeislost · 23/11/2018 22:07

Like @SPR1107 we're waiting for the January sales. I'm too anxious about my 20 week scan next week to contemplate buying any baby stuff!

jellybeann · 25/11/2018 17:41

thanks @griffer @ChocolateChipMuffin2016, have had lots of strong movement the last few days!

we're waiting until january sales to do some shopping. we've already had our 20 week scan, but don't want to do everything really early and then have months of just waiting for baby with nothing exciting to do!!

Footymum81 · 28/11/2018 20:12

Had our repeat scan today, little man was behaving himself this time so we got a nice picture and the sonography was able to complete all checks. She also measured his growth from last time and plotted it on a graph... his femur and body measurements were just below the line but his head circumference is a bit above! So now worrying about giving birth to a giant headed baby (DH has a big head, one size fits all hats don’t fit him!)

SPR1107 · 28/11/2018 21:18

Glad all is well @Footymum81! Haha I remember worrying about a similar thing with my last baby, and the difference was so minimal in real life.

If it makes you feel any better, I had my scan yesterday and the length is measuring a whole week ahead and the weight two weeks ahead! So looks like I'm in for a toddler at birth!

Got to go back for a second one though as baby was in a funny position so couldn't get the checks done

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 29/11/2018 12:18

We had our 20 week scan earlier this week. A healthy little boy, nice and wriggly! A boy means we get a lot more second hand items and hand-me-downs.

My nephew is 15 months and we have a 1yr old godson as well as other friends with boys. We won't need to buy much.

We did do our first bit of shopping, probably the only items we'll buy new (Black Friday sales). A new mattress for a second hand travel cot, and a new car seat. Very pleased and slightly daunted to have a car seat in the house.

We went for the Besafe iZi Go infant seat, and it arrived yesterday.
We wanted a light-ish, lay flat one with an isofix base and belt fixings too, that will fit with our second hand pram.

We had our scan today. Baby is measuring the right size and it's got all its parts. What a relief. It was wiggling away in there and looking super cute playing with its fingers.

Rosalind22 · 29/11/2018 17:42

So lovely to hear about all the scans going so well! Glad all the little ones are cooking away nicely!

Super quick question - I am run down and have now acquired a cold sore Sad I have applied the smallest amount of Zovirax but wanted to check whether anyone has used cold sore cream in pregnancy before? It says on the leaflet to check with midwife but online people seem to be saying it's okay to use?

SPR1107 · 29/11/2018 18:44

I've had one twice this pregnancy @Rosalind22 and used it both times and had no issues

FrazzyAndFrumpled · 29/11/2018 19:41

So lovely to hear the scan news Smile

I’m sure acyclovir is safe to use in pregnancy. I’ve used a lot of it in this pregnancy and in my last pregnancy, no sign of any problems. Maybe ask a pharmacist?
