Hello there,

A new thread for those who are due in June 2019. The Early bird catches the worm! Or, in my case, the sickness.

Feel free to introduce yourselves and make yourself at home.

I'm Sarah, 28, and currently super-early into my pregnancy at 3+1. This will be my second child, and I have in the past, and currently still do, suffer from HG (severe morning sickness).

So come one, come all, let us start our journey with sticky thoughts! Welcome, to the June 19 bus!

@OrcinusOrca since I got my bfp I've read almost 3 books! I never read books but I had to do something to pass the time I was spending googling every twinge. It has helped a lot.

Napssavelives · 11/10/2018 05:46

@OrcinusOrca I’ve got back ache too and I’m 4 + 4. Youngest son woke me up last night and I couldn’t get back off, couldn’t get comfy as hips and back were so achy. I’m so tired

Stormwhale · 11/10/2018 07:11

I got this this morning so I'm feeling a little bit reassured. I'm not sure why I'm so sure something is going to go wrong. I wasn't like this with dd at all!

@OrcinusOrca I have to admit I'm a silent stalker of the yammers thread 😳🙈 and I am soooo glad to see you on here! I hope you don't mind me saying. Congratulations hun x

I have an early scan this morning at 6+3. Trying to keep myself busy until then, I'm so nervous!

rollerskaterdata · 11/10/2018 08:00

@Stormwhale yaye! X

MadeInCornwallx3 · 11/10/2018 08:19

@Stormwhale that's brilliant! Do you feel a bit better?

Good luck this morning @rollerskaterdata let us know how you get on!!!

Ps - what's yammers thread? 🙈

jacquejacque · 11/10/2018 08:27

@Stormwhale oh that's amazing; you must feel such relief - I think a lot of us feel like something will go wrong, so you're not on your own!

@rollerskaterdata hope it goes well! Will check back later to see how you got on Thanks

Torsz · 11/10/2018 08:31

I had my early scan today, all good and they put me at 7 weeks exactly! Cried my eyes out 😂🤗

Kescilly · 11/10/2018 08:39

How wonderful @Torsz! I’m so happy for you!

rollerskaterdata · 11/10/2018 08:40

Thanks ladies. I'll check back in afterwards and let you all know how I got on.

@Torsz congrats hun, that's great news! I'd love to be put ahead to shorten my first trimester but honestly will just be happy to be on track!

@MadeInCornwallx3 it's just one of the threads in conception. I follow quite a few, I like seeing other people's journeys it makes me feel a part of something bigger 🙈 cheesy I know!

@OrcinusOrca I forgot to say earlier that cramping is completely normal, try not to worry. I had it with DS and he's a very healthy nearly 4 year old now. I'm having it on and off with this baby too and even though I know it's normal my over cautious (but excellent) GP has sent me in for this scan. I don't mind, means I get to see baby early!

AnitaPage · 11/10/2018 08:42

@Stormwhale glad you’re reassured, I had to do another test yesterday as well just to see if it was real!
I called the number for making a midwife appointment on Tuesday and left a message but they still haven’t got back to me.
I’m starting to feel quite queasy and had tr most horrible bout of diarrhoea last night but also want to eat uncontrollably for once I start. What the hell is going on?! Shock

Torsz · 11/10/2018 08:42

Thanks ladies ☺️ it only took a day off (!) as I was 6+6 but just relieved as I thought they'd either make it less (and have a longer wait), or more (which would mean I was further along during a heavy week in Ibiza!) 😂

MadeInCornwallx3 · 11/10/2018 08:50

@rollerskaterdata Oh I see! I can understand that, I like seeing people's journeys too and so happy to have you here @OrcinusOrca !

Yay @Torsz ! I bet that was amazing. I have to wait forever for my early scan - 3rd Nov.

Also another one always terrified, I've never poked my boobs so much 😂 Swear they hurt a bit less today. 😭

KoalasAteMyHomework · 11/10/2018 08:51

Hello! Joining in too if thats ok!

Got my BFP Sat after about 10 months, am still in shock! Think I'm 4+5. 2nd baby, DS is 3.5yrs. Got a very strong positive on the tests (was 4 days late when I got a BFP with DS so am surprised) and cycles have been irregular so guess I won't know for definite until I have a scan but EDD is 15th June. My frst midwife appt is 2nd Nov at 8 weeks.

@BLM18 did you have scan Tues? Hope you're ok x

fee1234 · 11/10/2018 08:59

Writing this from the toilets at work as my morning sickness has truly kicked in 🤢 don't know how I'm going to last the day at my desk.

Stormwhale · 11/10/2018 09:01

I do feel a bit better. It helps that I'm super nauseous this morning too. I need to make a lamb casserole in the slow cooker but I'm worried I'm going to heave!

@torsz - fantastic news that your scan went well! Did you see the heartbeat? I will be having mine at 7+1, and really hope I see the heartbeat.

@rollerskaterdata - good luck this morning! Can't wait to hear how you get on.

@MadeInCornwallx3 - I'm glad I'm not the only one who is crazy terrified. It makes me feel less like I have gone insane.

KoalasAteMyHomework · 11/10/2018 09:16

@fee1234 urgh morning sickness sucks. I used to carry a bag of snacks everywhere and sneak them at my desk haha. Have already stocked up on ginger biccies!

Torsz · 11/10/2018 09:18

@Stormwhale yes, she said she wouldn't say anything until she was certain of everything, then she had a look for about 5 seconds and was happy it was all okay! It was about 7mm and a strong heartbeat ☺️☺️☺️

hexagon01 · 11/10/2018 09:43

In my last pregnancy I had constant nausea but was only actually sick a couple of times. I think I’d rather have the relief of actually throwing up this time...

How exciting to have a happy healthy early scan. I’m only just 4 weeks so even being able something like that seems forever away!

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 09:56

Ahhh thanks for all the lovely welcomes! Especially @rollerskaterdata Smile

Whilst I am now a yammer graduate, the yammer hat is a very hard hat to wear. It has probably contributed to my current state of anxiety about something going wrong. It feels like a huge journey to get here, but so many ladies still have a far longer and more painful journey than I do. Still got early AF type cramps, but nothing to show for them thankfully. Hopefully they will ease off but I'm sure that will make me panic too!

I'm trying to take each day as it comes, have considered an early scan but so much of what I read says it can be a bad idea (would be going private as no medical reason NHS wise to need one I don't think). Is anyone going for an early private scan?

Congrats to all Thanks

jacquejacque · 11/10/2018 10:00

Hi and welcome @OrcinusOrca Smile I am having a private scan on 27th Oct, I've had two very early losses in a row and my anxiety is bad at the best of times so the scan is important to me - even if it ends in bad news. I think I'd rather know earlier than later.

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 10:04

@jacquejacque goodness I don't blame you at all. How far along will you be?

I have seen a few people say that a private clinic is a really bad place to hear bad news, and that they often give incorrect information and so on. So that made me think oh dear definitely best avoid it then! But I've also seen that if you see a heartbeat post 8 weeks your risk is sooooo teeny...

OrcinusOrca · 11/10/2018 10:04

Also, is anyone else failing miserably to concentrate at work?! I'm working from home today, reallyyyyy need to find some motivation!

hexagon01 · 11/10/2018 10:12

@OrcinusOrca I had a private scan at 9 weeks last time as I was driving myself crazy with anxiety. It did help me but I’m glad I didn’t have it earlier, and it obviously would have been a different story if it had been bad news. It really helped keep me sane until my 12 week scan though. I think if I’d had it earlier than 9 weeks I would have been worried that something had gone wrong in between. It’s a really difficult one.

hexagon01 · 11/10/2018 10:14

To add to that, I’m hoping my mental health is a bit better this time so I don’t need to have an early reassurance scan, unless I have any issues that need checking.
