Bloody hate pregnancy fingers I can't type 😂. He has tantrums when we say that* the baby will be called our first choose name.

justtowarm · 14/08/2018 10:04

That was even supposed to say fat pregnancy fingers 🙈

Filzma · 14/08/2018 11:06

Lol @justtowarm 2yr olds and their opinions.🙈 Glad most of you have settled on a name. We have 2 names so far and hoping we agree soon.

@unicornchaser everything seems to have settled down thankfully. I really have been resting through out so that may be contributing to it. Hoping it stays this way. 🙏

It's mid August! Can you believe how fast time is flying??? Before we know it, babies will be here.

unicornchaser · 14/08/2018 15:08

Fingers crossed for you @Filzma!

We just keep referring to baby as 'pumpkin' so need to make sure that doesn't end up just sticking! My nephew was known as the boy in his house as he has two sisters. When he went to nursery they had huge tantrums as e didn't want to be known as his real name and only as the boy 😆

Def think girls names are easier, we had several names for a girl till we found out it was a boy!

I know, getting my pram yesterday brought he reality and that really, the babies could all start appearing over the next few short weeks!

@Filzma I'm just glad really that my little one has stopped suggesting his pre-school managers name or his little friends name 😂

It really does suddenly feel very close! Im seeing the consultant every 3 weeks (next time on Thursday) due to the probs I had early on and because I had pre eclampsia last time. They have found I have high pressure in the cord and said it might mean they induce early.... it's making me panic a bit that I won't have everything ready (even though I know they wont do anything until 37 weeks realistically).

So I'm washing all the baby clothes I've had stored in the loft today! (And the girly bits I've bought so she doesn't just wear neutral hand me downs all the time 😂)

I'd forgotten how tiny all the newborn stuff is!

Penguina · 14/08/2018 15:49

Oh god the name thing is impossible for boys. I really don’t like most boys names and find them much harder to name than girls. Typical we’re having a boy!

Flamingo19 · 14/08/2018 16:03

How long was it before you got your results back? For those of you that have been tested for GD. Had my whooping cough vaccine today too!

justtowarm · 14/08/2018 19:53

@Flamingo19 I had mine back the next day at a midwife appointment. They said someone would call within 24 hours of the test if I had GD. I didn't have it so they didn't call but the result were there the next morning for the midwife to see.

Flamingo19 · 14/08/2018 19:55

She did say if I hadn’t heard by this evening I can assume I don’t have it, haven’t had a call yet. Fingers crossed it’s good news, seeing the midwife Thursday anyway so I’m sure she can confirm then. Thank you Smile

TinyTerror1 · 14/08/2018 21:39

Yeah I got a call the same day. Looks like good news for you then Flamingo :)

Last time when I bought baby things I bought a hat in 0-3 months and joked in the shop that I hoped it wouldn't have a head that big. The hat didn't fit 😫

unicornchaser · 14/08/2018 23:46

Oh don't get me started on the head fear! OH has a massive head which runs in his family so step son also has this. Terrified now but keep telling myself that as I have a wee head then maybe, just maybe the baby won't have such a huge head as his dad and brother haha

I don’t mean to be dramatic but my arm is SO SORE from my WC vaccine. It kept waking me up, I feel like I’ve been hit by a car. DH says I’ve got to give birth to a baby soon and it will be much worse than this. Although I do feel like with that, I get my baby at the end Grin This is just an annoying constant heavy pain

Havetothink · 15/08/2018 07:25

It'll get better gradually, the heaviness I think went after a couple of days then it's sore where they did it for a week or two (that was how it went for my first one anyway).

unicornchaser I hoped the same thing as I can wear kid size hats but dd took after dh (head on the 90th percentile). Thank God I had the epidural before the episiotomy. Back to back may have exacerbated the problem though, I'm sure you'll be fine ☺

Flamingo19 · 15/08/2018 12:24

Very strange I had a phone call from a No Caller Id, automated voice saying it was ‘my local hospital name nhs patient something’ press 1 if I was “insert my name here” I pressed 1 and it then went quiet and said there was a technical difficulty. Am quite worried have called midwife liaison office but they said not to worry and it was odd and someone would call back Hmm

justtowarm · 15/08/2018 13:03

@Flamingo19 hopefully they will get back to you soon! I would be very tempted to call back if you don't hear soon, just to stop any worry :)

Flamingo19 · 15/08/2018 13:08

Thank you, they did my 28 week bloods too so I’m hoping they’re going to tell me about my low iron which I was already aware of, rather than GD. I don’t want to be a pain but I really am quite anxious

justtowarm · 15/08/2018 13:58

I would phone again, it will take someone 5mins to look up the results on the computer, and anxiety isn't good for anyone especially pregnant ladies :)

Flamingo19 · 15/08/2018 15:58

I phoned again, they suspect it’s a ‘survey’ call that some people get from time to time after having an NHS appointment. Glucose test was normal, so very happy. But they couldn’t tell me the results of the bloods, but I’ll find out on Friday Smile

justtowarm · 15/08/2018 16:24

That's a relief, so glad you called again rather than worrying (I know I would have been anxious until I had found out what it was) Smile

Havetothink · 15/08/2018 20:25

Getting lots of low movement and pressure from baby today, it's definitely dropped, really does feel big already.

twobambinos · 15/08/2018 20:54

That's a relief @flamingo19

@havetothink maybe baby is getting ready for the big day. Mine hasn't dropped and is really up high under my ribs. It feels very heavy in my pelvis now when I stand up and I think I had a few braxton hicks last night for the first time and this is my 3rd.

On the positives we have one name that we are OK with i think. But the search continues for now.

How is everyone feeling

nervousFTM · 15/08/2018 21:12

Can I join (very late!) please fellow October mums? Due 21st with a surprise 💖💙 found out baba is measuring on 95th centile and neither me or hubby are particularly big (5.5 and 5.9 fitness nuts). WTH!

Lovely to meet you all 😄

Havetothink · 15/08/2018 21:25

Hi nervousFTM my first measured in the 90th percentile on the chart the whole time and I'm only 5'4" dh is 5 '7". She was born at 8lb 4 (73rd percentile) so not huge but big enough for sure.
