Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

@welshweasel I think it was mentioned but I don't think it was set up.

I'm just thinking if someone sets one up perhaps call it something random so that our friends can't see us joining a group! I haven't told anyone yet! Might be a bit obvious if I join a group called 'Feb 2019 mummies' haha!

Cheery1 · 16/07/2018 22:16

@notquiteagandt so glad you got some reassurance and saw that little bub wriggling. So sorry about your lost twin. As lots of ladies have said - very bittersweet.

I can’t keep up with this thread either but it’s great trying to keep up and reading everyone’s news. Apologies if miss lots of what’s going on! Personally, I quite like the anonymity of here for the moment. Facebook might be better a bit further down the line maybe....

Since2016 · 16/07/2018 22:16

@DragonFlew there's definitely one set up. I'm not on it but I'm sure others are so hopefully someone can link you.

I was on the Jan 2016 one for my DD but not on Fb anymore.

FrowningFlamingo · 16/07/2018 22:45

@powkin I have hypermobility and have a few worries about it, especially SPD. Mine has been not too bad for the last couple of years so I’m really hoping it will be ok.
I will have a section because of hip issues related to the hypermobility so plan to discuss about anaesthetics with the anaesthetist - I’m not sure if it would impact on an epidural or not. Local does work on me though, just slowly.

hayley013 · 16/07/2018 23:08

@Notquiteagandt hope you're ok, sad news about twin but glad baby doing well in there.

@Leonora94 yeah I get the sharp twinges when moving fast or sneezing.

@DragonFlew I'd book ASAP, my booking appt was 3 weeks from when I put the forms in as it's a busy clinic.

It's £2 per photo at our hospital.

I'd join a fb group only if it was set to 'secret' so I know no one can see me joining or anything to do with it etc. You can only be added by someone in the group and you can't search for it xx

powkin · 16/07/2018 23:43

Horribly sick this evening. First proper vomit after 2 solid weeks of nausea so almost feels better to be honest, if only temporarily.

I’m not on Facebook so wouldn’t be able to join a group :(

Leonora94 · 17/07/2018 07:17

Phew glad I’m not the only one re sharp

Leonora94 · 17/07/2018 07:19

Sorry pressed post to soon! I’m not on Facebook but I think the group will slow down eventually...first trimester is exciting/terrifying so there’s lots to write about!

UndercoverLauren · 17/07/2018 09:02

I really don't trust FB, even if it's a secret group. I'd hate my family to find out by FB announcing that I'd joined!
I'd be up for joining the group further down the line though :)

AliceRR · 17/07/2018 09:13

DH: do you feel sick today?
Me: no just weak and tired
(2 minutes later)
Me: (running to the bathroom) I’m going to be sick!

Does anyone else get sponganeous urges to be sick without nause? I think I’d rather just throw up than be sick all day...

I would maybe FB group later but not at the moment

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/07/2018 09:48

The nausea gets to me far more than the sickness does.

I feel like death warmed up today, I’ve had to usual nausea and throwing up before work (made it here on time today though 👌) but I’m struggling to walk normally, I’m getting some really sharp twinges in my lower abdomen/uterus/bowel (?) that proper hurt 😩 actually couldn’t wait to get to work just for a sit down!

Pharmacy wouldn’t sell my DP any lactulose yesterday so I’m going to go and later done later today.

I just want to sleep 😩😩

AliceRR · 17/07/2018 10:13

@Notasgreenascabbagelooking exactly that’s what I meant. Would rather be sick than feel sick all day. Don’t feel too nauseous today but so weak! My body feels weak and tired.

It’s only 10 o’clock...

Do you think you should speak to someone about your pains?

I’ve had a stomach ache (bowel type pain) today - I’m either constipated or the opposite!

Alicejj8x · 17/07/2018 10:46

Sickness struck this morning but Banana is by far the best to bring up lol!!

Feeling more normal now and less zombie like

Alicejj8x · 17/07/2018 10:46

And also agree to not wanting to do a FB group just incase ppl
Found out x

Baby160P · 17/07/2018 11:06

Random one.

Does it matter how faint the line is on a HPT?

I'm being paranoid, had a early scan last Monday and all was fine.

Yesterday my symptoms went and boobs not so sore.

Had a panic.

Did another test today and the line doesn't look that strong.

I need to look at my other ones when I get home to see if they're different or if I'm going anxiety crazy!!!

Celebelly · 17/07/2018 11:10

Will probably be the hook effect. Dilute your urine if you do another. At around 6 weeks, tests often get lighter as they aren't designed to handle the different compound of HCG that gets produced further along in pregnancy.

Fredthespider · 17/07/2018 11:11

I’m the same as a few other posters with the no FB just yet, maybe after 20 weeks, but we won’t be ‘announcing’ anything on FB at any point as I like to keep things a little private.

With the sickness I think I need to switch to evening showers/baths as I’m getting into a routine of being sick after I get out of them in the morning. I usually haven’t eaten at that point so there isn’t anything to throw up!

@notasgreenascabbagelooking you might have to not mention that you’re pregnant. They can get a bit funny about it, I was lucky they didn’t ask anything. If you can speak to a GP and get what @maxiflump1 has suggested that’s the same as the powder I have, Movicol/Laxido/Cosmocol are all the same active ingredient. I get terrible pains when constipated, very similar to period pains so it’s easy to mistake them.

GeorgieWish · 17/07/2018 11:17

I’ve just come home from work as I’ve had the worst nausea today. It’s the first time I’ve given in to it but I live in Greece and it’s 40 degrees and our air con has broken and I just couldn’t hack it. The problem is everyone else is sweating away and most don’t know I’m pregnant. I would definitely like to have a proper spew though instead of prolonged nausea

GeorgieWish · 17/07/2018 11:19

How are people dealing with work? I find it so hard that most people don’t know and I just look like I’m a hypochondriac!

thismeansnothing · 17/07/2018 11:31

I'm not against a FB group. I was in one for DD 6 years ago and still in touch with plenty of the ladies. aIt was secret, no one can see the group, you can't see who's in it let alone posts as you were privately added by the admin. We use secret FB groups for work with no issues regarding privacy.

As for work I'm struggling big time. I've got a really active job and having to BS my way through as I don't want to tell them yet. I do a walking football group and normally really keen to make up the numbers but I've had to fake a hamstring injury the past 3 weeks 🤔 I've been working from home more as our office is 25miles down the motorway and the drive makes me so 🤢🤢🤢 I've got a few outdoor sessions too and in this weather it's just been unbearable

powkin · 17/07/2018 11:45

@GeorgieWish - I must seem really miserable and grouchy at work at the moment. I mostly blame the heat and just say I wasn’t built for it (Irish blood, 16 degrees is summer to me!). People have commented on my weird new snacking (dry cereal) but I just sort of brush it off! Not really sure how I manage it. My manager knows and it was just me and him yesterday so that was really nice, was pleased to talk about it and just be able to go “MY WEEKEND WAS SHIT!” Rather than seek utterly dull that I’ve done nothing all weekend and don’t want to go out to anything.

powkin · 17/07/2018 11:46

My colleagues are all childless and a bit clueless, I think if I had a parent on the team they would have twigged by now.

twiglet · 17/07/2018 12:16

I'm not really coping at work it's the summer holidays in Scotland so although the office is quiet as half the people are off it's also very busy as we have to manage their stuff if it comes in as well as our own and have a set number of days to do so.

I've been very grumpy/feeling like I want to cry for no reason. I had hoped that my 12 week scan would allow me to tell work properly but I'm at 10/5 so still too soon. My line manager knows due to my fainting.
Pretty crap day!

Koalatom1 · 17/07/2018 12:25

There is a Facebook group Smile
Only a few of us though so please come join us!

PM me your email and I’ll add you 😘

I have my scan this afternoon. Husband had completely forgotten about it until I asked if he was meeting me there! Whoops!

Koalatom1 · 17/07/2018 12:26

@welshweasel I forgot to tag you (and anyone else who wants to come in)
