Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

Just back from my second booking in appointment (they split it up in my area) and feel like a pin cushion! I have small veins and even with a butterfly it took 3 attempts! They had to get the specialist nurse in the end.
Midwife again mentioned that it could be twins because I am feeling so crap scan is on Monday so we will see if she's right or has just been winding me up! Wink She's really nice so don't mind.
Thankfully working from home today so not too bad curled up with my laptop!

Wames90 · 12/07/2018 11:27

@MamaSarai I’m so sorry to hear that, sending you lots of hugs and hoping you’ve got lots of support to help you through this difficult time x

Fredthespider · 12/07/2018 11:35

Big hugs @MamaSarai, look after yourself x

Notquiteagandt · 12/07/2018 12:29

@MamaSarai hope you are being well looked after. There are no words but sending you some love Flowers

@ronniemipperton my dog wont leave my side she knows im poorly. Nothing more awkward than a canine audience when vomitting though. Shes being overly affectionate too. Constantly touching me leaning against me etc.

Today brings my daily drs appointment and anti sickness medicine number 4. 🤞 this one works. Not having much luck with them so far so reccomendations welcome.

Was a new dr who was so lovely. She said hyperemesis gravidarum was one of lifes tests to bring out our inner warrier woman. Reassured me I was doing well and to carry on doing what im doing. And that it will eventually get better. Made me feel loads better and more than a little emotional if I am honnest.

Cheery1 · 12/07/2018 12:45

@mamasari so sorry. Wishing all good luck for the future xx

bubblybrit · 12/07/2018 12:52

@thismeansnothing. After a few descriptions of how you lovely ladies are suffering I may retract my statement! Hopefully not long to go until sickness subsides for you x

Fredthespider · 12/07/2018 13:20

@bubblybrit I was feeling quite rotten for a couple of weeks, but now I just get waves of nausea - usually when I’ve got too hot or hungry. However yesterday I had a batch of dry heaving as I had nothing to throw up and at that point I was very glad that I don’t have that much sickness!

1stTimeTina · 12/07/2018 13:22

I feel you all on the sickness front, I haven’t been physically sick but the nausea is excruciating , mixed with the total exhaustion .... I’m really fun to be around right now haha. However I must admit it’s not as bad as it was a week ago so I’m hoping It’s going to fade out nicely! Feel like such a wimp!!

clairehr · 12/07/2018 13:25

@MamaSari So sorry to hear this, take care of yourself, sending you all the best!

Nausea seems to have subsided a little bit today, still only feel like eating rubbish though, toast with butter, crisps, potato. Can't face anything sweet, but carb overload right now! Ladies who have done this before - does it get easier to stomach healthier things again in 2nd Tri?

Alicejj8x · 12/07/2018 13:30

@MamaSarai
I am so so sorry to hear of your news hun. The feeling is just heart breaking
Take all the time you need and any support you can take. I am so sorry

smellsofelderberries · 12/07/2018 13:41

@clairehr everyone's experience is different but I found the second trimester a world away from the first with my DD. With her first was basically cereal, fish finger sandwiches, and strawberry Nesquick. Second I craved ALL the fruit, and would eat huge Greek salads every day (I was going through 1 1/2 continental cucumbers daily 😱).
Right now I'm alternating between eating Maggi noodles and inhaling fruit and salad veg (ate 1/4 of a watermelon at lunch and a huge green salad, but then could only manage some dry crackers and plain noodles for dinner 🤷🏻‍♀️)

PeggyO · 12/07/2018 14:25

Haven't posted in ages- I don't think I've been on thread 3 yet and it's so full already!

Is anyone else really struggling with exhaustion? I'm nearly 10 weeks now and am finding it so hard and draining just getting through the day. I feel like I'm so unproductive at work because I'm just so tired that I can't focus, and then I just get cross with myself for not trying harder Sad I know I felt tired with my 1st but I really don't remember it being this bad.

On a less moany note, had my first midwife appointment this week and she's the same lovely one I had last time. She remembered me too which was nice! I'm another who hasn't had an early scan, so 3 weeks exactly till we see our bean for the first time...

emoji · 12/07/2018 14:36

@MamaSarai sorry to hear this. I instinctively knew something was wrong when I had my mmc and it was the only reason I went for an early scan. Sometimes you just know! Wishing you all the best for the future Thanks

bubblybrit · 12/07/2018 14:41

@Fredthespider. I think I’m just worried as mainly everyone I know suffered from morning sickness in their pregnancy! Doesn’t help that I choose not to have an early scan as my NIPT plus scan is on the 21st and was pretty expensive so couldn’t justify the cost of an early reassurance scan! Hope that this particular symptom passes quickly for you x

hayleyfx · 12/07/2018 14:55

@MamaSarai I’m so sorry, I hope you’re okay and have plenty of support around you. Sending hugs and wishing you all the best for the future x

@PeggyO yeah I’m still exhausted 24/7, felt this way since about 5 weeks and I’m 10+2 now! Hope you get your energy back soon 😊

DragonFlew · 12/07/2018 14:56

@peggyo so exhausted! All the time, probably due to later working hours than last time and also have DS1 & DS2 to run around after! Today I noticed my eyes are bloodshot so it's getting harder to hide the tiredness!

Threw up twice this morning for the first time at 7+4 but been feeling nauseous all mornings which is slowly taken over by tiredness throughout the day!

I've decided not to have an early scan and just wait it out for 12 weeks!

Fredthespider · 12/07/2018 15:00

@bubblybrit oooh not long to wait! I’ve not booked an early scan either and I started getting really worried when the constant nausea went away but it matched up with the timing for the placenta taking over so I’m hoping it was just that. My scan is the 24th so just a few days after you.

Tumon · 12/07/2018 15:13

@mamasarai I’m so sorry to hear this news. Take care of yourself xx

bubblybrit · 12/07/2018 15:20

@Fredthespider. I feel like time is standing still at the moment. I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow but feel as if I’ve been in the early pregnancy stage for ages!!

jeanzbeanz · 12/07/2018 17:01

I just ordered some maternity leggings! I feel quite ridiculous, considering I'm not quite 10 weeks, but all the baggy dresses I want to wear are too short to wear by themselves, and my regular leggings have elasticated waistbands that dig in horribly. Will the maternity leggings be absolutely huge on me? 🤔
Can't remember the last time I wore proper clothes - have been living in baggy pyjamas or joggers for weeks.

1stTimeTina · 12/07/2018 17:17

Got my scan date!! 9th Aug which also happens to be our wedding anniversary , fingers crossed! I imagine these will be the longest four weeks of my life!

Baby160P · 12/07/2018 17:26

@1stTimeTina did you get that date whilst at your first midwife app?

Or do they send it?

Also will you be exactly 12 weeks then?

Sorry for the questions!!

maxiflump1 · 12/07/2018 17:34

@Baby160P I think all trusts are different! I got my scan appointment in the post about a week after my booking in appointment. Mine is on 12+1. I know other people get their appointment straight away from the midwife.

Yakadee · 12/07/2018 17:35

Mine rang and booked it while I was at my booking in appointment (I was even in the room lol) x

Baby160P · 12/07/2018 17:40

Oh fingers crossed then. We're going to be 12 weeks On Monday 13th and the weekend before we have family parties and hen do's. Was really
Hoping for The Friday before although we will be 11+5 then and not sure they go before 12 weeks?

Any clue?
