Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

@Baby160P
Ahh congrats on seeing the heart beat & a week behind me 😬😬

Ahh yeah I can totally understand lovely but you've got no reason to suggest anything is wrong so I'd carry on and think happy thoughts :) xx

Alicejj8x · 11/07/2018 14:09

@maxiflump1
Ah I have my sisters hen do this weekend and we're off to Bath spa. So going to avoid anything other than the normal swimming pools :)
Then cocktail making but I'm
Not a drinker anyway so that wouldn't be an issue.

Maybe you could tell
Them so they know? And don't ask why or put pressure on you? It's a hard one isn't it and especially with the whole it's a knock out thing not something you could do lightly or get away with pretending to do lol xx

Baby160P · 11/07/2018 14:52

@maxiflump1 you could have injured your back and are on co-codamol which gets you out of drinking and out of it's a knock out but may be able to let you chill in the hot tub?

Depends how good your acting skills are when sitting down and moaning etc! 😂

Baby160P · 11/07/2018 14:53

@LookingAtTheStars89 how many weeks are you? I haven't had this yet..... except in the night! 😬

Baby160P · 11/07/2018 14:55

@Alicejj8x thank you, all seems well I'm just an anxious human! (About everything)

ronniemipperton · 11/07/2018 15:14

I am also going on a hen do at 11 weeks and I’ve decided I’m just going to tell people. I don’t really know anyone except the hen though which sort of makes it a bit easier!

Babybeany · 11/07/2018 15:20

@maxiflump I think I would tell people. I am naff at lying anyway! We are at a birthday bbq this weekend and I am normally the one necking the vino, I have come clean. I figured IF it doesn’t end well I’ll need my close friends for support anyway and the ones who aren’t close friends don’t matter so much. However, just in case I’d stay clear of the hot tub. I have read that it can be dodgy with the temp change. x

twiglet · 11/07/2018 16:40

Today has been the day from hell with symptoms Sad nearly blacked out on the train on the commute into work, nausea and wretching all day including having to make excuses to leave a 2 hour meeting for 10 minutes. 4 dizzy spells, stretching cramps headache and so knackered I feel like I've been hit by a bus.
According to the midwife I'm 11 weeks (although I think 10ish)when the hell does the terrible symptoms stop they just seem to be getting more intense not easing at all!
So fed up with feeling like crap and not being able to function! I can't even manage the thought of bedroom fun let alone the act, poor hubby (although very understanding). Bleughhhhhh sorry for the pity party!

jeanzbeanz · 11/07/2018 16:51

@twiglet I feel just the same. So so sick of feeling so poorly. Even the magic cyclizine doesn't seem to be having any effect today 😭 can't imagine what it would be like to have to function at work. I'm about nine and a half weeks (although MW says 11.5) and beginning to wonder if I'll ever feel better.

On another note, I have forgotten (or been unable to swallow) my folic acid a couple of times. Should I take a double dose if I've forgotten one or just leave it? I'm not too worried, as women have clearly managed to produce healthy babies for centuries without taking it, but I'd like to do what's best...

FrowningFlamingo · 11/07/2018 17:02

maxiflump I'm having the same dilemma about a hen the same weekend. I'll also be 11 weeks. Mine is in Manchester, where is yours? Maybe it's the same hen do?! Grin
I think I will probably just come clean.

AliceRR · 11/07/2018 17:08

Jeanzbeanz I have forgotten twice. The first time I didn’t realise til the next day when I was out and the next time and I remembered as soon as I wake up (I usually take it at night) so I took the missed dose in the morning and then my next dose at the normal time that evening so I had two doses in 24 hours.

If it’s just a couple of times, or anything like once a week, it probably doesn’t make a difference either way

AliceRR · 11/07/2018 17:12

Has anyone else been asked to take a irons sample to their first MW appointment? My letter asks me to bring a sample but doesn’t give me a pee bottle. I would go to the surgery but the times it’s open mean it will be difficult for me to go before appointment day but not sure if it needs to be FMU in which case going to get a bottle on the day would be too late 🤔

Notquiteagandt · 11/07/2018 17:26

@AliceRR

Mine has a basket full of sample bottles by the door to just take one.

If it had to be FMU it would specify. No?

I have always just done it there and then as a)im weeing loads anyways b) dont fancy carrying it around

AliceRR · 11/07/2018 17:37

Thanks @notquiteagandt I will double check the letter and then just do that if I can. Exactly I don’t rant carrying it around either! I thought it wa odd they asked me to take it with me...

MrsY87 · 11/07/2018 17:42

@AliceRR in previous pregnancies I've never needed FMU and have always just done it when I've arrived at the surgery. For my 1st pregnancy I couldn't wee when I got there so the mw gave me a glass of water & I had to wait til I'd gone after my appointment! It's just so they can check your urine for infection, protein, sugar etc

clairehr · 11/07/2018 17:57

@AliceRR Nope, I just did mine there, it wasn't to check level of HCG or anything, just to check protein and infection pointers wh9ch wouldn't be affected by dilution or anything 😊

maxiflump1 · 11/07/2018 18:28

Thanks for the hen do advice. I'm an awful liar so I think I will probably just be honest. Seems to be the hen do season at the moment!

@FrowningFlamingo mines in Hampshire so definitely not the same one! Grin

Wames90 · 11/07/2018 18:31

@twiglet & @jeanzbeanz I am with you both today! I literally cannot stop being sick for some reason. Thought I was doing really well yesterday and then today have thrown up 3 times and feeling the 4th is brewing! I’m 10 + 5 ... I am obviously pleased that this must mean everything’s okay in there but when will it end 🤢. I feel like this child might end up being an only child if this sickness carries on throughout the pregnancy. I hope you’re both feeling better soon xx

AliceRR · 11/07/2018 18:40

Thanks @clairehr and @MrsY87 I will do that and just make sure I fed has a drink before I go!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/07/2018 21:54

@Baby160P. I'm about 8 weeks 4 days :-)

fizzledays · 11/07/2018 22:33

8+3 and went for another early scan today (I know, I know, I've just had anxiety and just needed reassurance). Had an amazing scan, can see the nubs for arms and legs and little heartbeat, 19.7mm. Just...amazing!

February 2019 part 3
ronniemipperton · 11/07/2018 22:35

My boobs have stopped hurting and they were pretty much my only symptom. Panicked and ended up booking another scan for tomorrow (we’d accrued exactly the cost of the scan in Barclays blue rewards on our joint bank account so I’ve somehow justified the cost in my head). Fingers crossed.

ronniemipperton · 11/07/2018 22:36

Ahh amazing pic @fizzledays! Totally understand the anxiety...

preggoagainwithnumber3 · 11/07/2018 23:05

Congrats alice!

Went to early pregnancy clinic today. Dates say I'm 7 weeks, going by LMP. Dr reckoned baby measured 6+4, which he was happy about. Heartbeat seen on scan.

However, Dr showed me haematoma on my womb, likely cause of blood loss (but made no mention of reference to pain, and I forgot to ask). He said they normally dissolve and go away themselves. They will re-scan me in a week's time to check it has started to shrink. Not sure what will be done (maybe just continue to rescan) if it hasn't, as Dr said miscarriage may occur if it doesn't resolve itself.

Does anyone else have any experience of this, haematoma in womb whilst pregnant?

Will post scan pic now.

Also, re: heartburn. Anyone know the cause this early on? (I thought it was just near end with everyone squashed internally. Is it a sign something wrong with gallbladder?)

Baby160P · 11/07/2018 23:07

@fizzledays amazing isn't it. I had one Monday too I'm 7weeks 2 days today.
I get your anxieties!!!

I want another but it's ££££ to save for he baby!
