Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

My alcohol excuses so far have been that I'm driving, or I'm on antibiotics. The benefit of the antibiotic excuse is the 'illness' they're treating can explain away any pregnancy symptoms Wink.

clairehr · 08/07/2018 18:18

@hayley013 It could be worth getting checked out, does sound a bit like stretching, but also could be trapped wind?

booxox · 08/07/2018 18:39

@hayley013 I'm sure it's absolutely nothing and like you said hopefully just growing pains but it's always worth getting checked out to be sure. Hope you are ok xx

hayley013 · 08/07/2018 18:40

Thanks ladies, I've got my booking appt in the morning with midwife so will mention to her. I do have a lot of wind haha, so could be that, and I'm not overly worried right now, just curious if it's normal xx

LittleD0t · 08/07/2018 19:21

@alicejj86 just back from my scan. All Ok and they've said I'm around 8+5. Saw a little heart beat so that's reassured me that the lack of symptoms is nothing to worry about. I've had none for about 3 days now. Hope that has reassured you too? X

Alicejj8x · 08/07/2018 19:47

@LittleD0t
Ahh congrats my lovely I am
So
Glad everything is ok and you got to see the heart beat :)

That's really reassured me thank you :) I have my scan Wednesday so hoping everything is fine also!

Felt abit sick this evening on and off and then very tired so hoping there just coming back now lol but so glad to hear that even without symptoms doesn't mean it's always bad mess

35!!!! 35 degrees in my flat today!!! 😓 DP bought me a fan which he has followed me around the flat with to keep me cool. Struggling isn’t the word! 35!!!! 😱😱😱

MakeLemonade · 08/07/2018 20:27

I bought an air con unit yesterday, can’t deal with the heat plus the relentless nausea. It’s been a game changer!

MrsY87 · 08/07/2018 20:34

I was actually sick earlier and the relief from the nausea has been amazing! I never thought I'd be so happy to actually vomit! Haha!

Glad your scan went well @LittleD0t hope you can relax a bit now!

@hayley013 I've been having some on off abdominal pain which feels familiar from previous pregnancies so hoping it's just stretching pains too. Def mention to your mw so she can reassure you though.

We're on holiday in Spain at the moment so missing the heatwave which I'm quite glad of! It's hot here but at least there's aircon in the bedrooms & a nice breeze as we're staying up in the hills! 👍 we have friends arriving to stay for 5 nights tonight...I've already warned them that I'm suffering and not going to be the best company...Luckily they have two kids too so will understand!

powkin · 08/07/2018 21:34

Actually crying it is so hot and I am so tired and super hormonal and have to go to work tomorrow.
I. Just. Can’t.

bubblybrit · 08/07/2018 21:46

@powkin. I feel exactly the same. My job is pretty stressful with a lot of responsibilitiy. I just can’t be bothered and have felt that way over the last few weeks. From 9.01am I am already counting down to 5pm. It’s such long days at the moment 😢

powkin · 08/07/2018 21:54

@bubblybrit I have to work 9.30 - 7 tomorrow. I have a therapy client at 6pm after my normal work day (also mental health) which means I can’t call in sick to one part of my job and not another. I hate letting clients down and now I have them 3 days per week. It’s the worst timing to have stepped up my client load AND I have uni essays to write. I’m just sat on the floor in the bathroom now. Can’t be bothered to even try to do anything else. I feel ridiculous.

craftymum01 · 08/07/2018 22:13

The heat is a killer but my hay fever is really getting me down today. I want to rip my eyes and nose off! I am so irritated I have done nothing but snap at DH all day. That and eat. Then I get annoyed that I am eating so much. Wish this heatwave would get lost now. I gave birth to DS in August and I don't remember being this uncomfortable and irritable!

thismeansnothing · 08/07/2018 22:32

Joining in with the 'i don't want to go to work' lot. Guaranteed not to have a decent nights sleep it's so hot in our room. Tommorow I have my walking football group. Outside. In the heat for an hour and a half then an afternoon full of gym inductions. 😭😭😭 Only positive I can cling to is air con gym.

Bluebeee · 08/07/2018 22:45

@craftymum01 I'm with you on that. I had dd in a heatwave in September and it is much harder going through 1st tri than it was 3rd tri in the heat.

That sounds really tough @powkin can you call in sick Tuesday? Might make it more bearable tomorrow if you know you can have a rest Tuesday. Work were awful to me during my previous pregnancy and my biggest regret was not going off sick sooner.

smellsofelderberries · 09/07/2018 02:14

Up at the Early Pregnancy Unit this morning. We're coming up in 4 hours here and no sign of being seen yet. DD is being pretty well behaved but she's been up since 5 (it's after 11 now). I'm really hoping I get seen before I have to bail, she's getting pretty tetchy and we're out of snacks 😭

bubblybrit · 09/07/2018 05:53

@powkin. That sounds like a really tough day. I hope you are able to get through it ok. My hours are a bit shorter but I’m so busy that I don’t really get any breaks. Which is a bad combo when I need to pee all the time and feel nauseous if I don’t eat! Also not been sleeping great which doesn’t help!! Fingers crossed for us both today x

bubblybrit · 09/07/2018 05:55

Hoping you get through the day @thismeansnothing. My only saving grace is that it’s suppoded to be a little cooler where I am today x

maxiflump1 · 09/07/2018 07:27

@smellsofelderberries hope you're ok and finally got seen. Everything ok?

1stTimeTina · 09/07/2018 07:42

@powkin I feel ya!! Work is SO Tough at the min, I commute so my day is 12 hours Mon-Fri and the trains just make the nausea ten times worse!! Hope the day goes quick for us all! X

twiglet · 09/07/2018 07:58

Glad it's not just me struggling with work and the commute! I think it's harder at the moment because you can't just say sorry I feel like crap mind if I have a 10 minute chill out!
I struggle to remain cheerful and function. the school holidays have just started in Scotland which means that I will be getting my colleagues work over the next 6 weeks as well as mine 😥 as we share out tasks when people are away.

powkin · 09/07/2018 08:04

Thanks @1stTimetina - woke up at 4.50am and finally got up about 6 and made a small breakfast before going to nap on the sofa for an hour. I was just dropping off to sleep properly when my alarm goes of course...

Now time for second breakfast and trying to sort out general hair/face disaster!

Good luck today everyone x

ronniemipperton · 09/07/2018 08:09

I’ve got my booking appointment this morning which I’m mainly glad about because it means I don’t have to face the commute just yet. So unbelievably tired.
