hey moosma

you do need to contact MN Towers if you are adverting a business on site. They charge, I think, £25 and you get your own proper ad and everything!

HTH and good luck with it!

fillyjonk · 02/06/2007 08:41

but have just clicked on it and it isn't really a business, is it?

hmm not sure

beansprout · 02/06/2007 10:54

leesmum - our ds's are twins!! 25th Oct '04 here too! And we are both due on the 1st.... spooky!

I think the tiredness may be starting to kick in. Oh good. Dh has taken ds swimming though, so think I may take advantage and do very little indeed this morning!

Egg · 02/06/2007 15:12

Gosh after all that flurry of chat last night everyone has been very quiet today. Hope you are all out enjoying the sunshine and everyone is ok. Belly is even bigger today, although I did eat the second eclair .

beansprout · 02/06/2007 15:51

My belly is bigger too and I didn't have 2 eclairs, which absolutely rules out that theory girls. Eat all the cakes you want, they won't affect your waistline.

rozzyraspberry · 02/06/2007 16:30

Leesmum my ds2 was born on 28th Oct so just a few days after your ds and beansprouts twins.

rozzyraspberry · 02/06/2007 16:32

Have just re-read beansprouts post - got a bit confused for a minute !!! my ds2 is a few days younger than beansprouts ds(not twins) and leesmums ds.

Egg · 02/06/2007 17:15

Maybe it was fate... and beansprout is having TWINS this time round .

mrsRabbit · 02/06/2007 17:22

Hello everyone, Iv posted on jan thread but think I may actually be due in Feb. Periods very irregular! will no more when I see doc on Thursday. Congratulations to you all. I cant actually believe Im able to post on a 'due' thread! Been ttc for the past 18mnths and saw a fertility consultant on the 23rd May! Booked in for loads of tests then randomly did a pg test on Monday and it was posative! Obviously we are over the moon but still in shock! Was convinced we'd need IVF or something. How is everyone feeling? I have got serious wind issues and my sleep pattern has gone AWOL. Maybe to do with the fact that I am still in serious shock! Ha ha!

beansprout · 02/06/2007 17:50

Congratulations Mrsrabbit!!

Egg - arrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

leesmum · 02/06/2007 17:57

hi everyone, dont get talking about twins. i have an identical twin sister, theres a few of us in the family, i'd be happy with just the one!!

beansprout · 02/06/2007 18:03

Do twins tend to skip a generation, or did I just make that up?

leesmum · 02/06/2007 18:06

they are SUPPOSED to skip a generation, but that has'nt happened in our family, so were due some twins as my sis and i are youngest at 34.!!

beansprout · 02/06/2007 18:14

Eek! How common are twins? Does anyone know?

rozzyraspberry · 02/06/2007 19:11

Don't know how commom twins are but I know that identical twins are random as thats the egg splitting. It's non-identical twins that run in the mothers side as thats the mother releasing 2 eggs at once.

Hello Mrs Rabbit - congratulations! It's amazing how many people seem to get pregnant just when they start to see specialists and have tests done. You must be over the moon. I don't really have any pregnancy symptoms at the moment apart from being slightly nauseous first thing in the morning as I'm only 4 weeks. I have had a lot of really bad headaches this week though but I think that's just coincidence as I now have a matching sore throat.

miniandme · 02/06/2007 19:25

Me!!! i have tight trousers!! Have lost almost 2 stone in the last year and threw away all my older,non-fitting clothes to the charity skip have a couple of bigger pairs of jeans left and wore a pair today to find that they are now most uncomfortable at the end of the day lol!
Can see me in maternity stuff before long too at this rate, this is my 4th baby so can see my muscles holding up their hands and sayign we're off before long !!

beansprout · 02/06/2007 21:09

I feel v odd that it is starting to be visible at this stage. I just feel like a fat old fraud. Does anyone else know what I mean or am I just going a bit mad (entirely possible of course)?

Egg · 03/06/2007 07:28

I definitely feel wrong that my belly seems to be bigger already. I could still wear most of my normal clothes at four months last time... My weight hasn't changed, just my belly sticks out, and when I bend over or kneel down my belt on my jeans really digs in.

Anyway, another question, will I need a double type buggy if DS will be nearly two when DC2 is born? Really don't want one, but don't think he will be happy with just a buggy board. Any advice very welcome (not that we will be buying yet, I think it is a little bit too early for all that).

Egg · 03/06/2007 07:30

Oh and the thought of twins terrifies me. I do think twins are lovely, and so special, and I used to actively WANT twins before I had DS, but he was not the easiest baby and I don't know how I would have coped with two. No twins in the family. The likelihood of twins is higher as you get older...

Slacker · 03/06/2007 07:51

Five weeks today!! Starting to believe that this one might stick around. No major symptoms but I'm not going to get worried about it, will enjoy it while it lasts!

Egg · 03/06/2007 07:56

Yay Slacker! Was just lying awake this morning trying to remember who it was that had mentioned two mc at 4+5, and hoping they were doing ok. Really pleased you have made it to 5 ! I was 5 yesterday. Still nervous but not thinking about it every second of the day any more!

rozzyraspberry · 03/06/2007 08:08

Egg - we didn't really plan to buy a double buggy but as soon as ds2 was born decided we needed one. I just felt it was much easier when we were out as they were both strapped in and I didn't have to worry about trying to hang on to ds1 and push a buggy at the same time. We went out walking a lot and it was really too much to expect ds1 to stand for all that time. He sat in it until he was over 3 so we got over a year out of it, then he started to use the buggy board.

Slacker · 03/06/2007 08:11

Well congrats on you reaching 5w too then! This is going to be really weird, have been pregnant multiple times (this will be baby number 5) but have never really worried about m/c before, I reckon it's going to stay there in the back of my mind this time though.

You were asking about double buggies - my first two are 23 months apart in age and I didn't have a double buggy, carried the baby in a sling for a few months and then evicted poor DS1 from his pushchair and made him walk everywhere after that! Never got a buggy board. So my opinion is don't get a double if you don't want to, unless you walk long distances that would be unreasonable to expect a 2 year old to walk.

Egg · 03/06/2007 08:19

Hmmm, we do walk everywhere at the moment TBH. We do have a car but where we live everything is within walking distance, although about 15-20 mins walk to most shops etc. However, we will have to move house before this baby comes, so I guess it depends where we end up. Suppose I will wait until after 12 week scan and work out where we are going to live first .

Baby no 5! Congrats!

miniandme · 03/06/2007 08:24

Well im off to edinburgh today to do the 5k race for life!!Had signed up for it before finding out about bean so will be walking it today i reckon !!
