Not till August!! Thing is I should have had this finished by now but I took a break when having ds!!! At this rate I'll be retired before I become a proper accountant!!!!

beansprout · 05/06/2007 20:02

Flamingnora - please tell me you are not still there?!

Countto10 - hope your exam went well and that you can move on to the next stage.

I'm not grumpy, it's just that I have to deal with all these annoying bastards!
Am not sure if I have symptoms or not as am drowning in snot. Not pleasant. Am already in "how am I going to cope with two?" anxiety. Cos worrying always helps.

rozzyraspberry · 05/06/2007 20:14

Beansprout - I'm totally with you on the worrying front. Both of mine have had sickness bugs over last few days (so I completely symphasize with you Egg). Found myself thinking last night maybe 3 not such a good idea after all - then had the realisation that it was a bit late for that now. Also having the worries about money when on mat leave.

Countto10 - which accounts exams are you doing? Hope you did ok - at least you've got plenty on your mind to occupy you whilst you wait for your results. I'm a CA so remember well the horrors of the exams - hard at the time but worth it in the end!

I don't have any symptoms yet other than feeling ever so slightly nauseous first thing in the morning. Actually feel really well at the moment so am trying to make the most of it! I'm not due until 9th Feb though so about a week behind most of you. Fillyjonk I'm sorry your sickness has kicked in - I'm sure a lot of us will be joining you in that all too soon.

Egg · 05/06/2007 20:16

OK I am so far behind I feel like Filly and want to sob at not keeping up. Sorry everyone is grumpy, and Filly is sick, and exams are crap, and work is crap, and DCs are hard work (I am definitely thinking how will I cope with two, imagine if there had been a small baby in the pukey car as well as DS, even more hassle, arrggh).

Egg · 05/06/2007 20:18

Forgot to say to ginger, we went to Winchester a few months ago to check it out, it is lovely. The only worry is it will be a much longer commute for DH so we will probably rent out our place in London, and rent in Winchester to make sure he can handle it first. Means moving house a lot though...

gingermumi · 05/06/2007 20:19

That's pants! Thought it was just GCSE and A level results that you had to wait so long for. Sure you did fine hun. Beansporut - don't worry about having two, it somehow works out. Can't be anymore stressful than going from no kids to having one! Think how easy life was before you had ds!

gingermumi · 05/06/2007 20:24

Egg - is there somewhere closer you could choose? sounds like lots of stress for you.

flamingnora · 05/06/2007 21:20

Yes! - out of work - in my PJs and watching some trash on TV, bliss!
Finding it hard to keep up with everyone's news and sorry some of us are puking (god, I'm dreading that...) but glad all's well other than that! Not confident I'm going to feel reassured after seeing my GP tomorrow (have never needed to see him since I registered, but Mr FamingNora does not rate him...) but curiously excited about having a medical professional tell me what I already know. Yes, I really am that sad!...

CountTo10 · 05/06/2007 21:34

So mid watching something on why Tom Cruise is such a weirdo and then wake up realising its nearly 45mins later, it's getting dark and I've been alseep - d'oh!!!! I just don't remember the tiredness being this bad last time!!! But then I'm sure I'll say that after giving birth - but I dpn't remember it hurting last time I know I know too early for that conversation. I'm not massively nervous about coping with 2.....yet but only as 2 of our friends have not got 2 and we've watched them and actually they've all done really well. I'm more worried for ds and how he'll cope. I just worry that he'll think we don't love him anymore or something horrible like that.

fillyjonk · 05/06/2007 21:36

could we perhaps have a slow lane, no undertaking on this thread?

beansprout · 05/06/2007 21:38

I am sadly excited about my trip to the docs tomorrow too . Am actually starting to think of myself as pregnant, rather than someone with a bfp....! Have to keep reminding myself that it is still early days.

I keep thinking I may have got away without the puking but I thought that before and then had ALL DAY sickness for weeks. Bah. I suspect my time will come. In the meantime I am grateful for every day that I don't feel sick (ah, the glamour!)

flamingnora · 05/06/2007 21:46

Yep, after the doctor tomorrow I plan to get my travel sickness wrist-band (is that right?) as a preemptive strike against sickness. I have no idea how I'm going to cope with work AND sickness and am actually quite scared about the whole thing.

beansprout · 05/06/2007 21:47

See how you go. You may be lucky? Have decided to live in hope .

leesmum · 06/06/2007 07:52

hi beansprout good luck with your app with doc today, are you excited? its another step nearer isn't it? Let us know how you get on.Anyone else finding it hard to brush their teeth without wanting to throw up!!

rozzyraspberry · 06/06/2007 07:54

Good luck to those of you with doctors appointments today! I have to wait until I'm about 6 weeks and have handed in a urine sample for testing before I can see mine.

Yes working and morning sickness isn't much fun - especially if you don't want anyone to know you're pregnant. I found that eating little and often worked best for me in controlling the sickness.

Anyway off to work now.

leesmum · 06/06/2007 08:08

hi flamingnora are you off to docs today aswell? Being a first time mum you must be so excited, i was ,i remember coming out of docs after first app and feeling like i was the only pregnant woman in the world. i think i bored dp to tears with my constant baby talk!!

teejay · 06/06/2007 08:13

Hi- I'm new to posting- altho read posts before.
I did a test yesterday and am due on 4/2/07. Oh my God, I already have a ds of 3 yrs 10 months and .. wait for it... am 44!!! I think I must be mad. I'm posting as I saw there were a couple of you nearly my age-altho no one as old!

beansprout · 06/06/2007 08:13

Morning everyone. Am feeling a bit nauseous this morning, and yes, esp when I brushed my teeth. Bleugh. Great, 10 weeks of this. Am not sure how I am going to face the commute on over heated trains....

Am excited about my trips to the doc though!

Dreamt I miscarried last night. Nice. At least I am sleeping a bit better though!

beansprout · 06/06/2007 08:14

Welcome teejay!!

teejay · 06/06/2007 08:19

I was just thinking everyone seems to be way ahead of me with testing and doctors appointments. Maybe I was in denial. Maybe I still am..

beansprout · 06/06/2007 08:22

I tested pretty early as we have been ttc for a year, but I'm sure there will be a few others along soon who weren't as obsessive and who will find out a bit later!

How are you feeling?

teejay · 06/06/2007 08:26

half the time full of beans then hitting a brick wall about mid afternoon, no nausea but had none with first preganancy either. really terrified at the moment

beansprout · 06/06/2007 08:30

It's a horrible, anxious time. Fingers crossed for no nausea though. Am at work, so had best get on, but will catch up later.

fillyjonk · 06/06/2007 08:39

aw beany...it must be so bloody HARD if you've had a m/c, must really take the shine off it.

I haven't even booked a appt with the gp. I mean, they don't DO anything except take details, and then you only see someone at 12-16 weeks anyway. So I'll slot it in when it works for me, probably in a few weeks when my mum is up to look after the kids.

DearBeatrice · 06/06/2007 08:41

morning all welcome to teejay

after a grumpy day y/day and being v knackered & emotional i crashed out at 9 and had a good sleep (bought a lavender scented eyemask from tesco which helped i think).

i think i feel a bit queasy but no sickness / toothbrush aversions - weeing a lot

can i ask a question and touch wood it wont happen to any of us .. if things go wrong and and the pregnancy doesn't progress at this point, are the chances higher that you'd know ie bleeding OR is it as likely, or a high chance that you'd have to have treatment to clear the missed miscarriage??

sorry to be gory, just paniccing i suppose
