New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

MamaSarai I am still quite tired but it varies day by day. This morning I woke up feeling weak but then was on all morning. After lunch I felt like going to sleep.

And I am quite irritable too! 🙈

hayleyfx · 03/07/2018 16:56

My OH has just agreed to booking another private scan, will hopefully get one this week or next so I’ll be 9-10 weeks. I’m so nervous just thinking about it but so glad he’s on board now. Waiting to hear back about appointment times now 🤞 Don’t know whether to be excited or scared!

Notquiteagandt · 03/07/2018 16:56

Anyone else getting hip pains ?? This is a new one for me. But today my actual hip bones are aching.

Hear you girls on the exhaustion. I am just taking the opportunity to nap as often as possible as it is the only time im not being sick/feeling sick.

Babybeany · 03/07/2018 17:52

@Notquiteagandt I haven’t had hip pains... but google informs me that when the uterus grows larger it can put pressure on your lower back and hips. It seems more common in the second and third trimester though. Maybe ask your midwife or gp? X

Anyone else having a panic about telling their boss? Mine has just gone on mat leave with twins who were born 11 days ago! I know she doesn’t need to know anything yet but I still can’t shake the level of guilt I am feeling. 😕

jeanzbeanz · 03/07/2018 17:52

@MamaSarai I've been really hoping to get a phone call like that! But 1.5 weeks after my MW appointment it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

My scan is on 16th and also far too early!

jeanzbeanz · 03/07/2018 17:53

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking ugh, I've basically given up on brushing my teeth. I think I do it about every other day on average. So disgusting

twiglet · 03/07/2018 18:06

@babybeany I know the feeling with telling your boss! I had to tell my line manager 2 weeks ago due to dizzyness and risk of fainting. She was very good about it still nervous about telling the other management! One boss isn't very pc about maternity leave.....

hayley013 · 03/07/2018 18:15

@jeanzbeanz that's exactly what I'm like, everything goes black for few seconds then I'm good to go. May mention to midwife on Monday at booking appt as I think it may be low iron levels.@MamaSarai just seen your post 😂 yes the same happened to me prey with dd, was on iron tablets a lot of the time.

We've been to the aquarium today, nearly vomited in the otter enclosure, omg the smell, I still think it's stuck in my nostrils 😂 first time I've actually wretched and near vomited x

Bluebeee · 03/07/2018 18:22

@notquiteagandt I'm with you on the hip pains? Is it your first? I had really bad spd last time and a generally very weak core.

Top tip for anyone who ends up on iron tablets - they make your poo go like charcoal. If you Google charcoal pool it tells you you are most likely dying of bowel cancer and need to get to the hospital asap. Which, of course, you don't. Hopefully that will stop someone here having a little scare like I did.

gingerlou84 · 03/07/2018 18:26

I’m with you on telling your boss. I know the one thing you’re not meant to do is apologise, but I only started the job in January so I don’t suppose he’s expecting me to go off so soon!

Notquiteagandt · 03/07/2018 18:45

bluebeee 5th...however my symptoms are 1 million x stronger this time around so taking it as a good sign that this one will stick 🤞 SPD is what I am dredding. I get sciatica anyways but this feels like more bone pain. Is that what SPD is like?

hayley013 · 03/07/2018 19:00

@Bluebeee lol about the black poo, a dr once told me take your iron tablets with fresh orange juice as the vit c helps to absorb the iron into your blood.

Oh the dreaded SPD, I had it bad last time round from around 20 weeks, I got sciatica after I had dd and can feel it creeping back, have started doing some exercises on it which do help xx

clairehr · 03/07/2018 19:13

Eek, just had my reassurance scan. All fabulous with Squidge. Has nearly tripled in length from 8 days ago, currently measuring two days over estimated size, and a beautiful little heartbeat of 151bpm. SO MUCH LOVE.

jeanzbeanz · 03/07/2018 19:18

Fabulous news!!

Bluebeee · 03/07/2018 19:34

Great news on the scan @clairehr

@notquiteagandt fx for a sticky bean! Yes when I had it much later on it was a horrible bone grinding pain. I had physio for it and stuff. She said to wear proper trainers, not daps like converse or vans. Proper supportive shoes. I've broken my trainers stepping on the heels when I was too fat pregnant to bend down. Atm it's like a bone ache, is that what yours feels like?

sunflower197443 · 03/07/2018 19:36

@clairehr wonderful news. How many weeks are you showing the scan with the heartbeat? I'll be 6+5 on Monday when I have my scan and hoping to see the heart beat flicker.

clairehr · 03/07/2018 19:41

Thanks ladies!

@sunflower197443 I'm currently 7w +2 (although measuring 7w +4). I had an emergency scan at 6w +1 and saw the heartbeat at that one on both abdominal and internal so you could be ok. If they don't see it on an abdominal ask for an internal 😊

emma911030 · 03/07/2018 19:53

Hi, I’m really new to this...

I’m 26, am 7 weeks today, (assuming all continues to go well) EDD 19th Feb, 1st one for me.

Alicejj8x · 03/07/2018 19:54

@sunflower197443
I saw the heart beat on an internal at 5w5d so your defo be able to see :) xxx

clairehr · 03/07/2018 20:08

@emma911030 Welcome aboard! We're a friendly bunch on here, some first timers, some lots of timers, and all in between 😊 How are you feeling?

Notquiteagandt · 03/07/2018 20:15

Oh how lovely, be reassuring I bet and suddenly very real! @clairehr

Yeah like a bone ache in the ball and socket almost. Feels almost like it would if id walked loads. I will keep eye on it and mention midwife if need be. If it is spd starting id rather nip it in bud early on @bluebeee

emma911030 · 03/07/2018 20:30

Thank you @clairehr! Think I’m still getting my head around it, I have been pregnant before when I was 18 but my bf at the time was an idiot and he didn’t want me to keep it so unfortunately had termination, so it’s strange to be able to be excited about being pregnant to be honest. I’m getting all the cramping, and I cry at anything and nothing totally emotional! I want to tell my mum because she will be thrilled and I’ll have someone to talk to about it all but also want to wait until I’m a bit further along. Should be an easy decision but really can’t seem to decide. Sorry rambled on a bit

clairehr · 03/07/2018 20:40

@emma911030 Aww, bless you, so pleased that you can be happy and excited, there's such a freedom in this! I know what you mean about telling your mum! I have told my parents, more because after MCs I realise that I need her support whichever way this pregnancy goes so I'd rather she knew early so I can be fearful and excited with her understanding and knowledge and support.

Wames90 · 03/07/2018 20:46

Congratulations to all the newcomers and positive scan results!
I've been feeling particularly sorry for myself today because I've somehow managed to hurt my neck and I'm still suffering from morning (all day) sickness! I also feel like my hair on my head hurts (bit weird). Has anyone ever head this with previous or current pregnancies or am I maybe just going crazy?! I feel like I want to rip my hair out 🙅🏼. Also any tips for my neck pain will be most appreciated seeing as ibuprofen is a no no 🤞🏼.

emma911030 · 03/07/2018 20:48

@clairehr, I’m really sorry to hear about your MC’s :(. I understand your wanting your mums support either way for sure! As I’m sure you’ve heard plenty before I hope this pregnancy brings happier times for you and your family! x
