New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

@twiglet
Ah thank you. Just hard isn't it. But tbh not like they have just randomly got lighter or anything and I haven't tested for a few weeks and last week we saw the HB so I just got to keep positive I guess

twiglet · 02/07/2018 12:54

@alicejj8x yes completely understandable and it's easy to stress or overthink everything I even ended up calling the Dr at one point because I had pain on one side but very low down and the online referral said seek medical attention immediately! It was nothing just stretching. Since then I've avoided googling pretty much everything and just see how each day goes.
Otherwise I would drive myself insane!

sunflower197443 · 02/07/2018 13:13

Hi all I've come over from another thread which I set up for 'Due Feb 2019' didn't realise this was already in place.

I had my first internal scan today at 5+5 because I've previously had 5 miscarriages. We could only see the pregnancy and yolk sac. The OB thought she saw a flicker of heart beat for a second but then moved the wand and couldn't find it again. She also said my uterus wasn't in a perfect round shape but that could be due to my tilted uterus and was difficult to get a good view. My next scan is Monday when I'll be 6+5 weeks. Anyone else know the difficulties about a tilted uterus.

FrowningFlamingo · 02/07/2018 13:14

Isn't there a point where the lines get lighter anyway? Can't remember why but I think it might be around now.

I felt fine this morning but queasy later on and I have a headache. Luckily work isn't horribly busy so I'm hoping to not be too late finishing! I think I need a nap :/

Alicejj8x · 02/07/2018 13:26

So apparently there's something called the hook effect?

If you dilute your wee with water apparently the test line goes back to being dark so I tried it out ... I guess it does actually work :/

This is the homeopathic pills my mum has bought for me - am giving them a go. Will let you know how I get on and would love to know if anyone else has had success with homeopathy!

I get blinding migraines in pregnancy and what I use is 4head and kool n soothe migraine gel sheets, they really help although lying in the dark helps the most.

katiedecades · 02/07/2018 14:27

Hi all!
I'm turning 28 this week, first pregnancy, 6+2 weeks currently and nauseated like woah - I started my 24 hour on call shift yesterday lying on the kitchen floor in a nauseated cold sweat. Made the wiser decision this morning to eat a cracker before I got out of bed but I have still spent all day feeling like I'm on a boat! Trying all the remedies I can think of... bit daunted by the prospect of weeks more of this and it's only just begun!
Hoping to get our first scan a few days early because our wedding is bang on 11 weeks and it would be lovely to be able to tell people if all looks okay on the scan!

MamaSarai · 02/07/2018 14:34

@twiglet @alicejj8x at my booking appointment the midwife implored me not to google too much, lol! She said it was a wonderful tool at our disposal, but more often than not can cause more anxiety than it helps. She said any questions, just call the MW team or GP. It's hard though when it's so much easier to type it into google!!

Welcome newbies!! Sending you lots of positive vibes for happy and healthy pregnancies Smile

Just be careful with homeopathy... just be aide it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s safe!

I have a tilted uterus Sunflower, I don’t think it really means anything except they have to work harder to get a good scan pic! I got two kids already, and nothing seemed any different to anyone else’s labour. They were long though!! Don’t know if that was because of it?

tel85 · 02/07/2018 15:19

Hello, this is my first ever post on here although I read through some often. I’m 6 and half weeks. 7 on Wed (or that’s what I think). So due around 20/02/19.

Had a bit of a shakey start - found out, then bled for a while so was worried. Went for blood tests and hcg level was low they said I may miscarry. Was so sad. Then it just kept rising... until last Monday I had my first scan (because I started spotting again). And saw a little tiny hear flickering! It was amazing.

I have had a bit of spotting since but nothing too bad. This weekend and now though I feel awful! Cramps, nausea, constipation and just generally feel like I don’t want to do anything. It’s hard when I have to work... but luckily I can work from home.

I am still worried just generally as I just want everything to be ok. Going for my midwife appointment tomorrow so will speak to her about what’s happening.

Was a really scary start but fingers and toes crossed all ok now. Sorry for the long post - I don’t get all the acronyms yet!

Congratulations to all of you others out there. Nice to know you all are there. It’s my first baby and I’m so happy but also scared.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 02/07/2018 15:19

I googled it... a tilted uterus means nothing, it sorts itself out by week 12/13

Camsie30 · 02/07/2018 15:29

How's everyone doing with cravings? I keep going to the fridge but all I want is hummus and rice cakes, or a cold apple! This baby will be 90% chick peas at this rate 😂

MamaSarai · 02/07/2018 15:42

Welcome and congrats @tel85 ☺️sounds like a scary start but FX for a more stable pregnancy from now on!

Oh I'm craving all sorts @Camsie30. Been absolutely ravenous today, feel like the hungry caterpillar 😂. Trying desperately to eat healthy snacks only but there's a packet of Salt & Vinegar crisps in my desk drawer that probably won't last the day...😂

Notquiteagandt · 02/07/2018 15:43

sunflower I have a tilted uterus is yours forward or bavkwards tilting?

I have had loads gynae problems before so already had scans etc that have told me I have a tilted uterus.

Mine tilts back so they did comment at the time when /if I managed to successfully carry to term I might not have a big bump and show later as well as possibly experience more back pain.

They also suggested certain positions to assist making the baby in the 1st place.Wink

Which have clearly done the job!!

jeanzbeanz I am the biggest advocate homopathy in general. But just tread on side of caution during pregnancy. As theres quite alot you cant use.

I am also a huge weleda fan. You should check out their baby products they are lovely.

Bluebeee · 02/07/2018 17:24

I've been feeling terrible with migraines. I thought I was dehydrated but went to the doctors today as last night was unbearable. I have blood in my urine so not sure what that's about. Hopefully the test results don't take long to come back. She's given me antibiotics.

I read lavender oil helps with migraines and is safe in pregnancy. I put some on my temples and forehead and I feel it did help. Personally if it's that's bad I say just take paracetamol. But it's very personal. My first pregnancy I was very cautious. This time round I'm not really bothered. Apart from pate, I still wouldn't eat that. The guidelines have changed a lot in 2 years.

clairehr · 02/07/2018 17:56

Waves to all newcomers - welcome aboard!!

Baby took a rest over the weekend, very little nausea, no headaches and boobs are easier. Obviously has a thing for Mondays though as have been throwing up most hours since 2am and have a raging headache. Managed to keep some food down this afternoon so we'll see what this one has in store for me overnight 😂

bubblybrit · 02/07/2018 18:15

Hope everyone that was struggling this morning got through work ok! I’m just home and could literally go straight to bed. My neighbours are outside having a bbq and I’m indoors in my pjs feeling sorry for myself 😢 have felt achy all day and really bloated which is making it difficult to eat anything as feel full up all the time!

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 02/07/2018 18:49

@bubblybrit I could have slept the whole afternoon!! God only knows what the rest of the room thought!

ameliasophie · 02/07/2018 18:51

Hi everyone!

Would really like to join this group, looking forward to reading updates and getting some reassurance with my pregnancy anxieties!!

I'm 26, first baby, by my estimation I am either 8+1 DD Feb 10th or 7+1 DD Feb 17th (going by the two dates we did the deed around time of ovulation!) If I go off of first date of last period I am 7+4 DD 14 Feb Confused
I am so confused!!! I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, does anyone have any idea if they will be able to work out a proper date or not until the scan?

Symptoms have got much worse over the last 2 weeks, nausea pretty much all day with actual sickness in the morning, sore boobs, exhaustion etc etc. This heat is not doing any of us any favours is it!!

Babybeany · 02/07/2018 18:55

Welcome @ameliasophie I think your midwife will go from the first day of your last period for an EDD. You will get a more specific date at your 12 week scan when they can measure baby.
Congratulations! It’s very exciting isn’t it!
X

bubblybrit · 02/07/2018 19:02

@MrsSnootyPants2018. I’m usually in bed for 8.30pm and then don’t get up until 6.30-6.45am for work.....and I’m still tired Hmm!

FrowningFlamingo · 02/07/2018 19:17

I fell asleep at work today Blush only for five minutes or so and I work alone in a room so nobody knows! I'm pretty sure I'm getting a cold which explains it as id been feeling loads less tired until today...

hayley013 · 02/07/2018 20:02

I am literally drained of all energy I have, taking every effort just to do simple things. Oh is making some dinner then I'm going to bed, though once I get in bed I lie awake for hours 🙁 then ping wide awake at 6am, it's got me exhausted and I'm just having a right moan tonight haha xx
