@Alicejj8x Ahhh glad I could help! I was so worried to start with because I thought it might hurt the baby but my doctor said just to trust my instincts and if something doesn't feel right get out. He just said to be careful in the baby pools because they're generally warmer so to try and limit the amount of time but you should be fine! Ahhh you will love it!!! It's so amazing! Book in for a massage if you have time. Best massages I've had. The roof top is lovely, fingers crossed for a nice day! Your making me want to go back haha xx

ClaireLouise82 · 29/06/2018 20:11

@booxox - it only took about 10 minutes. It was all over before I had time to take it all in to be honest but it made it all more real to know that something was actually happening and I'm not imagining it. I got 2 printed pics and a DVD with some more on. I can't wait till the 12 week scan now. Good luck with your scan next week xx

ronniemipperton · 29/06/2018 21:23

Hi all! Been off for a bit as I’ve been walking the South West Coast Path. Absolutely beautiful though slightly terrified I’ve done something bad by overheating - did my best to keep hydrated and take it easy on the tough bits but my god it was hot. Nothing I can do though so will have to hope for the best until 12 week scan at the end of July (feels like an eternity away...).

Sorry to hear so many people are suffering with nausea etc, hope it eases off soon.

ronniemipperton · 29/06/2018 21:29

Oh and I’ve done the Bath spa rooftop pool (went for a friend’s hen do and one of the hens was very pregnant and had a great time in the pool) - it was wonderful! Enjoy!

hayley013 · 30/06/2018 07:43

Well I've learnt something new about the ice cream thing 😳🤔 interesting. Not that I fancy anything sweet atm x

welshweasel · 30/06/2018 07:56

Soft ice cream is absolutely fine. All I’ve cream vans get inspected now so have to make sure hygiene up to scratch. Deli ham is ok too, it’s only cured meats like salami and prosciutto you need to be careful with (cook or freeze first). There are hardly any restrictions on food these days. The only one I struggle with is no rare steak.

Alicejj8x · 30/06/2018 08:42

@ronniemipperton
Thank you :) hope your trip went well :)

Babybeany · 30/06/2018 08:47

Morning mummies! Have a lovely weekend. I have my first midwife appointment finally... it isn’t until July 17th! I’ll be 9 weeks by then! I really feel like I’m behind on everything. I’m pretty sure everything is ok in there (I seem to have days when I think it’s all ok and days where I doubt myself) but I could do with an appointment sooner to make it seem more real. I hope everyone’s nausea is at bay?
Welcome back @ronniemipperton x

Leonora94 · 30/06/2018 08:56

Hi everyone, been quiet on here recently I’m a bid to distract myself and try to carry on as normal! Does anyone else feel like their not even pregnant? I have a scan booked for Wednesday and I just don’t think there’s going to be anything in there!

AliceRR · 30/06/2018 08:58

@welshweasel thanks. It probably is fine. I’m just worrying a bit about everything and hopefully will feel better after my 12 week’s scan.

@babybeany my first MW appt is on16 July when I will be 10 weeks which seems late to me too but they say 8-10 was for the first appointment I think

hayley013 · 30/06/2018 09:06

Yeah @Babybeany my midwife said 8-10 weeks is the norm, mine is at 9 weeks too xx

Alicejj8x · 30/06/2018 09:30

@Leonora94
Hello hun

I felt the exact same as you before I had my scan Wednesday. But try not to worry too much I no that's easier said than done but I have everything crossed for you

I was convinced There wouldn't be anything but there baby was heart beating away and looking all snug

Since then I've not been feeling great nausea on and off and just shattered. I was sick before the scan Wednesday but I didn't know if that was jisy all in my head if you no what I mean but now looking back think it was bub in there saying hi I'm here still

Do you have any symptoms? How far along are you?

clairehr · 30/06/2018 09:39

Does anyone's nausea disappear for a day and then come back? I felt awful yesterday, but good today, so I'm kinda hoping it comes back tomorrow.

Leonora94 · 30/06/2018 10:02

Alicejj8x Hi, glad to hear your scan went so well! I’m 8 weeks a 4 days according to the midwife but have little symptoms, ache boobs, more tired than normal but other than that I feel completely fine! I know I should consider myself lucky but it’s strange when nothing’s happenening!

ClaireLouise82 · 30/06/2018 10:08

@Babybeany - I'm glad you've got your midwife appointment sorted. I'm also seeing mine at 9 weeks (next week now yay) so think the timings about right - it just feels so long when you are waiting though xx

@Leonora94 - I felt exactly the same before I went for my scan on Thursday. I thought she was going to say that there was nothing there. I haven't had many symptoms at all so it didn't really feel real until I saw baby on the screen. It was amazing to see though and certainly feels more real now, I keep looking at the photos to remind myself! Good luck with your scan next week xxx

Posted this is the pregnancy forum bug going up copy it here... as I’m not confident of getting any responses in there!

So, I’m 6+5 today, earlier in this pregnancy I had spotting.. brown/red/brown for about a week, maybe a bit less.

I had a reassurance scan last Tuesday, where a heartbeat was seen and my uterus was clear of any blood.

This morning after a week or so of no spotting, there is brown again.. has anyone got any idea what might be causing it? I have a scan on Friday anyway.. and I know they can’t do anything if the worst is happening.. but I really wasn’t expecting it.

Have had two recent MMCs but never any bleeding prior to this pregnancy. Have also seen a heartbeat before at 7+5 and went on to lose it, so I’m very aware I’m far from the ‘safe zone’.

Is this likely to be bad news, or is it still anyone’s guess at the moment?

I fucking hate these early weeks ☹️

Alicejj8x · 30/06/2018 12:50

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking
Oh bless you

Brown usually means old blood ?? Soo unless it's jisy the old blood from
When you had spotting clearing it's self out.

I wouldn't worry ( I no easier said than done) but if it's not bright red/ clots then usually they say not to worry. I know you can have bright red and still everything be ok thou.

But
I would say that everything is ok as brown blood is the old
Blood

Alicejj8x · 30/06/2018 12:53

@clairehr
My symptoms do exactly that! One day like yday I felt
So rubbish half way through the day for a few hours and then felt
Ok then felt sick
But today I've woken up I don't feel
Sick but feel very tired but nothing how I did yday. I think it's normal
For our symptoms to fluctuate :)

@Leonora94 oh that's totally normal hun for
You to not have any symptoms. Each pregnancy and person is different :) and next week you could experience all the symptoms I
If you get me :) try not to worry we're all here for support thou :)

I haven't had major symptoms
Tbh I am around 6 weeks now I think but not 100% sure and I get nausea off and on but that's only just started, sore boobs on and off and then the tiredness but some days I wake up and feel perfectly normal xx

seafoodeatit · 30/06/2018 12:54

Brown spotting isn't a concern but I know it can be stressful none the less, especially when you've experienced a miscarriage before.

It could what was left from last time ? I've had three miscarriages in the past and am permanently on edge when I go to the loo, I had pink spotting the morning after sex two days ago and am too scared to do anything again even though rational part of me knows it's common.

clairehr · 30/06/2018 13:06

@Notasgreenascabbagelooking Without being too personal - have you done anything that might have knocked your cervix, or irritated you inside? There's a LOT of blood flowing down there at the moment and anything that aggravates can cause a small 'old' or new bleed. My internal scan seemed to cause some bleeding, which soon cleared up. Brown blood does seem to suggest old blood which is nothing to worry about.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 30/06/2018 13:15

I haven’t done anything that I can think of... carried a box at work yesterday up two flights of stairs, wasn’t particularly big or heavy though..? Haven’t had sex or any activities with DP..

I’m trying really hard not to acknowledge I’m pregnant in a way... so that I’m not too gutted if it goes wrong. I don’t think I’m managing that too well!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 30/06/2018 13:33

Thank you all by the way. No responses in pregnancy as predicted 🙄

Did anyone used to use Bounty forums in previous pregnancies?

fizzledays · 30/06/2018 15:37

6+6 and had my early scan this morning, right shape, size and length of 6mm with a little heartbeat! Most amazing feeling and such a relief at this stage 💗

Due February 2019 part 2
clairehr · 30/06/2018 16:40

@Notasgreenascabbagelooking The first time I miscarried the blood was bright red, the second it started as what I can only describe as coffee grounds for a few days continuous and then turned to red. So I'd definitely say that brown blood is fine. Is it around the time of your period at all? I've heard that can happen to some people too.

@fizzledays That is amazing, huge congratulations, what a cute scan!

Alicejj8x · 30/06/2018 17:12

@fizzledays congrats hun xxx
