New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

@Notquiteagandt when I started spotting last year I went straight to A&E. The hospital referred me for my scan. Give your gp a miss and get yourself checked to put your mind at rest. Xx

somethingfromnothing · 29/06/2018 15:05

Hey! I had a scan today due to my previous mc and ectopic. Measures 7+1 which is one day ahead of what I thought I was and saw the wee heart beating. There was a small area in my uterus which is bleeding which explains the spotting but midwife wasn’t bothered about it. I’ve to go back at 10 weeks for another wee check to see how things are growing. Trying not to get too carried away but after loosing 6 pregnancies I never thought we would get to this stage.

booxox · 29/06/2018 15:54

@AliceRR that's good haha, I've just had a Cadbury's dairy milk McFlurry! Was the most amazing thing ever.

She generally had no idea. She bled every month like normal (a little lighter) and didn't really get sick and if she did she just put it down to a sickness bug. Her placenta was at the front so she didn't feel Aurora move or kick. The first she knew about it was when she wet herself in the cinema (water breaking) then had a really bad tummy ache. It's scary though isn't it xx

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 15:55

Can you go in hot baths, jacuzzis etc whist preg??
We're away this weekend in a little owls look out glamping retreat & they have a big hot bath you heat with your own fire etc is it ok to go in?

AliceRR · 29/06/2018 16:23

Alicejj8x you are not supposed to go in jacuzzi or hot tubs but I think a hot bath is ok. I believe the difference is a bath cools down bit a jacuzzi or hot tub stays at a hot temp.

AliceRR · 29/06/2018 16:23

@booxox I should have just got a McFlurry!! 🙈

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 16:29

Thank you!! I think
I'll pass and just dip my legs in.. do you think that would be ok xx

AliceRR · 29/06/2018 16:51

@alicejj8x I would have thought so. Just dont get too hot

bubblybrit · 29/06/2018 17:31

@LookingAtTheStars89. I’m not too bad thanks. I’m the opposite to a lot of lovely ladies here - I’m constipated and it’s causing mayhem with my cramps. Make them a million times worse! I also only feel nauseous but no sickness for me....yet! Got my MW appointment on 6th July. Hope yours went well today xx

Notquiteagandt · 29/06/2018 17:34

@@alicejj8x think it is more to do with an increased body tempture anyways and risk of fainting rather than causing actual damage.

Notquiteagandt · 29/06/2018 17:35

@alicejj8x enjoy though sounds wonderful!

Seafoodeatit · 29/06/2018 17:45

There is some debate on very hot water and it affecting development in the early weeks, there is a small link I believe between neural development and excessive heat but generally it's about your blood pressure I think.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 29/06/2018 17:50

I love a really hot bath... and I’ve read that you shouldn’t have one in the first trimester. Thankfully it’s so hot... a warm bath is sufficient.

Getting through winter with no steaming baths would’ve killed me!

fizzledays · 29/06/2018 18:07

I feel like I've been hit by a truck today! I am exhausted, hyper emotional (was crying at work which I could get away with due to other things going on) and the thought of food makes me feel so sick...the only times I've been able to eat today is when I've then felt sick from hunger, it's bonkers. I was so determined to eat healthy and continue gentle exercise but when I do want to eat it's nothing but beige food! 🙈

maxiflump1 · 29/06/2018 18:23

@fizzledays I have days like that! Yesterday I could barely lift my head of the sofa but today I feel fine! It's like a game of roulette where I open my eyes in the morning!

@Alicejj8x I work at a Spa and we have to advise ladies not to use the heated facilities as it affects core body temperature and blood pressure.

We suggest speaking to midwife first to see what she suggests as it can be different for each lady, so could be worth giving her a call and seeing what she thinks for you.

ClaireLouise82 · 29/06/2018 18:43

@somethingfromnothing - so pleased to hear everything went well with your scan. Its a very reassuring feeling to know everything is progressing as it should be and seeing the little heart beating xx

I went for my scan yesterday, everything was fine and I saw the little heart beat Smile. Baby is currently measuring 2.16cm which brings my EDD forward by 5 days to 1st Feb which means I'm 9 weeks today, which has surprised me as my cycles are very regular and always 28 days long but I'll discuss with my Midwife on Monday. At least I'm still due in Feb so can stay on this thread 🙂xx

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 18:50

Thank you ladies for the advice.

I only dipped my legs in for a few minutes then watched from the side :)

We could control the temp luckily but still didn't take the risk
Of getting in :)

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 18:52

@clairehr I'm going to a hen do in July and it's at bath spa!!

Is going in the swimming pools ok? I'll just stay away from the hot baths and the other bits that's a no go zone :)

somethingfromnothing · 29/06/2018 18:56

@clairelouise82 that’s a great scan pic!

I’m melting in this heat! 4 months ago there was so much snow I couldn’t open our back door and it was 31C yesterday. Not used to this in the West of Scotland!

Yakadee · 29/06/2018 18:59

@ClaireLouise82 - aww cute pic!! I'm jealous x

Babybeany · 29/06/2018 19:02

@ClaireLouise82 congratulations on your scan! 💖 x

booxox · 29/06/2018 19:06

@Alicejj8x I'm a swimming teacher and so I'm in the pool everyday and pretty much all day at the moment as I'm not in Uni for the summer. I've been told it's absolutely fine just not to get into really warm pools or a jacuzzi. Hope that helps, Bath spa is amazing! I go there all the time when I visit my parents, have you been before? The roof top pool is incredible at night, have a lovely time xx

booxox · 29/06/2018 19:09

@ClaireLouise82 Congratulations, such an amazing picture! How long did the scan take? I've got mine next week x

Alicejj8x · 29/06/2018 19:10

@booxox
