New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

Morning all! I'm struggling with clothing too: living in elasticated light weight summer trousers at the moment. I had my booking in appointment this morning and all went well. Going to be consultant led this time due to tearing badly last time and likely be having a c section.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately I'm still bleeding lightly, but I'm not too sure if it's because I have a clotting disorder. I have haemophilia so that might have something to do with it. I have a scan at the epu booked for sat but ok so nervous and upset right now I have paid for one for Thursday afternoon. Hopefully everything is okay!

Such lovely news about the scan today x

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 11:55

@welshweasel
Ahh I hope your scan goes ok let us know :)
Yes I am a nanny of twins 1 year so I feel your pain with the heat and the kids ahaha

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 11:57

@Babybeany thank you. We didn't actually get to hear it but we saw it flickering away :) I think some play it and some hospitals don't maybe they like it to be really strong before? But I saw it flickering away :)
Thank you yes I am confident I ovulated later which would put me at 5 weeks so does add up for me but I think they just go my last period which I understand but they just don't listen to me when I say it's later I ovulated. Just hope it continues :)

Ahh really? I think you can self refer? So if you have the number I would do that??

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 11:59

@hayleyfx
Thanks :)
Yes I think your right it matches to when I think I ovulated from
The OPKs anyway so I am
Going to go with my dates :) but yes lovely to see that little heart beat going xx

Babybeany · 27/06/2018 12:24

@Alicejj8x I think if I still haven’t heard anything by next week I might call up independently. I self referred for the scan, and last time when I did that I had a call arranging my scan and first midwife appointment. I have my scan but not midwife this time. I just don’t want to have been forgotten 😕 x

Celebelly · 27/06/2018 12:27

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone is well. Just back from a long weekend to Berlin. We had a great time. Got home to my scan appointment for July 23 so I'll be 11+3 or so I think. Exciting!

kahstorm · 27/06/2018 12:54

That's great news @Celebelly! X

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 13:02

@Babybeany
Yeah I don't blame you jisy wait and see then next week if you've heard nothing I would call! Xxx

ClaireLouise82 · 27/06/2018 13:28

Hi Ladies

Sorry I've not posted for a while. I'm 8 weeks exactly today 😀 I've got my scan booked in tomorrow evening. With not having many symptoms I'm having to remind myself that I'm pregnant sometimes so I'm hoping the scan will make it a bit more real 🤣

@Alicejj8x - congratulations on your scan and glad everything was ok. Its so reassuring when you see that little heart beating xx

@Babybeany - I've got my midwife appointment on Monday but not got my 12 week scan booked yet, I rang my GP when I found out and they booked me straight in with the midwife. I'm hoping she will book my scan in as that is what happened in my last pregnancy. It sounds like different regions have different processes though. I am certainly finding that time is dragging in these first 12 weeks! x

Babybeany · 27/06/2018 13:36

@ClaireLouise82 When I called my gp initially I was told to self refer on line. When I fell pregnant last year this worked well and I had my scan and midwife appointment booked within a few weeks. It just feels strange to have a scan booked and nothing else. It’s so confusing that it changes from region to region. Fx for your scan tomorrow. Let us know how it all goes. Time is definitely dragging! I’m only at the start of week 7 and it feels like it’s been months already! 🤪 x

fizzledays · 27/06/2018 14:47

@Babybeany @ClaireLouise82 I have genuinely never found time to move so slowly....!!!

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 15:01

@ClaireLouise82 it really is isn't it just to make you have that sigh of relief lol

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 27/06/2018 15:43

I’m 6+3 today... and bloated. At this stage it is definitely bloat (I’ve read at least) and the uterus is still well within the pelvis until around 12 weeks.

I’m having to eat constantly to keep the nausea at bay so there’ll be a new layer of fat there soon 🙄

I’m usually a UK size 8-10... Christ knows what I’ll end up as. Today’s munching so far are;

2 slices of jam on toast, 4 bananas, 3 packets of crisps, a cheese twist pastry, a boost choc bar and a strawberry yazoo milkshake and a neopolitan ice cream in chocolate wafers 😳

I’m starving now 😩😩

Babybeany · 27/06/2018 15:51

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking hahaha! I thought the same thing! I have really tried to keep it healthy, I’m on an avocado and poached egg on toast with grated cheese, a banana, orange, apple, bag of skips and a handful of mini vanilla wafer square thingymabobs! Just thinking about a sandwich or chocolate spread on toast.... hmmm..... all I keep reading about is how you shouldn’t eat for two as well! There is definitely going to be an extra layer of chub! 🤣

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 27/06/2018 16:11

I had morning sickness with my older two kids... but with them I was actually sick every day, for most of the day. This time is just 24/7 nausea but I actually think it’s worse! At least when I was sick it kind of makes you feel better for a short while... this nausea is just constant! 🤢🤢

Alicejj8x · 27/06/2018 16:53

Hope your scan goes ok @MrsY87

AliceRR · 27/06/2018 17:02

I’m definitely feeling “big”. I’m 8+2 so it should just be bloat. Already not wearing trousers to work as they’re uncomfortable. Restricted to certain dresses. Almost don’t care if a look a bit bloated as I know I’m pregnant but everyone else doesn’t so it’s difficult. Need to buy some summery / floaty dresses!

Celebelly · 27/06/2018 17:12

I look about five months preg already! Obv all bloat. It's quite nice to pretend tho that it's cos of baby!

topsyturvy123 · 27/06/2018 17:23

Hi ladies,

First baby,aged 32,currently 7w 5days based on last period,due first midwife appointment on 5/7/18 where I will be 8 weeks 6 days.based on rough dates should be due around 8/2/19

I'm in Northern Ireland so not sure if the way things go is any different here.

Currently in Dublin for a few days preplanned break with hubby-I was telling him we should go to krakow in October as our last holiday together thinking that would be fine-I'm struggling big time with tiredness and the heat at this early stage so think that idea was a bit optimistic!

Feeling massively bloated and I know part of this is because I have been eating quite badly in Dublin,but also eating plain carbs quite a lot to help with nauseousness-had been doing slimming world for the past few months and lost nearly a stone and really wanted to continue on the plan as it is fine for pregnancy but slimming world friendly foods don't seem to be agreeing with me nauseusness wise! Anyone else struggling with this?

ClaireLouise82 · 27/06/2018 18:02

@Babybeany - Thankyou. I'm really excited about the scan but a bit nervous too. Hopefully everything will be ok. It is strange how different regions have different systems. My midwife is based at my GP so it was quite straightforward for me. I am actually seeing the same one that I had with my first child which is over 6 years ago now so that's nice. It does seem strange to have a scan and no midwife appointment though as you usually see the midwife between 8-10 weeks I think. It might be worth contacting someone to see what's going on. Hope you get it sorted xx

@fizzledays - I usually find that time flies but not at the moment - I'm hoping it'll speed up a bit after 12 weeks xx

@Alicejj8x - Completely agree. It just makes it all seem so much more real. xx

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - I'm constantly eating at the moment too but I've not got any nausea. I just find I'm constantly hungry and it is unhealthy things that I'm craving too. I daren't weigh myself at the moment lol xx

ClaireLouise82 · 27/06/2018 18:09

@topsyturvy123 - congratulations. I've not got any nausea but I'm feeling hungry all the time and healthy foods are not doing it for me either. WelI done on your weight loss - I went to slimming world after the birth of my first child and have kept the weight off until now! I was hoping not too put too much on this time but I feel like I'm already starting to show (could be to do with its my second child or all the food I'm eating lol) I figure I'll probably join slimming world again after the birth xx

jeanzbeanz · 27/06/2018 18:34

Argh I have felt like I'm just millimetres from crying all day. I've really had enough of all the nausea and retching. I just want to feel like myself again. Not sure whether I need sympathy or a slap in the face. Feeling really really sorry for myself.

MrsY87 · 27/06/2018 18:41

Scan went well I'm measuring a week behind so 6w rather than the 7w I thought I was but we got to see two heartbeats as it's TWINS!! Eeekk!! It's obviously very early days but all being well I'm going to have 3 under 17m and a 4yr old! 😱 shell shocked to say the least!

MrsY87 · 27/06/2018 18:44

Sorry now just catching up with the thread...glad your scan went well @Alicejj8x

Glad to hear some of you are eating loads too, I'm absolutely starving all the time & if I don't eat I end up feeling sick 🤢 which isn't great! Off out for dinner with some friends tonight luckily I can use driving as my excuse for not drinking!
