New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

@sugarmonkey I already had the scan on the 6th booked, as that was to be my first official scan, the nuchal translucency one. However my midwife referred me for this one due to bleeding and previous MMCs.
However, i think (and my midwife does) that they’ve made N error booking the nuchal one as easily as they have... so she’s told me to keep it anyway, it’ll be another chance to see if the pregnancy is progressing and they’ll have to rebook me in for the nuchal translucency.

I feel a lot more relaxed!

Sugarmonkey · 26/06/2018 15:17

Ahh well that's great they are not far apart. What is a nuchal translucency?

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 26/06/2018 15:17

As early not as easily...

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 26/06/2018 15:18

It’s the dating scan where they measure the nuchal fold and other markers that indicate Down’s syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities.

Sugarmonkey · 26/06/2018 15:53

Is that done on the first official scan then 12-14 wks.Sorry I haven't seen a midwife and have no clue what to expect lol

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 26/06/2018 16:08

Yes, ordinarily it’d be your first scan

@Eyedontknow My symptoms have disappeared too, I’m only 6+1 so I’m hoping it’s all ok. Someone suggested it may be the placenta taking over from the yolk sack but I think that is more likely to happen around week 9. I had some odd dreams last night too, no heartbeat on scan etc... I really want to get an early scan but my boyfriend is away with work from now until a week Friday. I couldn’t get one without him there. He’d never forgive me! So I’ll just have to wait another 2 weeks or so. Will you go for an early scan? X

Babybeany · 26/06/2018 16:40

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking congratulations on a lovely scan along with heartbeat! What lovely news! X

Eyedontknow · 26/06/2018 17:15

@Babybeany I think I'd only go for an early scan if I started bleeding or had really severe cramps. Thankfully haven't had either. Personally I feel going for an early scan would just feed anxiety, because it's only temporary reassurance and I'd be right back to worrying then feel I needed to get another scan and so on. I've not got long until my first scan anyway, 3 weeks!

FrowningFlamingo · 26/06/2018 17:16

Really please to hear that NotAsGreen.
I was worrying about my symptoms being absent yesterday but back a bit today. I think they just fluctuated a lot. I think being on here is probably making me obsess about them them more but never mind Grin

Babybeany · 26/06/2018 17:25

@Eyedontknow my first scan isn’t for another 8 weeks! I’m not sure I can wait that long! 😬 x

Leonora94 · 26/06/2018 17:41

So after getting far to emotional about my booking in appointment being cancelled yesterday I got see the midwife today, she was great and told me I was 8 weeks bang on, which was good to hear as different sites say different things...She also told be about the app Baby Buddy which I’ve just downloaded and it seams to be really good. Just booked a scan for next week as I can’t wait till 12 weeks to start telling people! Hoping for a riggly bean 😆

Seafoodeatit · 26/06/2018 17:48

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking fantastic news on your scan!

I've got a 5/6 week wait for my scan, it feels ages away!

Alicejj8x · 26/06/2018 18:17

Soooo nervous Confused

bubblybrit · 26/06/2018 18:33

Has anyone lost weight recently? I’ve lost about 3lbs over the last 2 weeks as have very little appetite. I try and force myself to eat something but that tends to bring on cramps and nausea 😢

Jeshka07 · 26/06/2018 18:47

Hiya ive missed a call with the midwife today and they have booked me in for thursday at 9:30... i didnt get the message til i got home and now not sure if work will let me have the time off... i work in a school but not sure about the rules.. dont really wanna have to rebook cause who knows when it might be next?! Am i likely to get the time off this near to the appointment?!?

seafoodeatit · 26/06/2018 19:14

@bubblybrit I'm losing weight, I've lost almost 5lb now but I'm not worried.

bubblybrit · 26/06/2018 19:22

@seafoodeatit. I wasn’t overly worried until my DH mentioned it. He thought it was a bit unusual but I thought that it would probably balance out once I got my appetite back?

Bluelagoon25 · 26/06/2018 19:59

Just come back from our first scan. I know it's still early days but seeing that little jelly bean and it's heartbeat was amazing! Grin I am 7 weeks 2 days!

I have been feeling so sick and lost weight too... I think it's normal as you're not eating as much or keeping stuff down. X

bubblybrit · 26/06/2018 20:05

@Bluelagoon25. Great news regarding your scan! Hope you feel better soon. I’ve not been sick but feel really nauseous in the morning and in the evening.

Captainchaos8 · 26/06/2018 20:15

Looks like I am having a miscarriage, 5 weeks 6 days. Started off as spotting but ive had lots of bright red blood today. Took a test and the line is barely visible now :( Wishing you all happy healthy pregnancys xx

Alicejj8x · 26/06/2018 20:19

@Captainchaos8 I am so so so sorry Hun! Have you got a scan booked in to confirm????

twiglet · 26/06/2018 20:24

I feel like I've been hit by a bus today! I'm away with work for a few days including a flight at 8 this morning. Was very queasy on the plane then 8 hours in a conference room with no air con 🤢 Thankfully my colleague wanted an early dinner and I managed some food. I'm dreading the rest of it!

Captainchaos8 · 26/06/2018 20:27

I've not got a scan to confirm, there is so much blood I really don't think it will be necessary. I am to test again in 48hrs and if it's still got a faint line then they will scan me but seems a lost cause :(

Sugarmonkey · 26/06/2018 20:54

Oh no bless you. I hope it all works out.
