New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

My symptoms have ebbed as well I think it’s pretty normal around the 6 week mark (what even is normal now though)! All my summery shirt dresses that I normally ware to work when it’s hot can now barley button over my boobs...they fitted 2 weeks ago, it was enough to make me cry this morning 😳😂

clairehr · 26/06/2018 07:37

@Leonora94 Aww! But that's such a good sign, baby will be thankful for it in a few months. My boobs haven't grown very much, my baby is going to wonder why I bother trying I think never been blessed in that department particularly 😂

Leonora94 · 26/06/2018 08:03

I already had quite large boobs maybe that’s why, I don’t think I’m going to BF though.

clairehr · 26/06/2018 08:07

That's totally fair enough, be interesting to see how many here are planning to BF or bottle feed actually 😊

I'm going to give BF a go I thinj, but not convinced I'll be able to, my mum wasn't able to feed me or my brother due to complications and I tend to take after her!

Littleonek · 26/06/2018 08:17

I had the same issue a few days ago symptoms stopped so I thought ow no! A day later they were back with feeling sick again.

My symptoms have decreased but I randomly get bursts of feeling sick and wanted to heave especially if I smell something really bad.

My early scan is next Wednesday, just want time to go super quick as the wait is sooo long!

Leonora94 · 26/06/2018 08:41

Yeah my mum struggled to and I just want to give myself the best chance of recovering/looking after a new born with out a melt down, I know what I’m like and I’d obsess over it and drive myself crazy with worry. Figured it would be one less thing to worry over!

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 08:47

I struggled with my dd, my milk didn't come in for over a week so ended up ff. I'll try again this time but not putting any pressure on myself, this will be my last so want it to be an enjoyable time in the beginning xx

globetrotter2016 · 26/06/2018 08:52

@Leonora94 @clairehr I BF my last for 20 months. Actually found it much easier than bottles as no faff with sterilising bottles in the middle of the night and having to get up and measuring out powder etc... got more rest that way I think but it is such an individual thing so what works for one does not necessarily work for the other...healthy happy mum and baby is the most important thing, never mind how one arrives there ;)

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 10:12

@globetrotter2016 couldn't agree more! I'd love to be able to do it, we shall see x

LookingAtTheStars89 · 26/06/2018 10:28

Fingers crossed I get to the end, I am going to bottle feed this time. I breast fed two Dd's for 18months each time but it seemed to be constant and I was shattered! I also gained weight whilst breast feeding the second time as it messed with my PCOS :-(.

I will breastfeed while I have the colostrum for the first day or two but then I'm switching. I'm not going to let any health professional make me feel guilty either!

MamaSarai · 26/06/2018 11:14

Morning all, been AWOL for a few days as struck down by yet another cold - really struggling not being able to take anything and not sleeping between the stuffy nose and this heat.

Dragged myself back in to work today and frankly wishing I hadn't but not sure I can handle the guilt!

Hope all you ladies are doing well, @NotAsGreenAs hope the scan today goes well.

We had our follow up early scan on Saturday morning, saw our little bean this time heart beating and everything. Bean was very little and the sonographer seemed adamant we were only just 6 weeks but MW is still pushing for 8...not sure who to believe tbh!

Notquiteagandt · 26/06/2018 11:30

Hoping you ladies can help...

Had rather heavy pink discharge all day yesterday and cramping.

Phoned EPU this morning who advised they wont see me until friday or next monday as I had a scan last friday. They wont be able to see anything as cant monitor growth unless a week apart.

As I being brushed off here? Dont like the thought of waiting for 7-10 days for medical management to help pass should I need it.

Trying to be optimistic and failing tbh.

In a plus though severe sickness has kicked in today. So I am taking it as reassurance. That morning sickness has finally kicked in!!

Notquiteagandt · 26/06/2018 11:35

@mamasarai

I am the same.

Sonogrammer said she thought I was late 4-5 weeks. The gynae consultant said she guessed 5-6 weeks. But then my Gp & Midwife are going from my last period dates so put me at 6w5d.

But they said as I was early it was hard to date correctly.

This was on Friday. So god knows what I am at now. Could be anything from 5-7w. Depending on whoses dates I use.

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 11:37

@Notquiteagandt I had pink tinged discharge yesterday and a bit of cramping, but I googled it and was quite reassured it was normal. Not had any today and back to normal. Hope you're ok xx

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 11:37

I read that it could be where the placenta is taking over and there's more blood being produced xx

Leonora94 · 26/06/2018 12:01

@globetrotter2016 I couldn't agree more :)

MamaSarai · 26/06/2018 12:20

@Notquiteagandt It's infuriating isn't it! I thought my dates could be a bit off as I was on the pill the previous month and not convinced the cycle had settled down but didn't think it'd be that different. According to mine I'm anywhere between 6 and 8 weeks.

Regarding the discharge, my MW at the booking appointment basically told me not to worry about it unless it was bright red and there was lots of it. Obviously it's different for everyone, but try not to worry and maybe call the EPU again if it gets any worse?

HannahLucy · 26/06/2018 13:31

@globetrotter2016 I’d love to join the Facebook group. I’m finding it hard to grips with the Mum’s Net format!

globetrotter2016 · 26/06/2018 13:36

@HannahLucy I've PMed you

Is anyone else here a shift worker? I am starting nights tonight and am dreading it... I am so so shattered already and haven't been sleeping well due to heat/toddler/pregnancy and this will probably be my death...

Alicejj8x · 26/06/2018 13:36

globetrotter2016 · 26/06/2018 13:39

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 26/06/2018 14:50

So.... the scan went well, thank you for all well wishes!

Measuring 6+2 (I’m 6+1 by my dates), with a strong heart beat so fingers crossed it’s still going as well on the 6th July - next scan date! 🤞🤞

Sugarmonkey · 26/06/2018 15:05

That's amazing news. How did you get another scan booked so soon?

Eyedontknow · 26/06/2018 15:07

Not sure if I've posted in this one, possibly the first thread? But I came on here to find out if anyone else's symptoms have eased up and see that's what the convo has been today. I'm about 8 weeks I think. My boobs aren't hurting at all today and they've been killing me the last 3 weeks or so. Also little to no nausea. I had a nightmare last night that I went for a wee and there was blood, so that doesn't help my anxiety. Glad to read that others are having similar lack of symptoms.

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 15:12

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking fab news! Pleased for you!

@Eyedontknow my symptoms have settled lots too, still feel rough now and then but nothing like last week xx
