New thread for those ladies due in February 2019. As there is so many of us though we could do with a roll call. If I start hopefully the next can cut and paste and we can have a list of everyone!

Hello everyone, how was everyone's day? I was just wondering how many weeks everyone are/is when they see they're midwife. I saw my GP when I was 6 weeks and he said to book in with the midwife when I was at 10. Looking back I think this is a bit late... I really want to get the ball rolling so I can see my little squish... what does everyone think?? How many weeks are you all if you don't mind me asking? xx

clairehr · 25/06/2018 20:17

@jeanzbeanz Oh my! I really hope they're doing something! I have heard that if you suffer the doctor can prescribe some antisickness drugs to help. How far along are you again? Hoping there's not too much longer to suffer 😔

Since2016 · 25/06/2018 20:17

@booxox it entirely depends. With DD I saw the midwife after my 12 week scan (done at 13 weeks). Summer is hard as everyone goes on leave! We self refer from 6 weeks and there's a national target to be seen by 10 weeks. So basically, refer now if you're >6 weeks and should get an appt before 10 weeks. Xx

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 25/06/2018 20:18

I’m 6+1 today and had my first booking in appointment (see post earlier today for full details). I definitely wouldn’t want to wait till 10 weeks..

clairehr · 25/06/2018 20:20

@booxox Hello!! I'm 6weeks, saw doctor at 5weeks because they wouldn't give me an appointment earlier than that. And apparently should have MW booking app around week 8. Although mine is slightly different as I've had MC so they want to monitor me more than normal apparently. 10 weeks seems ok as still gives 2-3 weeks to get your first scan booked in.

Celebelly · 25/06/2018 20:26

I was 6.6mm at 6+3! No idea if that's normal or not. Stressing about a big baby as DP is big and he casually dropped into conversation that his cousin was 11 pounds 🙈🙈🙈

clairehr · 25/06/2018 20:35

If anyone is interested in CRL this is a good link: www.fetalmedicine.com/fmf/2010_27.pdf

Scroll to where it has gestational age against CRL in a table. These are just averages though and some babies are more curled up or straighter out than others so it's all a gestimate 😊

clairehr · 25/06/2018 20:38

@celebelly Around 'normal' (whatever the hell that is in pregnancy!) for your gestation according to the below link 😊 Never an exact science though!

jeanzbeanz · 25/06/2018 20:38

@clairehr I'm 7.5 weeks I think!! Although the MW insists I'm a week further on. Yes if the nausea continues like this I'll have to go see a doctor, although I don't even have the energy to make a phone call never mind actually go to the surgery.

A friend of mine suggested trying homeopathic remedies for nausea. I've not got much faith in homeopathy but at this stage I'm willing to try anything. Anyone had any experience with it?

Celebelly · 25/06/2018 20:38

Ooh that's interesting! My baby is not a giant! Whew! ;)

Bluebeee · 25/06/2018 20:39

@booxox I'm 7+1 and have my booking in for when I'm 8+4. I'm tempted to say my lmp was a week earlier than it really was to get the scan sooner. Bit naughty perhaps. With dd I had 21 day cycles but they based it on 28 days because that's just what they do. The dating scan said my calculations were right so they kind of owe me a week anyway ?

Sugarmonkey · 25/06/2018 20:45

Had my scan today, I'm so relieved everything was fine. Measuring at 8mm, 6+6.i heard the heart beat.. after all the pain and spotting I'm so relieved. No nasties were found!

clairehr · 25/06/2018 20:52

@sugarmonkey That is FAB news, huge congratulations!

welshweasel · 25/06/2018 20:54

So I had the midwife come round to the house last week (7 weeks) but it was literally a quick hello and rundown of my history - ni bloods or anything. My proper booking in is at the hospital at the same time as my scan - I’ll be 12+5. Last time I was pregnant I had the full booking in at my doctors surgery at 10 weeks then just a scan at the hospital, didn’t see anyone afterwards. It’s funny how it’s so different in different areas.

I’m feeling knackered today. Had last week off work but back in today and it took it out of me. Still feeling sick but perhaps a little less than before.

I’m sure I can already feel my uterus above my pelvic bone, much earlier than last time, anyone else?

Alicejj8x · 25/06/2018 21:05

After worrying
About no morning sickness / nausea the nausea has defo hit me through out the day and really bad tonight with a bubbling feeling
In my belly :/

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 25/06/2018 21:11

I don’t know how to feel for the uterus.. is it easy to explain it should I google?

The thought of putting any pressure on my abdomen right now though makes me feel even more queasy 🤢

maxiflump1 · 25/06/2018 21:36

Congrats @Sugarmonkey that's great news about your scan.

I am 7+4 and have my booking in appointment with mw on weds.

I'd rather not join any Facebook group until I have my 12 week scan.... quite happy to stay anonymous with all you lovely ladies on here Wink

@Bee4S she rang me around 10 days after I handed the forms in, and arranged to come out 9th July when I'll be over 8 weeks, in her words. So I'd imagine I'd get a scan date letter after that appt, that's what happened with dd. I don't think they do bloods on booking in here, just a urine sample, sure that was at a 16 week midwife appt.

I think we want everything to happen now because each appt is a little milestone, so it's totally normal to be impatient x

hayley013 · 25/06/2018 21:44

I don't think I'd know about where my uterus is, I'm getting really bloated after a meal though, makes me feel a little anxious about what's to come, those hormones playing havoc x

hayley013 · 25/06/2018 21:45

This hot weather is absolutely exhausting me, I could sleep so much! Just a taste of what's to come over summer id imagine haha.

@Sugarmonkey congrats on the scan xx

Bee4S · 25/06/2018 22:26

@hayley013 Thanks for that! Makes me feel a little better about the process, I just wish that the midwife explained this in a little more detail this morning so that I wasn't so confused! 😂 And yes these weeks are definitely dragging!

Babybeany · 26/06/2018 06:28

Morning mummies, I’m absolutely terrified I have mmc’d again! I had loads of symptoms last week, cramping, headaches, tiredness and heavy boobs... now I’m down to nothing! Zilch! I just did the worst thing anyone can do and googled it! Google told me the symptoms of a mc are near on the same as the above. I should be 6+1 today. Is this too soon for a scan to see a heartbeat?! I’m not sure I can go through another mmc 😢

clairehr · 26/06/2018 06:36

@babybeany Please don't panic, I did exactly this on Saturday, the loss of symptoms scared me silly, so when I got abdominal cramps Sunday I ended up in A+E. An emergency scan yesterday (6+1) showed baby all snug and heart beating away. Go get yourself checked to put your mind at rest. But nurses told me that actually loss of symptoms around 6-8 weeks can be normal as the first surge of hormones abates before another kicks in.

hayley013 · 26/06/2018 07:12

Oh @Babybeany I hope you're ok, if it helps my symptoms have really reduced too over the last week xx

Yakadee · 26/06/2018 07:24

I read that as the placenta starts to take over symptoms do decrease. I'm sure it's just that but get checked out to put your mind at ease xx
