@December2018 so sorry to hear about your fall, how stressful! Hope all is ok, sounds like they are taking good care of you and bubs though

Stephisaur · 19/07/2018 17:40

@december2018 glad to hear that bub is doing ok and that they’re keeping an eye on you 💕

kaytees · 19/07/2018 17:56

@December2018 glad you're ok and being monitored - sounds like they are looking after you. Hope you can get some rest x

ND348 · 19/07/2018 18:53

Oh @December2018 you poor thing! Glad things don't seem to be more serious, hopefully the monitoring will show baby is doing ok ones it recovered from the shock xxx

Gemsie1984 · 19/07/2018 19:17

@December2018 glad everything is okay.. must've been so worrying for you x

emwithme · 19/07/2018 19:43

Am glad you're being looked after @December2018

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 19/07/2018 21:01

Sending careful hugs your way @December2018 - I think I held my breath the entire time before you posted an update!!! So relieved to hear you're being well taken care of xxx

Cakelaur · 19/07/2018 21:19

@December2018 I'm so glad you both are ok. Rest up and take care of yourself. Hopefully bubs heartrate will return to normal soon enough. Sending hugs. Xx

MagicalCreatures · 19/07/2018 22:30

@December2018 oh how scary for you. Atleast your being monitored and thank goodness baby seems ok. I’ve been thinking about you all day.
Is the clot anything to worry about though. I take it that the full did cause the clot x x

Hi all - 20 week scan this morning. All good and baby looks happy in there. I am still placenta praevia so am now looking at a further scan and possibly planned section (which I have absolutely no reservations about at all - c sections are fine by me and certainly better than bleeding to death!) also can’t fly until after baby is born or go anywhere remote. But I am happy and relaxed about it.

December2018 · 20/07/2018 15:09

Hey ladies I've just got home and I'm on the sofa with my feet up lol
What a night!!
Well baby's heart rate is still a little fast but nothing to worry about, I have to take it easy and not do any heavy lifting and sort of bed rest for 7 days, I've been signed off work for the next week also
The blood clot was caused by the fall but it should heal up on its own.... I might try and push work for another week off so it takes me up until my 20 week scan to make sure he's all ok
.... I've thrown those stupid slippers in the bloody bin!!
Thanks girls xxx

balalalala · 20/07/2018 18:09

Great news that you're back home and all is fine.

kaytees · 20/07/2018 18:19

So glad you're home now @December2018 - definitely time for a new pair of slippers! Plus you'll need them with a winter baby getting up in the cold nights. Treat yourself! I hope work give you the extra week.

@AGirlinLondon sounds like they're keeping a good eye on you. With you on the openness to planned section, if that's what's safe for you and baby then that's what's best!

I've had a bit of a rough 24hrs. My generally lovely toddler had a well aimed kick that hit bump yesterday and not long after I ended up with new pains, then today the tiniest amount of bleeding. Enough to send me for a (extortionately expensive last minute) scan. Baby, placenta all fine so I've just been told to have a rest. He couldn't get a super clear view of baby's bits but said as he couldn't see anything obvious his money is on girl, so I'll be interested to see if he is right in a couple of weeks!

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 20/07/2018 18:22

Such good news @December2018 love that you threw out the evil slippers 😂😂

@AGirlinLondon yay that you had a good scan!! Do I remember correctly that you tend to travel quite a lot with work? Regardless, very pleased for you that you have nice clear supportive instructions and seem to be taking them extremely well. Sending hugs xx

MagicalCreatures · 20/07/2018 19:08

@December2018 so pleased for you Hun. Thank goodness everything is ok. Keep your feet up and make sure everyone looks after you. What a scare!!!
@AGirlinLondon I agree that whatever gets baby here safely, should be done. I had A friend kick up a real stink about having to have a planned c-section for placenta previa and I just thought, get that baby out safely. What does it matter. I know for some it’s not the ideal situation but nows not the time.
@kaytees not you aswell. Will everyone stop with the Bump kicking and falls please so my anxiety can ease up for a second 😂 hope your ok sweetie and fingers crossed for a little girl. We need more girls x x x

Oh god @kaytees just read your message! So glad scan was clear, if a bit pricey - worth it to feel the relief though I'm sure!!

Ok silly question, is anyone else drinking peppermint tea? I have avoided every kind of tea so far but had real tummy ache the other day so tried it and it helped straight away. Now I'm having a few cups a day. Have seen conflicting info online... am I being irresponsible?
Hormones flying EVERYWHERE today which isn't helping me second guessing! Xx

kaytees · 20/07/2018 20:25

@GoldilocksTheGraceless never heard anything about peppermint tea (will resist googling). For what it's worth I drank a couple of cups a day for my entire first pregnancy and didn't see any side effects! I know we're meant to avoid raspberry leaf tea until 37 weeks as it can bring on contractions.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 20/07/2018 20:36

Thanks @kaytees I'm going with that!!!

AGirlinLondon · 20/07/2018 22:52

Thanks everyone I really appreciate your comments! Yes @Goldilocks it was me who flies a lot - but work are being great and there is no upcoming travel planned so I get a nice long break from that! 😊

ND348 · 21/07/2018 08:51

@GoldilocksTheGraceless I drink bucket loads of peppermint tea as I don't drink normal tea or coffee, I asked my midwife at my 8 week appointment and she said it was fine. Also helps with heartburn!

ND348 · 21/07/2018 08:54

On a different ote gas anyone been referee to physio for SPD? My midwife said she was going to refer me nearly 3 weeks ago and nothing has come through yet. I went to the doctor about it before asking the midwife and doctor said go through midwife it's quicker as will take 4 weeks through doctors...
It's getting pregessively worse (though still bearable at the moment) but not sure if I should try and chase it next week?
I had physio for about 6 months last year for various hip and knee issues and am hypermobile so was high risk for getting it!

AGirlinLondon · 21/07/2018 10:39

@ND348 def chase midwives again, maybe even call day assessment. Horrible thing and needs to be seen to.

Gemsie1984 · 21/07/2018 12:37

@ND348 yes my GP referred me about 4 weeks ago. I heard back this week and I'm not being seen until the end of August when I'll be 25 weeks 😐 to be fair my SPD is manageable at the moment, just flares when I take on too much.

In other news, has anyone else got a really achey bump? I feel like Jack is really low down today and it's hurting my belly to walk even a little bit.. is it his position maybe? I've been getting a lot of kicks to my cervix.

RomPom · 21/07/2018 15:47

Just thought I'd share my little nugget. Had a private scan and Harmony test this morning. Sonographer couldn't tell me the sex as I was measuring 15+6 but I'm pretty sure I saw the 3 girly lines. Now the long wait for the Harmony results and confirmation it's a girl!

MagicalCreatures · 21/07/2018 17:11

Awww @RomPom. That’s lovely. Nice to meet you little nugget 😁 how long do the results take to come back? X x
