I was wondering if I was over reacting just a tad bit, but whenever anyone hears what she was like, they say the exact same thing! changing her asap! and I'm also sorry to hear that @kaytees i think midwives think that if its your first child, they can treat you as if your stupid or something, but they shouldn't do it, it only makes them look the silly ones, and i hope all ended up being ok with your little one though SmileFlowers xx

kaytees · 18/07/2018 21:39

Nope @SavanahXx you've definitely done the right thing by the sounds! My son was absolutely fine thank goodness - I think that midwife wasn't well and decided having to send me for growth scans would be too hard (which if she was sick is fair enough) but it did result in a mahoosive baby not being realised until 39 weeks when I got a new one (who was AMAZING and did so much to help me!) and then a difficult birth. Luck of the draw I think!

SavanahXx · 18/07/2018 21:53

bloody hell @kaytees sounds very scary [shocked] I'm so glad that everything worked out for you, think some midwives are just lazy and don't want the extra work.

SunshineSnowflakesDaydreams · 19/07/2018 02:04

@SavanahXx I think I'd be looking at a new midwife too. Her bedside manner sounds terrible. What I would say though is you will come across midwives like this throughout your pregnancy. I think they've dealt with so many women and have done their job for so long they kind of forget that it can be woman's first time. I loved my community midwife but when I look back on my labour I'm still a bit disappointed by some of the midwives in the hospital who just assumed I knew something or that someone else had told me. Find someone you click with because they should be a massive source of support for you and this one doesn't sound like she'll be of any comfort to you. Good luck on your search!

MagicalCreatures · 19/07/2018 07:52

@RomPom mother in laws!!! 🙄 I agree with @AGirlinLondon BAN THEM ALL!!! 😂

@SavanahXx that sounds awful. I think you have a right to suggest moving to a different one. Like someone else said, you have to click. Mine hasn’t been that rude. Mine just seems bored and not very genuine. X

The MIL isn't completely awful....she did drive 2 hours to bring me a cottage pie because I hadn't eaten properly for a few days. But she will go on about this selfless act for the next 6 months 😂

Gemsie1984 · 19/07/2018 08:12

Morning..
Listening again this morning to Jack's HB and the irregularity is more pronounced than previously. It's making me really very concerned. Going to get him checked but don't know who I call? On the front of my maternity notes it says 20 weeks delivery suite? That doesn't seem like the right people! Should I just give my MW group a call? I'm under two lots tho, regular MW and high risk.. which ones?

Stephisaur · 19/07/2018 08:41

Wow Savanah, your MW sounds like a right bitch!! I don't think I have a permanent MW, but if I did and she talked to me like that I would definitely be asking for another one!

@Gemsie1984 I think that's what my notes say too. I would give the high risk MW a call and ask what to do.

I have just burst into tears at work (it's not even 9am yet!) because I've had a shit night's sleep and I can't get comfy on my chair! DH has then been to find me several alternative chairs from around the office/warehouse and none of them were comfy either :( I'm a hormonal mess today!

SunshineSnowflakesDaydreams · 19/07/2018 08:56

@Gemsie1984 also consider popping straight up to the fetal assessment unit and get everything checked out.

@Stephisaur nothing like pregnancy hormones to make you feel like you've lost the plot!

December2018 · 19/07/2018 10:20

I think this is going to be a shit day all around ladies!
I've only gone and fell down the stairs straight on my stomach, I'm cramping and bleeding a little so I've covered my work and I'm going the hospital now....
fell on my stupid bloody fucking slipper!!

Roomarmoset · 19/07/2018 10:25

Morning ladies. Is anyone having problems with their teeth? Pat of my tooth fell out this morning and this will be my third trip to the dentist since the pregnancy began. I'm a bit worried that I'll have no teeth left by the end!

Gemsie1984 · 19/07/2018 10:45

@December2018 shit!!! Hope you're okay x

Roomarmoset · 19/07/2018 10:46

Sorry @december2018 just read your post. Hope you're okay xx

Stephisaur · 19/07/2018 11:14

OMG @December2018 hope you and baby are ok :(

@Roomarmoset my gums are more sensitive, but that's about it. Teeth problems are common from what I can gather.

MagicalCreatures · 19/07/2018 11:16

@December2018 oh darling. You poor thing. You must be so worried. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything is ok. It’s so bloody typical. Be careful and let us know how you get on. X

balalalala · 19/07/2018 12:11

@december2018 how scary for you! Hope all is OK.

RomPom · 19/07/2018 12:12

@December2018 I hope you and baby are both ok.

@Roomarmoset when I was pregnant with DD I went for a check up and was told I needed 3 fillings. Never had one before. This time round, I've got bleeding gums and I'm scared about having a check up!

Lostalldirection · 19/07/2018 12:12

Hello everyone can I join?

I have two children aged three and two and found out a couple of months ago we're having a third due 16 Dec. Completely unplanned, completely unexpected I thought the next step for me would be the menopause. Still trying to come to terms with it.....I'm 45.

Stephisaur · 19/07/2018 13:24

Welcome @lostalldirection :)

Sounds like quite a bit to get your head around!

AGirlinLondon · 19/07/2018 13:27

@December check in with us when you’re home!

Cakelaur · 19/07/2018 13:43

@December2018 hope you and bub are ok babe. What a scare!!

December2018 · 19/07/2018 16:57

Hey ladies I had a scan at the hospital and babba is fine but there is a small blood clot on the outer wall of my placenta (where I hit my stomach)
Baby's heart rate is a bit quick too probably from the shock so I'm being kept in for monitoring to make sure the baby is ok thru the night and hopefully I should be allowed home tomorrow
Such a horrid, horrid day! XX
Thanks for all your support ladies I'm so glad I have you lot
