Oh @Gemsie1984 that sounds stressful - definitely call midwife if you're at all worried, they really don't mind checking you and baby are ok. As others have said it could just be that baby was wriggling and interfering with heartbeat, but always go with your instinct on these things.

@MagicalCreatures snap - that's the same day as my 20 week scan!

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 17/07/2018 09:43

Hey @Gemsie1984 hope you're feeling a bit more settled- have you had time to have another go yet this morning?

@emwithme have a great time this afternoon! I know your nervous so I'll be excited for you 😂 can't wait to find out later! ❤️

Thank you to everyone for your clever ideas on pram shopping. Out of interest this is a link to the one we saw in the shop: www.stokke.com/GBR/en-gb/pram/stokke-xplory/4997.html

It's 899 just for the chassis and stroller seat, it's another few hundred for the carry cot!! 🤦‍♀️ to be fair this was the first pram we have ever looked at so it's nice to know what our pretend life could be like 😂 mothercare sounds much more like it!!!

Gemsie1984 · 17/07/2018 09:52

@GoldilocksTheGraceless yeah I had a listen this morning after the kids left. It seemed a bit settled, still heard two missed beats but wasn't as crazy as last night. He wasn't as fidgety this morning so maybe movement did have an impact..

December2018 · 17/07/2018 10:24

I'm glad he's a little more settled this morning hun, I would deffo still give the MW a call and just get yourself checked out... my Doppler has given me some scares I'll tell you! I love it but I hate it equally just as Much lol

emwithme I'm sooooo exited for you! Can't wait to find out now I'll be checking this thread every 5 mins 😂
💙💖

December2018 · 17/07/2018 10:25

Ohh and I'll have a brekkie too 😜
I've just had crunchy nut cornflakes and they just didn't do it for me at all 😁

AGirlinLondon · 17/07/2018 12:45

Hey everyone - in case you have one near you, the Mothercare near us is closing down and everything is 20% off - more for display items.

I got a snuzpod and a yoyo zen pram today. We travel A LOT so needed the lightest pram we could find - it is amazing.

December2018 · 17/07/2018 12:52

I just ordered a tommee tippee complete feeding set in Black for £70!
I would like to go in store and look at the prams and do a "test drive" lol
My mum wants to buy the pram as this is her first grandchild so she thinks she has to.... which she does-not! But I'm not gonna complain I suppose lol

AGirlinLondon · 17/07/2018 12:54

@December my mum bought our pram. Apparently it is the tradition. Which is really nice.

I agree on the testing out! I did this in Mothercare on sunday. I was SO shocked by how heavy prams are. I had absolutely no idea. The Stokke ones were gorgeous but I live in London and I can just imagine me trying to get on a bus with one...or over our footbridge to town. And these didn’t even have a baby in!

December2018 · 17/07/2018 13:02

We have quite a steep front step and a really narrow porch so it's going to be super difficult picking out the right pram... ohh gosh I didn't realise prams could be so heavy? They look really light and nimble some of them too don't they!.... decieving buggers!

Aww it's so nice of mums buying prams!... it's strange to think I'll be doing it in maybe 20 +++ years to come haha
And they will probably only get more expensive! I might as well start saving now 😂

kaytees · 17/07/2018 13:12

Thanks for the tip-off @AGirlinLondon - am off to check if the one near us has any deals! I LOVE our yoyo pram (have it as a second one as, like you, we do a lot of travelling and are in London) and it's so good. Did you get the newborn bit? What's it like?

AGirlinLondon · 17/07/2018 14:48

@kaytees that’s great to hear! I love the newborn bit. Only thing is it is a bit lower than I thought but I guess it has to be because of the design. We will also perhaps get a jogger so we have something with sturdier wheels but I can see us getting a lot of use out of this one. I also got a maxicosi so it will fit on for when we go on hols 😊

SavanahXx · 17/07/2018 15:50

Hellooo ladies Smile I was wondering if I could join your lovely group? I'm currently 18+1 weeks and due on December 17th Grin this isn't my first pregnancy, its my third, but I had two MMC which where awful, but OH was amazingly supportive. Given all that, when I found out I was pregnant this time round, it was very scary. luckily, I had my 12 week scan, and baby wouldn't keep still!! Star and had a strong HB. But being left from the scan till the next with not knowing what was going on, or if baby was ok was making me so anxious, so when I seen the midwife yesterday, I expressed how anxious I was, but she didn't seem generally interested, but eventually she ended up using the Doppler, and after a tense 5mins or so of her not finding anything, I heard my baba's heartbeat and it was amazing!! melted my heart so much!! I have my 20 weeks scan in just under two weeks, and I cant wait to see him or her wriggling around Smile Xxx

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 17/07/2018 16:29

Welcome @SavanahXx it sure sounds like you've had a hard time getting to this stage but I'm so pleased you're here now! Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat 💗 thrilled for you 😁
Hope you find this group helpful x

SavanahXx · 17/07/2018 16:36

thank you so much @GoldilocksTheGraceless Smile it was an amazing experience, still cant believe how lucky me and OH are, still nerve wrecking though, taking each day as it comes, but sure I've been feeling LO kick for the past week or more now, so its reassuring

December2018 · 17/07/2018 16:45

Hi SavanahXx your due 2 days before me, congratulations and welcome hun where a lovely bunch (if I do say so myself)

Feeling those movements is awesome isn't it!!

emwithme · 17/07/2018 16:55

So the scan went really well, all growing as it should be and (as I thought) we're on Team Pink. Matilda was very co-operative with the scan, was waving away and moving her legs and apparently has her feet right up under my ribs already. Placenta is anterior but nice and high and my cervical length is good (I had a LLETZ procedure years ago so may need a suture but it's all good at the moment).

SunshineSnowflakesDaydreams · 18/07/2018 06:46

Hi ladies!
Hope you don't mind me joining the group.
I'm 18 + 4 and due on the 17th December. My first child had a due date of 16th December and was 12 days late, so I'm expecting this one to arrive in their own time! My 20 week scan is not until next month so we're waiting patiently (read: impatiently!) to find out the gender.
Hope you're all enjoying your pregnancies so far! I'm thrilled to have this resource of being able to connect and share with other women who are experiencing exactly what I'm experiencing!

Cakelaur · 18/07/2018 08:15

Gosh you ladies are good. I haven't bought anything!! I was kind of thinking I'd get things in October! Haha!

@SavanahXx yay!! Welcome due date twin!! All good over here. Just desperate to feel baby kick/move/anything!

Gemsie1984 · 18/07/2018 08:27

Morning ladies and bumps!
So after only feeling flutters for the last few days I've been feeling what I think are little kicks? Sorry TMI but they feel like wind 💨.. I've read the analogy 'like a fart brewing' and it's closest thing to describing what it feels like.. there's just no fart at the end! Anyone else experiencing this?

December2018 · 18/07/2018 09:08

Gemsie! 😂😂😂
Yeah I had the brewing a fart feeling last night... and then my OH put his hand on my tummy and I let out a whopper 🙀 I was sooo embarrassed but it was too funny!

But on a serious note! Yeah it does feel like wind, but sort of like a popping sensation too, I can feel him more when I've got a full bladder (80% of my life now)
