@Stephisaur congratulations! Can't believe all these boys! Knowing my luck I'll have a rare girl when I have the perfect boy's name picked out.

The baby box looks interesting, thanks for the recommendation ladies.

Wiggle4 · 14/07/2018 22:38

Thanks @InNeedOfALieInNow, I know you're right about the doppler and I will make contact with my midwife on Monday.

However it's like little Baby L knew I was worrying today as given me lots of movement today! First day like this!

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/expectingscience.com/2014/08/19/it-is-safe-to-sleep-on-your-back-while-pregnant-or-maybe-not/amp/

This is an interesting piece on the side sleeping debate and explains the left sided sleeping theory quite well.

AGirlinLondon · 14/07/2018 23:48

On a different subject...I have a line/Linea nigra developing down my (fairly obvious) bump now! I didn’t think I’d get one!

RomPom · 15/07/2018 07:40

Hi ladies,

I haven't been very active on here, but I am really thankful for the words of support. I need to spend some time catching up with how everyone is doing, but just a quick update...

My mum is still very poorly, but her kidney function is improving with the double nephrostomy tubes in place. She will have to have her bladder removed at a later date after more scans to check how advanced her cancer is and if it has spread anywhere else.

I need to go and visit my stepdad, who is in respite care as he has dementia and I'm trying to rehome their cat!

I have booked a harmony test for baby next week, as I was due to have to quad test, but nobody here seems to want to help me get my bloods done! I've had to cancel my 20 weeks scan and my consultant appointment, but hopefully the Harmony test will give me all the info I need at this stage. We will also be finding out the sex. We weren't going to, but think Mum would want to know.

I hope everyone's pregnancies are going well and there's lots of lovely bumps growing! Thanks

Stephisaur · 15/07/2018 09:06

Thinking of you @rompom 💐

Why have you had to cancel your 20 week scan? :(

AGirlinLondon · 15/07/2018 10:50

Hey @wiggle I also had a day of no baby movement yesterday - but as soon as I got in bed I felt him. I think it’s because he was catching up on sleep - I had slept terribly the night before and felt him a lot. Had I not felt him by this morning I would definitely have called in and you should too. Xx

Cakelaur · 15/07/2018 11:14

How far along are you ladies feeling movement?? I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and still haven't felt anything. (First baby)

lrwe · 15/07/2018 11:36

@Cakelaur with my first I was over 20 weeks before I felt anything, I looked pregnant a lot sooner than I felt pregnant if that makes sense. My second was around 19/20 weeks because I was so busy with my first! And this one I think I can feel pops (16 weeks) but it's sporadic!

AGirlinLondon · 15/07/2018 12:06

I was about 17/18 I think but I have a posterior placenta and am a small human so the baby is right on top Smile

It was very infrequent then though - I am 20 weeks now and feel it about twice/three times a day.

Cakelaur · 15/07/2018 12:55

Thanks ladies. I'm desperate to feel it!! I know it's still quite low down because my belly isn't that big and the heart beat is still around my knicker line. Can't wait!!

Wiggle4 · 15/07/2018 13:11

@Cakelaur last night was only the first time of feeling what I am pretty sure is movement and we were at a party with a live band so think the music woke him/her up! Im just over 18 weeks. My friends all said for their first it was gone 20 weeks before they felt it

Cakelaur · 15/07/2018 13:18

I can't wait two more weeks!!!! 😭

MagicalCreatures · 15/07/2018 13:27

@AGirlinLondon thanks. That is an interesting piece.
@RomPom how stressful for you. We’re here if you need anything.
@Cakelaur when I use my Doppler, the heartbeat is still really low down too. I was starting to think that was abit weird as my bump is so noticeable and high up now.
I’ve not felt any movements yet at 16 and a half weeks but I’ve been told I have an anterior placenta (which I did think I had) so not expecting any movements for a few weeks yet x

20 weeks today! Strange to think I'm half way through this pregnancy.

Scan on Tuesday. Can't wait to find out if we're having Edwin or Matilda.

balalalala · 15/07/2018 14:02

I think I was 18/19 weeks with my first before I felt anything! This one's been on the move since 15 weeks! I bought a count the kicks bracelet the other day which is nicely reassuring. 20wk scan tomorrow and can't wait although feeling pretty nervous too!

Gemsie1984 · 15/07/2018 14:22

I'm 19 weeks today and movement is very sporadic. I get little flutters very low down, almost on my pubic line but they're inconsistent and yesterday I felt like a stretching in my uterus that must've been him moving but my placenta is anterior. I've definitely not felt prods and when I wiggle my belly I get no response. My son would give me a kick in protest! My belly has seemingly rapidly expanded overnight however and I'm now looking VERY much pregnant.. please excuse me clutching my floppy boob 😂

OhMeOhMy1234 · 15/07/2018 14:26

My movement is very sporadic too. I’m 20 weeks and some days I feel lots, and others hardly any. He’s started doing proper kicks in the last few days, but I find I only feel them on the front of my stomach, and nothing to the sides or towards the back. So maybe on the days he’s facing backwards I don’t feel much?

December2018 · 15/07/2018 14:36

This little man is wiggling constantly! Which I early apparently as I'm 17+4
I'm feeling proper little prods now and sort of a rolling sensation, like when your on a rollercoaster and your tummy flips over (specially when I'm in the bath)😂
Also been having really bad heartburn I'm drinking milk constantly to try and relieve it a bit

Cakelaur · 15/07/2018 15:54

Ummmm..... @balalalala what is a kicks counter bracelet?? I NEED ONE!! 😂 does it count the kicks? Or you tap it when you feel a kick?? I'm off to google it!!

@Gemsie1984 that is a proper bump. Nothing like a good boob clutch on a sunday! 😂

@emwithme are you hoping for it to go one way or other??

@December2018 oooh I do get the tummy flips. Sends shivers down my spine. Most evenings. Maybe that's baby!!!

emwithme · 15/07/2018 15:58

@Cakelaur I'd be lying if I didn't say boy, but I think it's a girl...

Cakelaur · 15/07/2018 16:19

@emwithme well 🤞🏻for a blue one!! I'm secretly hoping for a girl. But not really fussed. I've only got 155days to go!! 🙈😂

balalalala · 15/07/2018 19:28

@cakelaur it's a charity that do amazing campaigning. It's basically a rubber bracelet and you move the tracker along when you feel movement!

raysan1 · 15/07/2018 22:01

I only first felt proper movement on saturday (19+3) and a few times since. Like twiches, pops and bubbling rather than kicks just yet. Also, I'm still in normal clothes, hardly showing at all, wouldn't believe I'm half way there!

AGirlinLondon · 15/07/2018 22:05

My baby seems to settle into the same position at night now - feet (or whatever is battering me) to my right about 2/3 inches from my hipbone. But I think we are all lucky to feel this early - NHS says often not until 22 weeks
