Had my 20 week scan today and found out it’s a boy! His bits were waving around for all to see Grin

December2018 · 12/07/2018 18:33

Yayyyy another boy!! Haha!
There are so many boys! I love it 💙💙

December2018 · 12/07/2018 18:35

Hi alwaysautumn I'm 17 weeks too and I've started to feel movements but like you I have to stay super still and concentrate 😂😂
It's a strange feeling isn't it 💙

AGirlinLondon · 12/07/2018 22:38

@Goldilocks your comment made me laugh - come back to me in five months!!

Gemsie1984 · 12/07/2018 23:48

So you may recall from an earlier post that I was complaining about my neighbours.. generally being inconsiderate arseholes. Well this evening they have their friends over and they're obviously smoking dope outside their window. I'm below them and have my windows open as it's hot. The smell is just constant and it's so strong. Do I say something to them tomorrow about it?

JustVent · 13/07/2018 07:55

That’s a difficult one Gemsie I’m not sure you can.
They are smoking outside and in their own property. The contents is by the by, I believe (but I might be wrong!) that police turn a blind eye to just the occasional bifter.

I guess you could ask them to smoke down the other end of the garden but unless they are lovely and accommodating people, I doubt they will comply.

It is annoying. My husband smokes occasionally and we have a balcony. Right next to our room, and my bed is right next to the the open window....

But because it’s him, I know it will last 5 minutes and go. I expect is pretty continuous with plural neighbours.

Alwaysautumn · 13/07/2018 08:58

@December2018 really strange but a nice reminder that there's actually something in there! Lots of my symptoms have eased up in the last couple of weeks which feels like a mixed blessing - less sick and tired is great, but then you start worrying that maybe things aren't okay (or at least I do!)

@Gemsie1984 we have the same problem with our neighbours (+ parties on Monday and Tuesday nights - why?!). I'm too scared to say anything because I don't want to rock the boat. I've ended up closing the windows and buying a fan Hmm

Gemsie1984 · 13/07/2018 10:59

Spoke to OH about it this morning and she just said when it happens to close the windows 🙄 She hates confrontation though. I do too it's just they're doing so many things.. drilling at midnight, moving furniture late at night, drunken rows at 2am, loud parties and now the dope. Oh and they've taken to throwing rubbish out of their windows and it's landing in the communal areas 😖 Just hate the fact they're allowed to be so inconsiderate and annoying and get away with it! 😞

Stephisaur · 13/07/2018 11:16

@Gemsie1984 well weed is illegal so I guess you could probably report them to 101? Particularly if their behaviour is anti-social at other times...

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 13/07/2018 12:23

For personal reasons I am extremely anti-drugs so I would politely explain that I'm pregnant and for the time being would they please mind not smoking weed out of the window. Play the pregnancy card my love and hope it works!!

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 13/07/2018 12:26

Having said that, my OH came home last night steaming drunk after an all day work party 🤦‍♀️ and I promptly vommed everywhere when he came near me as he was so alcoholic smelling!!! I went and slept on the air bed in the next room and he came through this morning for a cuddle with his tail between his legs. Smelt the same so I was sick again! I told him next time he comes home smelling of booze he can use the air bed and I'll stay in our comfy room 😂

Roomarmoset · 13/07/2018 14:03

Hi ladies
Has anyone been in a position where one person wants to find out the gender and one doesn't? It's our first baby and we decided we would have a surprise. Now my DH's best friend and his wife have announced they're 8 weeks behind us and they can't wait to find out what they're having. My DH has now changed his mind and said he wants to find out.
I don't mind that much but I thought it would be lovely to have a surprise.

0lgaDaPolga · 13/07/2018 16:24

Just catching up as I’ve not been on here for a few days!

@turtletree @englishirishrose and @alwaysautumn and anyone else that wants to join the Facebook group - if you just drop me a pm with a link to your Facebook page, or your name and details of what your profile pic is so I can find you I will add you to the group.

It’s a lovely group, I think there’s 48 of us on there now! It’s quite an active group and can be easier to follow conversations on there that on here sometimes!

EnglishIrishRose · 13/07/2018 16:36

Thanks @0lgaDaPolga have messaged you.

I think I felt baby moving yesterday while having a massage. Is it possible at 15 and a half weeks?

lrwe · 13/07/2018 19:46

@0lgaDaPolga I've sent a message too!

Stephisaur · 13/07/2018 19:48

@englishirishrose I’ve been feeling baby for a few weeks now (17+3) so I would say yes! This is my first so didn’t expect to feel them for a while yet! X

InNeedOfALieInNow · 13/07/2018 20:13

Hi all - I’d love to join you. I’ve been on the fence about joining as whilst my edd is the end of Dec there’s a possibility she’ll come in October or November so I’ll be totally out of sync! But will be nice to have some people around the same time to chat to

lrwe · 13/07/2018 20:22

@InNeedOfALieInNow my EDD is end of Dec as well and there's also a high possibility that baby will come in November

InNeedOfALieInNow · 13/07/2018 20:26

@irwe - apologies if I’ve got the wrong person but is yours because of cervix?
Mine is red cell antibodies - my 2nd baby was delivered by emcs at 34 weeks. We don’t know yet if or how badly this baby will be affected. So it’ll either be two weekly monitoring to term and all is fine (yet I’d still be “high risk” due to vbac) or the antibodies will mean we are looking at transfusions and early delivery. So I’ve no idea whether I’m looking at a Christmas baby or whether I’ll have a 2/4/6/8 week old baby by then

lrwe · 13/07/2018 20:37

@InNeedOfALieInNow mines because I had a rupture after trying a VBAC last time so they'll give me ELCS early, I'm hoping that they'll let me go to 37 weeks but not sure!

InNeedOfALieInNow · 13/07/2018 20:40

@irwe how scary. Did you get any warning? It’s my niggly fear about vbac, despite the fact that I am desperate to labour again given the chance (first one was a lovely and quick labour in the midwife unit)

lrwe · 13/07/2018 20:46

@InNeedOfALieInNow I was in pain through an epidural needing gas and air, with some fetal distress. It was all found in time and I'm here to tell the tale - I also lost less blood than average (600ml vs. 1l average)

To be honest I'm pretty terrified this time round, with anxiety, but I'm also excited!

MagicalCreatures · 13/07/2018 20:48

@Stephisaur scan tomorrow!!!! Can’t wait to find out if your gonna throw a girl into this huge collection of boys.
@AaronPurrSir congratulations on your little blue bundle!!!!
Had my 16 week midwife appt. I’m measuring ahead already. On my god I’m scared. No big babies please!!!!
