Hey new ladies and bumps 😘💙💖

December2018 · 12/07/2018 06:37

Gemsie that is a bump to be proud of!!!
Mine is still cake 🤭

JustVent · 12/07/2018 07:34

Hi Wiggle4, can I ask what happened last time? I had a ‘what happened last time’ as well. Flowers

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 07:37

@wiggle4 yes finding out the sex. We have a private scan booked for Saturday and then my 20 week scan is booked for the 2nd August too :)

Cakelaur · 12/07/2018 08:14

Hi @Wiggle4 welcome babe. I'm 17+3 (due 17th dec) have you considered a doppler? I had scans every two weeks up to 12 weeks after my mmc last time. And now the doppler has managed to get 12weeks through til now without a scan (although I am dying to have another one) sending hugs. At what point did you lose you last bub (if you don't mind me asking) do you have a "safe point" in mind??

@Gemsie1984 I get the stabbing boob pains. And the aches and pains. I imagined pregnancy to be SOOOOO different to how it is!! Haha!

PandaDec2018 · 12/07/2018 09:05

Hi all

Are there any threads where people uploads pics for a bit of fun for nub theory guesses? Grin

JustVent · 12/07/2018 09:47

HERE!! I will guess!

PandaDec2018 · 12/07/2018 09:52

Ah I cannot even see how to post a picture on here! I am not usually this and with technology haha!

JustVent · 12/07/2018 09:55

Maybe PM it to me? I can post it on here for you

JustVent · 12/07/2018 10:57

Here’s pandas 12 week scan. I can’t see a nub, can anyone else?
Do you have any other pics of the bottom half being a bit clearer?

PandaDec2018 · 12/07/2018 10:59

Thank you JustVent Smile

Only pic I have to hand, not a great pic I did think it might be not clear enough for guesses!

I have a couple of other photos at home I will have a look tonight :)

jaychops · 12/07/2018 11:51

Hello ladies! Can I join? I was initially predicted 2nd December at an early scan as my EDD but was brought forward to 29th November at my 12 week scan, however I know exactly when I ovulated so I still think 2nd December is right. I'm 20 weeks today (halfway yippee!) Although this is going off the Nov EDD.

I have a DD who will be 3 just before DC2 is born. With her I was sick everyday for months and felt awful throughout pregnancy. This time I've had no sickness and felt well, especially since 13 weeks. Up until this last week when I've felt so nauseous and tired! I hope it's just a bad week and not a sign of things to continue!

20 week scan on Monday!!

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 14:41

Welcome @jaychops! :)

I've come on here to moan. DH is being a grump and doing my head in. We have our private scan on Saturday, which my Mum is paying for. Due to this, she feels entitled to be in the room with us. I want the scan and cba to fight with her on it tbh. DH said that if my Mum was going to be there, then his Mum should be too. Fine. So now she's coming.

DH is stropping that we need to have anyone else there at all and doesn't see why we couldn't just wait until the 20 week scan. I'm just really not in the mood for it today.

Rant over!

JustVent · 12/07/2018 15:05

So your DH is saying that he wants his mum there and he doesn’t want either mums there?

I can understand your mum wanting to be there, I think that’s fair enough. Your DH is BU, I’m not sure why is an issue.

Do check with the place in case there’s a limit to how many people can attend though, just in case.

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 15:27

@JustVent already checked and they're fine with all the rabble (shame!).

I think he's only said about his mum being there because my mum is going to be. I don't get the feeling that his mum is particularly bothered about it to be honest.

I get where he's coming from, but I wasn't going to turn down a free scan! Half tempted to call the place and ask if they can take the two of us in on our own first "as a precaution" and then ask them in afterwards so that we can technically find out on our own. Would that be weird/daft?

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 12/07/2018 15:57

Welcome all newbies!! 😍

Congratulations on a boy @MagicalCreatures 😁🙌🧢

@Stephisaur I think that's a great idea, you two have the first peek and then mamas get to enjoy being invited in. Also I expect that on the day DP will forget about the drama and just enjoy seeing beautiful little bean. Annoying in the meantime though!!

I'm sure I've felt some movements now 😬😁🤞 at 17+2 today. Yesterday and today I've had wriggly kind of stretchy pain but kind of deep not like the muscles stretchy stuff before. It feels like bean is exploring the limits of the uterus 😂 also last night I experimented 🤭 and kind of smushed over my left side. Waited about 5 seconds and then felt these little movements on my right side as though it had moved along! Started crying (way before eng lost 😂)
Have any of you had similar experiences?

Wiggle4 · 12/07/2018 16:10

Hi @JustVent, I lost my little baby girl in November at 24 weeks due to severe early onset IUGR

@Cakelaur I do want a doppler but my OH isn't keen. My friend has one though which I wanna use. My midwife would do it but it's all a faff then making appointment etc. Lost baby girl at 24 weeks but we found out at 20 weeks so it had gone wrong between 12 and 20. Had a 16 week scan last week but 20 still feels so far away

@Stephisaur we are saying we won't find out the sex but it's so tempting. I had to turn away at the 16 week growth scan haha

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 16:17

@wiggle4 I'm pretty sure I saw at our 16 week scan haha they were checking the baby due to my wonky hormone levels on my quad test though so it felt a bit weird to go "errr... is that a boy?" Grin

@GoldilocksTheGraceless thank you :) I'll try calling them tonight or tomorrow and having a word :)

AGirlinLondon · 12/07/2018 16:21

@steph I think you have the patience of a BLOODY saint!

I agree; two people in first. Check everything looking ok and then the guests. The private guys never rush you so it’ll be fine.

Perhaps try to explain to the hangers on that these scans might seem like just a bit of fun but it’s when you find out whether your baby is ok, and you need to keep stress to a minimum.

I took my mum to my 12 week scan because my OH was overseas. She was the worst hospital guest ever (much more nervous than me, AND a doctor Hmm) BUT it was an experience we will never forget and a lovely thing to share. I would do it again in a minute.

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 16:31

@agirlinlondon we have to work with my parents so I just kind of don't fight on a lot of things. Not the hill I want to die on and all that.

I've emailed the clinic so fingers crossed they don't think I'm a complete nut job!!

I do love my Mum, but she can be really overbearing.

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 16:39

Already had an email back to say that it's fine to go in on our own first and they've put a note of my request on the system.

Phew!

AGirlinLondon · 12/07/2018 17:16

Hurrah! And to think that at the beginning of all this we thought the baby was going to be the hard work Grin

Alwaysautumn · 12/07/2018 17:18

Hi everyone! I've been reading along for a little bit but haven't wanted to join in until now out of general anxiety. Reading this thread has been very reassuring that everything physical/emotional that I've been experiencing is normal - so thank you to everyone.

I'm 17 weeks today and think that I've started to feel movements in the last few days (the typical bubble popping sensation when I'm lying/sitting VERY still).

This is my first time and I can't believe how slowly time moves in the first trimester/early second trimester!

I've seen a Fbook group mentioned - if that's still going please can someone let me know how to join Smile

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 12/07/2018 17:18

Hahaha I can't wait to read that comment back in 5 months and see how we feel 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Stephisaur · 12/07/2018 17:31

@alwaysautumn @0lgaDaPolga is your woman for the Facebook group :)

@agirlinlondon he’s still in a mood 🙄 can’t win. The baby will be easier than dealing with DH sometimes I’m sure of it 😂 love him to bits but he can’t half strop!
