Did you have your scan today gemsie!
Omg! You had the girl vibe too didn't you!
I'm absolutely over the moon for you babe!!
💙💙💙💙
We find out on Saturday... there is a whole tribe of us going! 7 of us 😜🙀

Gemsie1984 · 27/06/2018 12:24

He was a little bugger! Legs crossed back to camera.. it took three attempts, a bar of chocolate and a bottle of ice cold water and star jumps to get him to cooperate!

DottyA · 27/06/2018 12:26

Congrats @gemsie1984.

Just had nuchal results through - 1/1800 for T21 and < 1/20,000 for T13/18 - really pleased as that's a lot better than last time and I'll be 39 when this one's born.

AGirlinLondon · 27/06/2018 12:33

So pleased for everyone!!! @Gemsie wonderful news, must be something about boys because mine is a pain at scans too!! X

FutureDays · 27/06/2018 13:22

Ah that's ace finding out so soon, I'm desperate to find out what we are having, last time I had the harmony test so we found out at 12 weeks.

I've started feeling a bit less exhausted and the sickness has massively reduced which is good, but now I feel better I find myself worrying a lot whether everything is ok, I remember stressing about it last time until I started feeling movements.

Paranormalbouquet · 27/06/2018 14:09

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve disappeared, have been quite stressed and needed time away!

I’m 14+5 now, recovered from surgery, nausea settled but no anxious re lack of movements. Which I know I won’t feel for ages as I have an anterior placenta which is a thick cushion in the way. I started feeling early flutters with DD around 16 weeks so was hoping for sooner this time but guessing it will probably be later if anything.

When have those of you with anterior placentas started feeling things?

DottyA · 27/06/2018 14:33

Paranormal mine was anterior last time and I felt nothing until after 20 weeks. Can't remember exactly but I know I hadn't felt anything before my 20 week scan. That was my first though so it might be different with a second.

Paranormalbouquet · 27/06/2018 14:52

Thanks @DottyA, I think I’m just super anxious this time around. Having had 3 miscarriages and needing cerclage has made me very nervous! With DD placenta was very high and posterior and I felt little movements low down very early. But this time it’s low and anterior so expecting it to be a while.

EnglishIrishRose · 27/06/2018 16:51

Congratulations @Gemsie1984that's exactly what DW and I are afraid of... a boy! Lol no it would be nice actually and I definitely have a boy feeling. Was this a private scan and would you say it's worth it?

My bloods came back today too, I declined T21 but relieved to see that T13/T18 was less than 1 in 100,000 I guess I can stop worrying now!

Gemsie1984 · 27/06/2018 17:54

We were hoping for a boy. I'd convinced myself I was having a girl.. so it was a shock! I'd say it was worth it yeah. It was £45 and that includes a 4D preview. And they were very patient as baby was misbehaving so it took three attempts!

MagicalCreatures · 27/06/2018 18:46

@Gemsie1984 awww congrats hun. So pleased for you.
I’ve just booked my gender scan for the 11th July (my birthday) so we can go out for dinner with the family after and surprise everyone. I’m so excited!!!!
@JustVent sorry your feeling so worried. But I think there is truth to the placenta thing.
I’m sure I have (though it hasn’t been confirmed) got an anterior placenta and I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and I’m all belly. Been showing since 9 weeks but now there is no hiding it at all x

Had a consultant appointment this morning. Went really well, apart from the fact that they were running SO late, and the waiting room had no air conditioning, no windows and was PACKED.

I am now having a cervical length scan at my 20 week scan to see if I need a stitch (Had a LLETZ procedure years ago), being referred to the cardiologists to have an ECG to see that everything's fine with my heart (some of my pre-existing conditions can have cardiac implications) and I'm probably going to be put on injectable blood thinners from 28 weeks.

But the best bit? We got to hear the heartbeat! 😍😍😍 and I think I'm having a little girl.

ND348 · 27/06/2018 21:07

I've got a gender scan this week too, will be 18 weeks. Booked as a surprise for DH, he doesn't know yet! I've not felt any movements I don't think, bit was told I might have an anterior placenta so that might be why...

AGirlinLondon · 27/06/2018 21:36

Ladies with an anterior placenta - enjoy the peace while you can Grin. I have a posterior placenta and my ----worm child wriggling and turning around is now making me feel like I’ve got morning sickness! Wow this is the oddest feeling of my life. I swear today I pressed my stomach and got a kick in return! Smile

December2018 · 27/06/2018 22:06

Haha mine is posterior too and it feels like I've swallowed an eel, specially at night when I'm trying to sleep 😂😂

Cakelaur · 27/06/2018 23:05

Oooh @emwithme great news. What makes you think little girl?

How do you know if you have anterior/posterior etc? And what's the positioning? (Sorry that sounds thick)

@December2018.... SEVEN of you going??? How do you know that many pregnant people?! Haha!! All these scans are making me want one. I'm staying team yellow!!

@Gemsie1984 yay!! 💙💙

Gemsie1984 · 27/06/2018 23:37

Normally a scan confirms placental positioning. Anterior is at the front, so women feel movements later as baby just wriggles into the placenta. Posterior is at the back, though placenta can be posterior left/right depending on area of implantation. Mine is also anterior, I'm feeling movement but low down and just little wiggles.

Izzyw1983 · 28/06/2018 04:51

Hey all...just found this....im due 29th December.
Was told 10 years ago that I wouldn't be able to conceive so gave up on the idea of ever having a baby. Never used protection and now it's actually happened....im terrified but excited too lol
I have no idea what I'm doing and every pain or weird feeling scares me haha
But after my 6wk...8wk...and 12wk scan I'm finally relaxing... the father has decided he's not interested so now doing it alone...

December2018 · 28/06/2018 05:59

Haha cake they're not all pregnant they are just family that are really exited and want to be there 😂😂

emwithme · 28/06/2018 07:19

@Cakelaur I think it's a girl because the heartbeat sounded just like galloping horses (rather than a steam train) which apparently points towards girl.

I also have an anterior placenta (they told me at my 12 week scan) and am only just starting to feel more than flutters now (17+4). It's a strange feeling but lovely.

I also seem to have developed a bump (rather than "Is that cake?") over the past couple of days which is lovely...It's starting to be bigger than my boobs (bearing in mind I'm a 38HH that's going some!)

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 28/06/2018 08:36

Hi lovelies 😍 sorry I've been away for ages - I've been stalking you all on here but sneaking peeks while on the middle of things so haven't had a chance to write back!
Welcome @Izzyw1983 what a rollercoaster! Sorry to hear about the fella - clearly not worth it anyway and we all have your back for sure!!! X

Everyone with scans congratulations and yay for finding out!
@Cakelaur you're so strong staying yellow!

I'm anterior too and only 15+2 so haven't felt anything just yet. I have however had a little bump appear over night yesterday which is quite funny.

Sickness has finally 😬 abated but I don't want to jinx it 😂 I haven't been sick since Friday so hoping for the best.

Are any of you planning a babymoon?

Cakelaur · 28/06/2018 08:37

@Gemsie1984 thanks for that. So what's the "norm"? If there is such a thing? They didn't mention anything about where placenta was at my scan. I hope it's posterior so I can feel soon. 🤞🏻

@December2018 ooooooh that makes WAY more sense!! Hahaha!!! Eek so exciting! What do you think you've got growing in there?

@emwithme ooooh. Mine changes what it sounds like. But mostly is say mine is a train. But it's higher. 165ish. And they say above 140 is girl (old wives tale I know) how exciting on the bump though!

@Izzyw1983 welcome babe! How amazing!!! And sounds like you're a strong woman who's gonna manage perfectly on her own!!

Cakelaur · 28/06/2018 08:45

@GoldilocksTheGraceless my sickness has also disappeared! Hopefully. I get the odd random moment but generally I'm feeling more human. We did a babymoon in April (it was actually booked when we first fell pregnant last time but then lost the baby but amazing we were pregnant again by the time we went) we went to Mauritius it was perfect. We just slept for 10days!! Haha!!
I'm trying to stay strong on the team yellow front. OH wants it more than me!! Haha. I'd happily find out.

Still no movement from me. Although I did have a weird pinch inside which gave me goosebumps and then two flips which made me feel a bit queezy but no idea if that was baby or coincidence. Haha

JustVent · 28/06/2018 09:01

Still no bumpz
